Great selection and friendly staff. Found what I wanted and had a great visit. Definitely stopping here then next time I'm in town.

Sean and his Staff are always helpful and generous. If you can happen to be there on Thursday or Friday evenings, they have tastings with distributors. The store is cleaned and organized neatly. The original Korean 소주 (soju) is nearly impossible to find in DC with the liquor laws and I am not talking about this flavored soju. The original Chamisul or if that is not available the Chum Churum will do. read more

Great local liquor store. Has a ton of options if you're in need of any sort of alcoholic beverages. Good customer service. Their wide selection in wine is my favorite. Always find a new one that tastes great. They keep the nicer and more expensive liquor behind the counter. Prices are really reasonable s d they have small bottles of most things in you need it. Never too busy. You can get a lottery ticket if you want there as well read more

Read the rest of the reviews and you'll know how this place is. Great prices, friendly staff, wide selection and family owned. Impressive breadth, this place seriously is a hidden gem in the city. Take a look if you're in town! read more

This store has a wide selection of liquor and much more for a great price. Everyone in the store was super easy to talk to and answered all my questions. read more

Selection and prices were great. I spoke with one of the managers there and they were able to provide me helpful information on my purchase

This place is the shit. They have a huge selection of stuff, all priced fairly. I was impressed by their high end bourbon selection. Also, it's next to Supra! read more

District Liquor is a treasure in this neighbor hood .. Sean is a gentlemen with time for everyone.. His prices are second to none and he is always willing to order a special product in , if you require it. I'm happy to say we have introduced many of our neighbors but also friends outside the district to his business and they couldn't be happier.. Sean and District Liquor are a great addition to our Logan Circle neighborhood and I can't recommend it higher.. Would if I could! read more

A gem of a store. The owner Sean, makes It his mission to know all of his customers. Really feels like the Cheers vibe where everyone knows your name. The rest of the staff are great too. Wide selection of whatever drink you're looking for. Staff is very knowledgeable. Bonus they also offer tastings on some days. read more

I absolutely love this place. As a bourbon connoisseur, I love the variety and prices they have. Even those hard to find liquors they seem to have most times. Shawn is a super nice guy and very accommodating. I come all the way from VA to see their great variety of liquors (not a big fan of the DC liquor tax of 10.25% but it is what it is). read more

Great neighborhood liquor store with amazing prices. Seems to be family-run. I have been to several liquor stores all over the DC area and these guys have the best prices on all kinds of liquor. They also have a decent selection of wine and beer. I would highly recommend you check this place out if you're looking for liquor and you're in the area. read more

This well may be the shadiest liquor store in the city. But the booze is insanely cheap, thus, I love it. Granted, I would never go alone because of said shadiness, but they're always running great deals, like Heinny kegorator kegs for less than $20. My brother-non-in-law might kill me for writing this, putting biz out about these deals and all, but never mind that. Save yourselves some dough! And don't forget to thank and tip the drunk homeless guy who opened the door for you! read more

I've lived around this liquor store for over two years, but the shadiness of the building's exterior prevented me from going inside until this past weekend. But I completely regret not visiting sooner because they have a great selection with really friendly, passionate staff. The interior is actually nicer than many liquor stores in the area, and they have a respectable wine and beer section, as well as off-the-wall liqueurs and mixers, in addition to standbys. We came looking for spiced rum that was not Captain Morgan, and one member of the staff enthusiastically brought out a bunch of bottles for us to see. It was obvious that he knew a lot about his products, and he was simply an easygoing guy that made us feel welcome in the liquor store, very unlike many of the staff in similar establishments. There were all manner of clientele when we were there, and you could tell that there was a drink and a pricepoint for everyone. Great store for all your drinking needs, from big name cans of beer to craft rye whiskeys older than you are. Will definitely be frequenting. read more

I used Yelp to help find me a decent liquor store close to my office. A dinner party was on the horizon, and I needed to bring some form of alcohol, sans beer. The selection of adult beverages was fairly ample for a small store in the heart of DC. Prices were okay. I was in and out pretty quick, which mattered most to me. read more

Just came home from here. Was looking at the sparking wine selection and the guy stocking the shelves was coming in from the back with the cart. I saw him coming so I moved out of his way before he even got to me. He said "pardon me" when he got to me and I politely responded "No worries, you're fine." (because dude is just doing his job and there isn't room for him to go anywhere else, so no big deal) and he sneered back "I'm not the problem." I get having a bad day, but what the actual eff, man? I'm the problem for shopping in the place that you're working? I really love the owners and guys who work behind the counter here, which is the ONLY reason I'm not giving this place no stars over this. I'll go to Modern Liquor even though it's a slightly further walk and slightly pricier. They're also great, and I can't imagine being treated like this there by any of the staff. read more

Pretty good little store for the area. Being so close to Convention Ctr and Dowtown, the area has a lot of fancier stores offering more exotic hard to find iquors and beer. But with that also comes higher pricing. If you want just a simple, easy to find beer, for a great price, this is your store. Customer service pretty good. Inventory average. I'll absolutely return. read more

Great prices hands down! Also, a surprisingly large selection of wine for those who enjoy vino. There's sometimes an interesting clientele (same with those around the area of the storefront), but it's harmless. I always prefer going here over area stores given the prices and proximity to my apartment. read more

I was searching for a specific brand of sake and the other stores that listed it online really didn't have it. Called District Liquors and Shawn was very friendly and polite over the phone. He had the same I wanted in stock! I didn't tell him I was coming but he held it at the register just in case I came. I.m purchased more liquor because of the service he provided as well as the reasonable prices for the tequila I wanted. I will definitely be returning to visit Shawn. read more

Love this place. Great prices, good selection of wine.

I live very close and this store had the best prices in a several block radius. I buy all my beer and liquor here.

This is my favorite liquor store in DC. They have a surprising variety of nice wines too, and their prices are fair across the board. Everyone who works here is great. I would go out of my way to shop here versus a lot of other wine and liquor shops in the area. read more

This my favorite liquor store! It's not fancy, but they have the BEST prices in the DMV area. I live in NoVA and it's worth the trip. Whenever I host a party this is my one-stop-shopping for liquor and wine. Friendly, helpful staff. When I have a large purchase, the staff will load the liquor in my car. They have a small parking lot, maybe 5-6 spaces, but I haven't had a problem getting a parking space. Sometimes they have wine or liquor promotions and will offer free samples. I highly recommend them. read more

Surprising breadth of selection and friendly, eclectic characters on both sides of the plexiglass. Beer, in particular, is a good bet. But, for my money, the $16.99 New Amsterdam 1.75l is hard to beat. read more
