He stayed on top of our orders and refills, and he took allergies seriously, checking with the kitchen to make sure certain dishes were safe. That level of care is always appreciated. As always, the food was excellent. I usually go for the crabcakes, but this time I tried the special, a crowned salmon, and it was so tasty. They truly do seafood well here, and the portions are always hearty. Every experience here is consistently great. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the manager even stopped by our table to check in, which was a nice touch. I always recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Williamsburg.

It's fun to peruse the shop while waiting for your table. They serve breakfast in the morning and lunch after breakfast. For lunch, we really enjoy the Miss Melinda's Special. It starts with a little fruit salad comprising peaches and a slice of pineapple on a piece of lettuce, covered with a mayonnaise type of dressing and cheddar cheese. I know it sounds strange, but it's refreshingly tasty. You also receive a cup of Brunswick Stew and two ham biscuits. Delicious! The meal comes with a piece of pie, with your choices including buttermilk that tastes like lemon (yum!), coconut, chocolate, and a fruit pie, like cherry. Plus, you receive hot or iced tea and coffee. You also can carry out their menu items. I often order a container of Brunswick Stew and some ham biscuits for guests coming in late from out of town.
