I grabbed a couple fist fulls of fresh red chili peppers and bright orange habaneros along with some assorted vegetables for a spicy curry recipe at a reasonable price during my visit. My aunt and I also selected some delicious cooked duck and pork (asian style) that was rich and delicious and worth every cent. Fresh world further lived up to their name with a fish market and butcher which provided me with some Mexican and Chinese style sausage made on site that day. If you are looking for reasonably priced produce and fresh cooked and affordable Peking duck and pork than visit Fresh world instead of your local grocery chain. The only minor gripe is that we were approached by very religious christians that followed my aunt and I to our car telling us how much Jesus loved us and pushing pamphlets. They were not threatening and only pushy. Had they taken a polite no for an answer, I would have given the place 5 stars.

What makes this situation even more ironic is the message printed on the store's bag: "Always FRESH!". Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. This isn't really about the money. The amount is small. The issue is that customers should not be sold produce that is already rotten inside. If a store promotes "Always Fresh," there should be proper quality control to ensure the products on the shelf actually meet that promise. I hope someone from Fresh World's management or marketing team reaches out to address this situation, offer the appropriate apology, and refund the purchase. Regardless of the price, customers should not have to pay for food that is already spoiled. I'm sharing this so other shoppers are aware and can check their produce carefully when buying from this store.

Wegman's also has excellent meat and seafood sections. The bakery is impressive. And one thing they have improved since we first shopped here five years ago is that they have toned down the blasting music that used to make us want to get fast out of Wegman's. The hot foods section used to be pretty good, but now it has shriveled down to next to nothing, The take-home pre-prepared meals, while very good in quality, are exorbitant. Plan on spending $16-$18 for a simple meal, which is as much as you would pay in a restaurant for the same stuff. While they have an abundance of self-check stations, Wegman's doesn't let you get cash back, like you can at Safeway. The self-check stations can be persnickety. Today, I encountered one machine claiming I had put an unchecked item in the bagging item before I had even started scanning my stuff. Yikes! But what I really don't like is how Wegman's does bagging. The Virginia legislature in 2022 passed a law allowing grocery stores to collect from customers 5¢ for each plastic bag used. Wegman's has completely done away with plastic bags, yet Wegman's but takes advantage of that law to charge 5¢ for each paper bag. The icing on the cake is their paper sacks do not even have handles.

No grocery store I go to has store employees monitoring you for carts. When I finished shopping and wanted to take the cart to my car to unload, they stopped me as if I am not allowed to do that. There are no cart storage lanes in the parking lot so you have to bring the carts back. I was only in the area so I stopped by, but unlikely to return here.

Five Plus Stars All The Way!!! I Love this store. I've been going there since they opened in springfielx, VA. I am so happy they are close to where I live. I use to have to drive about 20miles to get to the store in Fairfax. Ugh! This store always has the best, freshest products out there. Occasionally, they run out of my Ezekiel bread, but get it in quickly.. They have most all the things the regular groceries do not have. I do recommend that they have more of the Rice Pasta and different types. Their prices are pretty good too. Also, the staff is TOP Notch! They are friendly, helpful and always anxious to help their customers; they have actually dropped what they were doing to go in the back to find somethings for me.. I do NOT find that to be the case in most grocery stores with the exception of Costco, I love them too.. In my opinion, this is how a store, any store should treat their customers. I love this Trader Joe's. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And of course the quality of products for the price is unbeatable. You really can't go wrong with any Trader Joe's though, but I think this one is the best in the area. I bought two sushi rolls, a giant amount of seaweed salad , and three boxes of ice cream sandwiches there. $40 for all the groceries - not bad. I, also, signed up for a free H Mart card. H mart offers a shopping card to use when you buy groceries for store deals & to collect points for a $10 gift card. If you collect 1,000 points in groceries, you get a $10 gift card to use in H Mart.

There was strangely no aroma from the marinade and as the beef cooked, an overwhelming disgusting SOUR aroma began emitting. I got a new pan, thinking perhaps I burnt the sesame oil; nope, the HMart sold me $25 worth of rotting meat. I threw away all the meat and had to eat a veggie dinner including the kenyip banchan. Woke up in the middle of the night with a food poisoning itchy rash on the back of my thigh. My partner had not eaten the banchan and was fine--threw away the kenyip too. I tried calling the market twice to complain and tell them at the very least to take the rotten beef off the shelves. No one picked up of course. So I'm doing my own recall here. Take note of the date!

Their oatmeal cookies are pretty good. All these cookies freeze well.
