Well I'm surly glad that I was recommended Trail Stop last month. Over the last few weeks we have eaten here several times. The service is amazing and everyone who works here seems to really enjoy their job and really appreciates the business they are receiving. Food has been really fresh and always ready when I get there less then 15 minutes. Wings come in several flavors and you receive more then one serving for sure. Burgers are juicy and meaty, and flat breads are enough to feed a few people each. The bruschetta flat bread was the best I've ever had and I can't wait to try the regular Bruschetta. The menu is full if different offerings to fit any craving. Thank you for consistently proving great food and amazing service. This is the third or fourth iteration of a bar in that I recall in this location. And, I think the strongest. Nice array of options on the menu. I've enjoyed their burgers, jalapeño poppers, and wings. Respectable tap beer selection. Parking can be a challenge and inside acoustics can make it difficult to hear each other on busier nights. Trail Stop is a fantastic family friendly spot to grab a bite or a quick drink. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. The food is amazing. My favs are the Meatball Flatbread, Szechuan Chicken, TST Wings, Hot Chicago Beef and the Hangover Burger. Make your own bloodies on Sunday and of course pull tabs. Love TST!!! read more

I want to like this place because it's close to home and has a friendly hometown feel, but after the fourth strike I won't be back. Sat on patio today. Smells dirty and had to look at cigarette butts and garbage along the curb. I've had burgers here and each time found the meat tasting bland and of low quality. Same with the sirloin. Too bad. Everything on the menu sounds so good but it just doesn't quite make it there. Place is in need of attention in my opinion. read more

We stopped in for cocktails (out of towners) on a recommendation from a local. Angel was one of the best bartenders we've had in a long time. We sat and watched her handle a full bar almost by herself and our drinks were never empty (I'm a huge water drinker and that's one of my things). She had a huge smile on her face at all time and the servers were never waiting for cocktails for tables. SHE WAS AMAZING!!!! Highly recommend!!! And of course, ask for Angel! While I live trail stop for the community of people that frequent there this review is for the breakfast that is simply the best in our area. They have a self serve bloody bar (if your in to that). My favorite items are the avocado toast and the breakfast bowl. Although, We have had other items that are good too those two are our favorites. The service is friendly and efficient and being a local/neighborhood location all the patrons are looking for the same thing. This place has an adorable secluded patio. I had a ABLT with Ava ado, pepper bacon super crisp, lettuce and tomato and. Chipotle Mayo. Delish and fries were awesome. Rob had a rice bowl - Korean beef, which was full of veggies (yay) but really spicey (boo) Terrific and we will be back. read more

I arrived about an hour early to secure a big table for my group of eight. They had 2 split tables that were connected with a bench that split our group in half. As I was waiting I ordered a beer and tater tots with the intention to start a tab, but there was miscommunication and I had to pay and start another tab. The menu has some bougie fare like duck fritters and lamb shank risotto and some good ol pub fare like a pub pretzel and chicken wings. The beer selection isn't the greatest but they do have some local options on tap. The service was fair. My plates sat on the table until she noticed I was getting up to bus them myself before my group arrived. My gal pals like to gather here so I will give it another chance. read more

This place has pretty good food, but why 5 stars? Their customer service. They go above and beyond. I ordered for pick up and ended up getting grilled chicken instead of crispy in my wrap which wouldn't normally bother me, but I was really craving that crispy buffalo chicken. I called when I got home and they offered to make me a new one the same day; or save it for another. I went back the next day and they were so amazing and knew right away. Offered to make me whatever I wanted....which was a crispy chicken buffalo wrap and it was fantastic. Their buffalo sauce has a little more kick than others..you can see the cayenne pepper in that stuff! I get it on the side so I can control it. I did order wings there once and the amount of sauce was absolutely insane. It was way too much. I saw others come up with a normal amount so I'm wondering if they just botched it? Next time I would ask for them extra crisp and lite sauce. I love buffalo wings if you can't tell lol read more

