Thank you Trader Joe's for helping round out the breakfast for some staff!
    Sarah H.

I Trader Joe's for many reasons including spinach salad with the carrot ginger dressing, Skinless salmon fillets, truffle potato chips, guava fruit spread, and their assortment of orange wines. I love that the employees at this (and every TJoes) are friendly and fun! The lines go fast. Always find something fun!

This Trader Joe's is located in a shopping center with ample parking spaces. The store is relatively small, and they ran out of stock a few items I was hoping to get. But the staff working here are super friendly just as most other stores, super helpful to verify the restocking dates.

Everyone that works here is so nice! They always have great conversation skills when paying at register and their items are neatly stocked. I have been to other Trader Joe's and I can say hands down, the workers here care about their store.

Review #853 2025-025 I remembered my first Trader Joe's visit in S. Pasadena near the tennis pro shop that I worked at. I loved their inexpensive 3-cheese pita sandwich for lunch & dinner. Since moving to the South Bay, Trader Joe's is my go-to for grocery needs. But I sometimes dread going to TJ's & tasting the daily sample, falling in love with some, only to have it pulled from the shelves later, & I'm left heart-broken because I can't find it elsewhere. My current loves: Kerrygold Irish Cheddar with Chili Peppers (great for burgers & hot dogs, extra kick in mac & cheese, or potato skin topping), Soft Juicy Mandarins (this dried fruit snack is so addicting; I call it fruit crack!!), Ghost Pepper Potato Chips (it's not that spicy in comparison to an actual ghost pepper), Chicken Chili Verde Burrito, Blood Orange Mochi (love blood orange desserts!), Organic Toasted Sesame Dressing (love the savoriness), Kringle (my fav flavor is Pumpkin Caramel). I didn't realize there was another Torrance location (refer to Review #25) that's slightly closer, but I feel that Pacific Coast Hwy. market's selection is smaller than this one? Like all the TJ's I've visited, the entrance is stocked outside with fresh flowers & plants with seasonal fruits, & rows of cut flowers, orchids, etc. upon entry to the market. And the staff are friendly, welcoming, & helpful! My husband gave me a mini roses pot (because I prefer potted flowers than a beautiful arrangement of cut flowers from the florist) 15+ years ago from San Jose, & it's no longer mini but a thriving large rose bush. I usually try their daily sample at every visit because it gives me meal ideas for my family. Most recently their roasted pepper soup with basil pesto sauce (my l'il one loves it, even with the strong roasted peppers & basil flavors... who woulda thunk it?). My l'il one couldn't remember Trader Joe's name when she was a toddler (now 15 YO), & asked if we can go to the "sticker store" because they offer stickers to the kids (I'm sure they rather be known as a market LOL). This location is preferred when I have other shopping errands in the Torrance Promenade or dining.

The Service: Friendly service The Flowers: Their flower selections are wide varieties. They are fresh and good price! Definitely my go to place. The Parking: Plaza parking lot

    South B.

So far I have no complaints as of yet at this location. I don't come here often, but they don't give me any problems. They had tons of Fall / Harvest pumpkins to choose from. Their goods are all reasonably priced compared to other retail stores.

Somewhere in between the Korean Friendship Bell and Korea Town in Los Angeles, but not exactly right next to either. My goal was to go check out Erewhon and all the smoothies and artisanal popcorn that celebrities and food influencers rave about online, but the Torrance H-Mart was an interesting destination in itself. I had to really restrain myself from buying everything that I wanted. I ultimately bought: 1. The Hojicha Tea Black Chocolate from Japan (the brand is Meiji) 2. The Green KitKats (Extra Matcha Tea Chocolate from Japan). 3. The Hanyul Hand Cream (I bought three - Chrysanthemum, Artemisia, and Ja Cho). They smell amazing and keep my hands moisturized. Southern California is so dry compared to Northern California. Ja Cho is Lithospermum Erythrorhizon root extract. 4. The Innisfree Green Tea face mask. 5. The Esfolio Volcanic Ash face mask. It's perfect for dry skin, and creates a healty glow. I asked the lady working there if the Volcanic Ash was from Jeju Island. She had no idea. I bought it anyway because it sounded interesting. 6. The Innisfree Volcanic Clay Mask. I know for a fact that this clay is sourced from Jeju Island, and I've been buying this product for years. Cleans up the sporadic acne flare up fast! It's perfect for combination skin without drying skin too much. They have vegan jerky, Sriracha mayo, and Kimchee Ketchup. I can buy that at any H-Mart, I think, so I didn't buy any of that. I wanted to explore so much more, but so much to do and so little time.

You go in for what you know, and that already gets you caught up, but then you also want to try something new because there's always something new to try. Sometimes it's a gamble, sometimes it's amazing and you're like "OMG! I need this every time," and sometimes you're like "what was that?" And you really don't know what it was because the descriptions aren't in English. The staff is always super friendly. If you go for hot food during lunchtime, you will get caught up because you'll want to pile your plate high and forget they weigh it & you can easily end up with a $24 plate on top of all your groceries. They have great sweet treats that aren't super high in sugar, which is a plus. Their ramens are my favorite. I've probably tried every one. My favorite is the one with the black pieces in it (I think they're mushrooms). I still haven't tried the mushrooms, but the creamy broth mix is everything. Their sparkling sodas are always delicious. My favorite is the Hello Kitty strawberry one. I told all my friends about it, and me and my sister go regularly. My sister loves the banana milk! Definitely recommend!

They have a lot of premade food options. Some are decently priced and some are on the pricier side…read more If you go at 7pm or latter they do mark down the sushi and other premade food by 20% off. The thing that's good about going to Tokyo central for premade sushi is that they make all their sushi fresh daily and what's not sold is marked down and got rid of before next day compared to other markets where they sell their sushi that's like 2-4 days old. They went viral for awhile for having a hot food bar, which looked like a buffet but in reality you grab what you want but it's $15.99 a pound. The pound adds up really quick and you end with paying like $30. The food isn't that great in the hot food bar in my option so I'd skip it. The market itself is very pricey it's not a cheap market. So if your planning on buying grocery your gonna pay high prices. I'd go here for a quick sushi roll or some mochi they sell a bag from Japan for $3.99 with red bean that's pretty good. One of my favorite food item is the umami chicken karage with rice that's pre packaged and if you can snag it while it's still hot that great. Its usually on a separate table on in the refrigerated section, It's the one with some teriyaki sauce over it, not the regular one. As you exit you can grab utensils, napkins, wasabi. ginger, soy sauce. Parking is a hit and miss, it's a popular market if you go there at lunch time it's packed or weekends. Personally I drop by to get a quick bite, sushi roll or chicken karage . They do have a food court that has a Japanese bakery, takoyaki , a katsu place. Upstairs they have a sushi bar which is unique I havnt tried it but seems a bit pricey but looks like quality. Looking for something Japanese in food wise, this would be one of the places to go to look for it. I don't know why it seems like every Asian market I've been to is so cramped and hardly any space when trying to get around with a cart. It's the same here.t

I said I didn't want the in peace and wanted the more juicier piece from the center. Ask for the manager and the manager didn't want to do it either. So we decided to skip lunch altogether at this place. No one might think well that's their policy. The deli's friendly where you can get sliced meats but the meat department they always seem to be unfriendly, this smoke shop they definitely don't have customer service in mind.
