If you've been in one Trader Joe's in your lifetime, you know the layout is pretty much the same…read more However, this is one of the largest of the few in the area I was in, which was on Wisconsin Ave. What sets this apart from where I live in Maryland is the fact that in Maryland you cannot buy wine in grocery stores or places such as Trader Joe's and on top of that the wine/liquor prices in Maryland are outrageous. Therefore, for that moment I felt like I was in heaven when I stopped in and saw the wine selections, my heart was happy, I felt like I was back home in Seattle, WA, and for those of you who have never been to Washington State, one thing you need to know is this, you can buy beer, wine and liquor very late at any grocery store, 7-11, gas stations and/mom & pop stores in and outiside of the city and that's why I was so happy to see Trader Joe's in DC had the option to shop for both groceries libations (wine). The staff members are always happy to help you find items, and customer service is always great, in my opinion. I love me some Trader Joe's, even if I'm not able to purchase wine at my local Trader Joe's, or not is still my favorite place to shop for my groceries since I eat the same thing I already know how much I'm going to spend on griceries. and I will take the drive. However, now I will make the drive to DC to do both when I can. After all, I'm a road warrior. Again, this is just my opinion and experiences. Love U!

This Trader Joe's is the best in DC. It's pretty big relative to other locations in DC and has a…read morelot of products! I regularly go to the Glover Park location so am quite familiar with the layout, but I must say this location is spacious and even when it's busy, it's rarely overwhelming. Also the staff here are what makes this location so great! They are always so friendly, fast, and efficient! I have been to other locations where there was a lack of friendliness and efficiency, and these qualities really make the difference. Trader Joe's also still manages to have reasonable prices in DC which I appreciate. Lastly, they have free parking which is always a bonus.

Once Covid hit in 2020, we locked ourselves in our apartment (in March) and did not leave until…read moreSeptember. In that time we had everything delivered and we lived like hermits. Probably a similar story for many others. Once we started to venture out we made small trips and avoided any large stores. Because of my food allergies (gluten being a big one but not the only) we live on a restricted diet and focus on organic and local food where possible. Until the pandemic we preferred Yes! Market on Columbia road. Well street market had opened almost across the street but we had not ventured there because of our cloistered lives. Since we started venturing out we have gone to this store and found it quite good. It has plenty of organic and wholesome options and in many cases has a wider verity compared with the smaller Yes! I am finding that they compliment each other in that there are items I prefer from one store or the other. I am glad to have Street Market in the neighborhood as a great compliment to Yes and a way better alternative to Safeway up the street or the crowded whole foods on p street. If you are in admo or kalarama I recommend this as a great option.

This grocery store is like a mini organic market. They pretty much have all of the essentials,…read morehowever they don't have a deli or extensive meat section. However the entire back row is filled with beer and wine. I only needed to get a couple of things for the apartment. I got a 25oz bottle of Pellegrino mineral water, a box of Cheerios cereal, and a bushell of Dole bananas. There was only a single cashier working, and the line was a little long, but it moved along eventually. The store is clean and cramped full of items. I would characterize it more like a drug store than anything, and I'm glad that it's here.