In the era of social distancing, we have been trying all the local places we can. Boy are we glad we tried out Trail Stop Tavern last night. We ordered tons of food for just the two of us and enjoyed all of it. One of our favorites was the buffalo chicken mac & cheese. So comforting and spicy- just what the doctor ordered. I also loved the pretzel appetizer I got which came with 3 fantastic sauces. Once the pandemic restrictions are lifted, we'll definitely be checking out their dine-in option. My wife and I found this place during the (first) Covid shutdown and knew before we got the chance to eat our meals that we'd be coming back once their doors opened for dining in. It's been mentioned elsewhere, but the customer service here is awesome! The first few times we got take out I noticed that the manager was either genuinely appreciative of our business during slower times or an Oscar-worthy actress. She made us feel as if our stopping in was the highlight of her day. Since they re-opened, we've stopping to dine-in a half dozen times and had a good variety of dishes. All have been worth having again and most are really good. The Nashville hot sliders may be my personal favorite, but each of the sandwiches, the wings, and every salad that my wife has had are worth a try. read more

I have been going here for a few years now and it never disappoints! I am obsessed with the wild cat fries. The servers are always friendly and fast. I love that they have specials that are not on the main menu, so there is always something new to consider when ordering. My favorites are the boneless buffalo wings. They have a light breading and a richer sauce than most places and the bonus is the best bleu cheese dressing around. The wild cat fries are amazing if you are a fan of bleu cheese. Finally, a new good restaurant this is not the first restaurant that has tried to make a go of it in the space, but I think we finally found one that works. We were able to sit outside, which I usually don't like to do at restaurants, because you are sitting in the parking lot,but because this is a small area it was actually very nice. There is full bar service there but we chose not to drink this evening. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich which comes with a pesto sauce and mozzarella and it was really tasty and quite large. All their sandwiches come with a choice of many sides I went for the sweet potato fries. The first time I came out, there were warm but not hot I chose to send them back. This is your "hometown" restaurant and bar were you're a stranger only once and not for long. Here are a few things to try: Dry rub wings: These are a flavorful meaty wing with Trail Stops secret herbs and spices. Even after a dozen of these you'll want more. ABLT: Avocado Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato: Light, refreshing, flavorful, and crispy on a toasted ciabatta bun. I was surprised how well it satisfies. Even for me, a complete steak kind of guy. Chicken and waffles: I was suspicious of this menu item. Chicken and waffles are a southern 'thang'. This is all comfort food, all wonderful, and completely unhealthy for you. You have to try it! Prince Edward Island Mussels: I'm always weary of seafood in a bar and grill. I was reassured by the manager, "Red Beard", that these were good. He was wrong, these are really good. First of all for $10.99 you get about two dozen mussels in a giant bowl and a few slices of garlic toast. This enough food for a full meal. The mussels were steamed in their "beurre blanc sauce" (butter sauce) with fresh sausage, tomatoes, and basil diced up in the mix. There wasn't a bad mussel in the batch. Definitely full of locals. Menu looks good. Was recommended by a friend so we tried the boneless wings. Blue cheese dressing is a bit too seasoned if you are a purist, the ranch was excellent. Boneless wings were a bit dry. Even with sauce. The poutine was yummy. Loved the cheese curds on top. Would have been top notch with actual pot roast and not diced deli roast beef. I have been here several times and have been pleased with the service and the quality of the food. However the last two times I have been here have not been satisfactory. The time before this the items I ordered were not prepared well. I tend to order the same things when I find something I like, but in this instance, both the fish and the fries were soggy. Today, I called mid-afternoon to see if I needed a reservation for dinner. The person who answered the phone said no, but if you have a reservation it will guarantee that we have a table for you. I made the reservation for inside ( it was hot and sticky outside) and arrived promptly at 6:00 for my reservation. I walked up to the hostess and told her I was here for my table. She replied that she was sorry, she thought she would have a table but they were all full and the only seating was outside. I promptly left and found another place to eat. I guess their guarantee of a table with a reservation doesn't mean much. read more

