My girlfriends and I went in for a snack and so, we bought 4 different premade salads and some sparkling coconut water. There was seating outside of the store and the Trader Joe's associate hooked us up with some wooden cutlery. We sat there like, did we just pay $7 each for this awesome meal? Omg, we were so happy. And I have to say, that coconut sparkling water was so good. I went in to Starbucks close by and got ice cups which made the drink even better. That's def a Trader Joe's must-have going forward. I forgot to add that also bought a box of gluten free cookies for dessert. It may have added a dollar to each of our portions. I was just passing by the Trader Joe's in Redondo Beach, planning to grab a quick snack, but out of the blue, I ended up doing my entire grocery run. The store is bigger and more spacious than my local Trader Joe's, and the aisles were noticeably wider. The staff was also really nice, and I found a bunch of snacks I never see at my usual store. I'm really happy with it, and I'll absolutely be coming back. Fruits are fresh as always and selection of flowers are nice. Parking was big and easy to access. I recently called this location to check on the availability of an item, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The employee who answered the phone in the morning came across as rude and unhelpful. Instead of assisting with my question or offering to check on the item, their tone felt dismissive and uninterested. I've generally had positive experiences shopping in-store, which made this interaction stand out even more. Customer service--whether in person or over the phone--plays a big role in the overall experience, and this call did not reflect the friendly and helpful reputation I usually associate with Trader Joe's. I think this may be one of the smallest Trader Joe's in the area. It has a shared parking lot with other businesses in the shopping area which includes a Starbucks. Good luck finding a spot. Large metered public parking lot across the street for all businesses in Riviera Village. Meters take coins or credit cards and the minimum time is 1 hour. $1.50/ hr 5/26/24. Ahem. Trader Joe's in Redondo Beach is located inside a very small plaza that has a small parking lot to park in. I felt like this entire parking lot looked overcrowded at the time I went and it wasn't even on a weekend. The inside of this Trader Joe's is what you would see typically and overall I did find a few goodies to enjoy. I bought some tasty snacks and also some drinks for the road. The place is stocked well and overall I'm sure you'll be able to find your grocery items to cook up a nice dinner! read more

I have been going to this Trader Joe's for 20 years and I've always had a good experience. Within the last couple of months though, I have purchased many items that have gone bad within a day or two, far within the expiration dates. Half-and-half, 2% milk, two different types of loaves of bread and the Balela salad, multiples of each. I carefully look at my items before purchasing to make sure there's no mold or some other defect. They are good with returns and exchanges if you take the product in. But I can't always go back the next day to return something. They aren't very sympathetic. I have talked to several people all of whom claim they are the manager. One man told me "we are all managers". One woman told me to buy it again "three time's a charm". I don't know if this occurs at other locations, if it's a warehouse refrigeration situation, a managerial issue etc. But I have lost so much money and I'm not willing to try again. I will go back for items that are frozen, and the eggs are very good. The staff is always friendly and polite. Parking is an issue, but the problem with spoiled food is very disconcerting. read more

Siri guided to the nearest location from Del Amo and Redondo Beach was the nearest. What a cute little location so close to the beach. It's in a really tiny strip mall with limited parking, with other municipal/street parking surrounding the Trader's. One item I was on the hunt for was Crispy Crunchy Mochi Rice Nuggets, I asked a sales clerk where are they? He couldn't find it on the floor, so he checked his computer system and found out in about 7 days, they should arrive. Shucks I told him that their LAX location is closest to the hotel, which he responded it's a company wide shortage, and he thinks there's a back log in production. Finally, amidst the pandemic, I was able to shop at Trader Joe's. I was actually able to just walk in. There was no line for the first time in over a month. I couldn't believe it. And when I walked inside, I was surprised to see there weren't that many people shopping, with only a few people in line. I immediately went for my favorite ice cream here, the chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches, along with a bag of caramel popcorn, a bag of cheddar cheese popcorn, a bag of raw almonds, a bag of grapefruit, and the usual bottles of alcohol. I recommend during the pandemic that the staff reduce the chit chat. Parking: They have their own small, shared parking lot that is free, along with plenty of metered parking. read more

This Trader Joe's on the inside is absolutely amazing. The staff is great and it's pretty well marked on the inside. The outside on the other hand, is not that great. The parking is terrible. The lot is extremely tight and always full. Because of that, I would recommend going to a different Trade Joe's because of the parking. read more

I shop there often especially since the Pandemic as I shopped at other supermarkets and have been very disappointed. Trader Joe's sanitizer everything and they are so organized . There employee's always have a smile on their faces and with all the extra prepping and rules for safety and cleanliness they still smile and make you feel at home. I feel safe and know they care for my business as they show that by cleaning all the carts outside having greeters and insuring the customers are safe. I have always been impressed with how Trader Joes hires authentically helpful, cordial professional employees but I have to say recently Connie at the Redondo Beach location just really went above the call of duty several times. You can tell that she enjoys treating people equally either they are from the village or not she gives off that neighborly support. It can be so easy to feel like your just a number in a line up but she made me feel like I had been living in this neighborhood for years. That kind of energy is so refreshing. I read reviews about "horrible parking" and if one relied on the adjacent parking lot I can see the point. But it is across the street from a huge meter parking lot that is never full. Ummm this is by far the best Trader Joe's I have ever been in. I have two locations closer to me than this one and I hate one (RHills plaza) and tolerate the other (Hawthorne @ 190th). What I loved about this location was the size. It was still your small cozy TJ's but their set up was perfect! Their aisles are so spacious! TJ carts are small but at the other locations the aisles are so narrow i find myself giving the stink eye every time someone would grab a cart instead of the hand baskets. But not at this one. Wide open spaces! Love it! Yes parking does suck if you are lazy and insist on parking in the free main but ever so small and a pain to get in and out of parking lot. One quarter a few more feet away gives you 30 minutes. And if Jesus man is around he will take your cart back for you so you won't have to walk back to return it. read more

I love Trader Joes! Especially this location as I've been coming here as my number one spot for groceries over the years that I've lived in the area. I like that TJ's is smaller and has the feel of a neighborhood grocer since you get to know some of the workers because they seem to stay working for a number of years. It's good that this place expanded a few years ago too because it was getting kind of crazy with the number of people shopping here. The tight parking lot can get a bit harried as you feel like you're going to get hit as you drive around looking for a free spot but they do have the larger metered parking area as well.
