I have been coming to this store for forever. They sell so many differemt types of healthy drink options hete. Ever since I stopped drinking soda, I've been shoppimg here for Pelligrino water. Unfortunately they only sell this in 8 packs or full cases, and it would be nice to someday be able to ourchase single bottles of this stuff. They often have sales for other types of drinks also if you buy two or more, like Vitamin Water, O ther things that I frequently purchase are their very affordable 12" sub sandwiches. I isially get either tuna, Italian, or turkey. These are quite good and for sire healthier than fast food. i have notoced that a couple of theor other items like Nitrigrain bars are more expensive than other grocery stores.

6/18/22 Last week I came here with my dad. This is now the only Safeway close to my dad's house. A staff member being lazy and/or untrained told my dad to "go to customer service to get fish orders." I wasn't there for this I interaction because I was on another assignment in the store. Still the staffs I saw looked like they wanted to be elsewhere. I hope a Costco opens up near my dad's house so some real assistance can be applied to the job.

Bought so called fresh USA origin tuna at the fish section. Was inedible, tasted like cardboard. What a lie.

For all my white girls out there, I was shocked by the size of the wine section, complete with a closed off faux wine cellar.

Therefore, for that moment I felt like I was in heaven when I stopped in and saw the wine selections, my heart was happy, I felt like I was back home in Seattle, WA, and for those of you who have never been to Washington State, one thing you need to know is this, you can buy beer, wine and liquor very late at any grocery store, 7-11, gas stations and/mom & pop stores in and outiside of the city and that's why I was so happy to see Trader Joe's in DC had the option to shop for both groceries libations (wine). The staff members are always happy to help you find items, and customer service is always great, in my opinion. I love me some Trader Joe's, even if I'm not able to purchase wine at my local Trader Joe's, or not is still my favorite place to shop for my groceries since I eat the same thing I already know how much I'm going to spend on griceries. and I will take the drive. However, now I will make the drive to DC to do both when I can. After all, I'm a road warrior. Again, this is just my opinion and experiences. Love U!

I regularly go to the Glover Park location so am quite familiar with the layout, but I must say this location is spacious and even when it's busy, it's rarely overwhelming. Also the staff here are what makes this location so great! They are always so friendly, fast, and efficient! I have been to other locations where there was a lack of friendliness and efficiency, and these qualities really make the difference. Trader Joe's also still manages to have reasonable prices in DC which I appreciate. Lastly, they have free parking which is always a bonus.

We came in, found what we needed, checked out, and were back out the door without any issues. The convenience and walkability were definitely the biggest perks. That said, my colleague has told me some horror stories about the parking situation here, plus the higher prices and people loitering outside. Luckily, we walked over so we avoided the parking chaos entirely. Based on my experience alone, it was fine -- but it seems like timing and how you get here might make a big difference.

Parking: You have to drive down into an underground parking lot. That's cool, but you had to spend a $10 minimum to get free parking. Bet-let me get my little list together and head in. Shopping Experience-the store is nicely organized and the staff is friendly. I easily found everything that I needed to get. Upon exiting the store, I asked about how to get out of the parking area without having to pay. I was told that I would need to use the barcode on the receipt to scan out of the parking garage (remember this later in my review). Parking: I made an error and followed someone exiting the parking area and they ended up going further into the parking garage instead of going up. That was my mistake. I was in an area with taped paper arrows. It honestly looked like the area that Michael Jackson danced in within the Bad video. You know the video-they were dancing/fighting. I knew I had to get out of that parking garage or I might've seen Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Exiting the parking garage was its own thing. The exit bar is on a 45 degree incline. Hope you aren't driving a manual. I scanned the barcode on the receipt-that did not work. FYI-there is a separate receipt attachment with a barcode that needs to be scanned-not the receipt itself. Oh Safeway-what an adventure this location is.

I gave Streets Market a try and it was hanging with the herbs in the produce section. My lemongrass chicken has now become one of my favorite meals to make. My dinner party guests a while ago loved it. Besides being a surprising place to find lemongrass, Streets is well stocked and convenient for almost anything in your kitchen. Your cooking, baking, snacking, and partying needs can all be met here. On the side, the prepared food section even looks good. The alcohol section in the back is quite expansive. Sometimes I like to peak in to see what flavors of Eastcider or canned cocktails they have. It's usually a little different from other stores. The Asian foods section is robust, with a very wide selection of instant noodles and Buldak ramen! Even though items can be a few dollars more here, it's worth giving it a try if you need something that you cannot get to a large grocery store for. Plus, Streets is well spread out through the city. Some are a little bit different than others, like the 14th St. location has a coffee shop and a section for food cooked to order.