Great food! I've been here many times. Service is basic but we've had some good ones, too. The day manager was bartending one night and she's fantastic! Probably the nicest person I've ever met there. The place is super small so don't plan to go for dinner with your fam without calling in advance to find out the wait time. The TST wings are soooo good!! Even the kids Mac n cheese is excellent. Honestly. This local spot supports local teams, schools, and a contributor to the community. This is a great example of a 3.5 star place, with potential for a 4 star ranking. We live close by and have driven past it many a time, but never came in. Stopped in for dinner and would say that it's a good experience overall. Let me break it down: 1. It's noisy. But, it's a good noisy. 2. Friendly and fast service. Nothing to complain about. Quick to refill your drink and give you enough space to talk and enjoy. 3. The food was a bit of hit and miss. Let me start with the Cuban pot roast. It was outstanding. Phenomenal. Tots and fries were solid. Good, but not great wings; however a sizable portion. The poutine was not good. The gravy was thick and a bit lukewarm. The cuts of meat were too thin and the choice to use deep fried curds is a mistake. Normally you can get by with that decision. But, not when you pair it with such a heavy gravy. Basically you get soggy curds. The overall menu is wide enough that we'll be back and I have a feeling this will go from a 3 star to a 4 star. read more

Myself and my friends went here for the first time for a happy hour. It was a great environment and we had the opportunity to sit on the patio. It was a beautiful patio and they even have a heater that they turned on for us as it was a little bit of a cooler spring evening. The Caesar salad was very good although the chicken was a little bit bland. The chicken strips and fries were solid and you could tell that the chicken strips were a little bit higher quality. We both ordered margaritas to drink. They were very good. However the first margarita and the second margarita did not taste the same (not sure if they had a change over in bartenders but the flavor was not consistent from one to the other) but they were both delicious. The bathrooms were very clean which is always a plus. There was a mixture of happy our customers as well as some families with children. The waitress was very nice however she seemed to be a little new or just unfamiliar with some of the details regarding their happy hour specials. We would definitely go back again. read more

I've driven passed this place dozens of times and never really though much about it until we were looking for a late lunch the other weekend. We walked in and the place was crowded without being overly busy which meant we got a seat right away. We started with the wings which were really good and the portion was pretty big which turned out to be a common theme. I got the breakfast burger and the wife got a sandwich which were both delicious and big enough that neither of us managed to finish everything. The service was great too our waitress was friendly and attentive without being overbearing and the food came out very quickly. We've been coming here for years! This building has changed hands so many times we were excited when they hit a win with Trail Stop. They have added to their patio for those who wish to be seated outside "during these unprecedented times". Even thought it was raining, we were able to safely weather the storm due to the genuinely friendly staff, and fantastic drinks. Its been a few things since I moved to the area but I think Trail Stop will stick. As close to a neighborhood bar as you can get in Eagan, it attracts the locals with great daily specials. Monday is wing night and I suggest you try their dry rub flavor. Happy Hour runs from 3-6 for both food and drinks with extended hours on Wednesdays. Not the greatest tap list but they do have a few rotating seasonal crafts. If you are looking to catch the game there are plenty of TV's and depending on the event some drink specials. They do offer entertainment on the weekends so watch their website for dates and for the pianist Tom Hunter! He's amazing. One thing they hopefully change is the noice level. TV was blasting and people had to almost yell to each other to hear the person next to them. If you go and its loud try the patio, much quieter out there. read more

We've come here multiple times and after all these times I'm hard pressed to write many positive things about this place. The only highlight is the Buffalo Mac n Cheese. The rest of the menu we've tried is severely lacking in flavor or put together well. Thier burgers are always overcooked and lack any flavor that would set them apart from anyrhing else. The wings are serviceable and are a decent Monday happy hour, $.75 wings. They have a buffalo chicken wrap that's just a sloppy mess. When you put lettuce in a wrap and warm it up the lettuce turns to complete mush, it sounds good on the menu but when it's on the plate it's far from appetizing. The service is decent but theres been times where it's been dead we still have to wait around. Granted everyone is super friendly and the bar tender seems to know his regulars well. I really wish there were more positive things to say about this place as I think it could he a really great neighborhood tavern read more
