This is a great Ralphs. My daughter bought me the most lovely flowers that are still fresh and happy. They are just beautiful. The place is ever so clean and very well stocks. They have a great selection of more out of the Country foods. We love their produce section. They have a good selection of organic as well as other produce. They also have a great frig section where I can get my garlic mashed potatoes ready to heat up. The bakery is not the best but fine. The deli is very good with a fine selection. The service is great. If there is an issue with an item they will take it back (need your receipt). They keep the carts out of the parking lot and easy to get to. The staff knows where everything is. They also have a great canned section and some cute dog toys. read more

This is a grocery store I frequently shop at when I'm in the area. It has a large parking lot, extensive produce section, spacious aisles, a small but adequate meat and seafood counter. There is a deli area with great fried chicken. Service is sometimes hard to get since they are often very busy. Ambiance is stress free, area clean and well stocked. One of the better Ralph's in the South Bay of Los Angeles. read more

I will not be coming back to this Ralph's for a long while, or at all. I've been coming to this Ralphs for years. Most of the staff knows me and are very friendly like family. I come here once a week to shop for myself and my elderly parents. I usually am rushed a do not have much time as my parents are alone at home. Last week Sunday, I noticed that they had installed some new security system on each entry and exit door at first it is not noticeable except that the lotto machines are enclosed now and hard to get to. I didn't think much of it at first. As I started shopping, I kept hearing the alarms go off very loudly throughout the store. It was annoying and hard to shop and concentrate on what I was getting, etc. The peaceful Store I knew was no longer peaceful. I finally made it to the cash register with my groceries. I usually spend over $ 300-400 here. As I started to reach the exit doors, I realized I couldn't play my lotto that I get for my parents the machine was closed off by metal bars. I was told to go around and enter again with my cart so I did .. I got my lotto ticket and proceeded to go back out where I came through because again the doors are enclosed so I couldn't go through the exit door because I couldnt it is blocked off the alarms went off and was told to make a U-turn and go through the store and out the exit door. I was approached by the manager that is always very unfriendly and seems to hate his job because he walks around like a zombie with no emotion and no expression and never greets anyone in the store that I've noticed throughout the years Ive gone there ... I was followed by him, but he never said a word to me. I then said to him what is the best way to get out of here he said through the self checkout, but I noticed the self checkout was packed with people in line. He then asked me what aisle did I purchase my items through and I said aisle nine I found an aisle that was empty and went through there to get to the exit door as I went through the exit door my cart wheels locked. I was treated like a thief and felt so embarrassed and betrayed by the Store that knows me for years and years . I was approached by one of the workers that used his remote to unlock my wheels. I'm sure the Manager locked my wheels as he didn't believe that I had paid for my items. I will not be coming back here. I felt that I was treated unfairly like a thief after so many years of coming to the store . I will take my Business else where . Terrible experience! I had a bad experience when the check out system doesn't recognize a coupon that was posted by the noodles I wanted. I asked the cashier for help, but she ended up making me feel like I'm demanding her to adjust the price. I meant to ask if I'm wrong or not about the price only. When I scanned the barcode by the item with the Ralph's app, the item that I wanted showed up! This worker needs to get fired ! She didn't care to help and made me feel that I was at fault. Ralph's is at the bottom of my list of grocery stores because it is so expensive (although they have good deals/sale prices often); however, if I need something that I cannot find at another grocery store, I will come here and always find it. This particular location is in a congested area and parking is tight (I like to park further away to avoid door dings and ease of getting in and out of the parking lot). Just walked in and the old elderly senior decrepit man working customer service was extremely dismissive and rude. One of the worst exchanges I've had with somebody so elderly. Went here in the morning to get some last minute digital weekly Ralphs club deals that were set to expire Today. Walked through the door and noticed how unfriendly most of the staff was. All they did was stare and side eye me. No "good morning." No smiles. Nothing!!!! When I got to frozen food section, I asked one of the workers about frozen dinners. She gave me aisle number. Well, she was helpful. Nothing bad to say about her. The store had everything in stock that I wanted. Plus they were restocking. So it was a good day to go for fresh new stock as well. Went to check out. I was greeted by Norma J (cashier name on receipt). She was friendly. Held small talk with me. Wished me a good day. Great experience. She must love her job. I placed an on line order for pick up. I got the notification that my order was being shopped; there was a notification that my order had a substitution. The shopper called me to confirm my substitution based on my notes. I absolutely appreciated that and it was a better sub than I had chosen. My scheduled time for pick up was later in the evening; I got a call from Mallory she asked if I could come early since that area was closing a little early. I really appreciated the call versus es me getting there and could not get my order. When I got there I could access my order to check in; I called her back and she was very pleasant, manually checked me in. She brought out my order, asked if I had any coupons and put my groceries in my trunk. I am so happy to how my online order experience went considering how it could have been if I was not notified. I will continue to order my groceries for pick up when I don't feel like going into the store. read more

This review is solely for the pharmacy inside this Ralph's. I inquired about the covid vaccine for mother at this Ralph's on 3455 Sepulveda Blvd; Torrance. The lady in front of me was canceling her afternoon appointment and graciously offered it for my mom. When she told the laboratory technician she was canceling; she asked the tech if it could be given to my mom instead. The technician said no. We asked if we could go on the website right at the moment she canceled and sign up for the open slot. Technician said no and said next appointment sign ups could only happen on Monday! Basically the canceled Covid vaccine appointment for the lady was not going to go anywhere. What a waste & totally inconsiderate of the technician considering so many people need this vaccine! read more

When they ran out of the 2 cartons of 6 oz berries, he subbed in 12 oz at the sale price. He did this on a few items. They were sold out of one item and curbside, he checked to see when it would be restocked so I could reorder. He was kind and genuinely wanted my shopping/pickup experience to be good. Now Ralphs expects you to do Self checkout since they only have one check stand open. Good luck if you want to buy spirits as you'll be required to wait in the line with folks with huge orders and then you have to wait for someone to get the key to open the locked shelves and go over a point to what you want to purchase. Purchased a gift card for a Christmas gift and it was drained before Christmas. I know Ralph's won't be able to do anything. But you would expect them to pull all the cards since they clearly been compromised. They could also inact a new system and not.have the cards out for people to continue to steal and scam people. I did call Ralph's and they gave me an 800# to call and those people were useless. They told me to call the merchant but I am 100% sure I'm just SOL. It's amazing to me how much Mark in the self checkout has impacted my grocery shopping at Ralph's. I have been shopping at Ralph's since before it was Ralph's when it was called Alpha Beta. I remember riding my bicycle to Ralph's and buying candy bars for .07 cents yet this guy wants to call me "young man". I have asked him many times to leave me alone, if I see him in the self checkout I will go to regular checkout. My last time there I told the guy in self checkout, "thank you, so nice to see you here and Not the guy that makes all these ridiculous statements ". He says, "I know". Mark says these things over and over to all the people in self checkout, "You're doing a great job", "keep up the great work", "Young Man", "Much Love". Really, Much Love, now I am a major Bob Marley fan but I thought I was grocery shopping not at a reggae concert. As so many of the employees are aware of all this non sense it's obvious that management does too and it's baffling how Mark's nonsense continues. And if you want to see the real person behind this facade then catch him walking around the parking lot walking with his head down and hands clasped behind his back looking ever so dejected and such a fine representation of Ralph's. By the way, I only moved into this area last year so it's not this particular location I've been shopping at so long. I now use Von's and Spouts a lot although I occasionally will drop by Ralph's and when I do I just hope he's not there. read more

Poor customer service. The posted sticker price did not match the check out price. I used the self check out to purchase, then had to stand in the cashier line (only one open) to return. When the cashier scanned the item, the return price was $1.50 less than the receipt price. I ended up keeping the item which was $4 more than the posted price. :( Don't feel like shopping here anymore. read more

Incompetent checker wouldnt scan my items for an instacart order. I told me over and over and she wouldnt listen. Then the manager comes over and takes her side. He takes the items and moves them onto another place. Aside from the customer not getting her order, I would have made about $10 on the delivery. After that I gave up working for Instacart due to the low pay and tiring work. The stores give you little assistance filling orders. read more

This Ralph's is my go to grocery. I give it 2 stars not for it's groceries.... My main grocery shopping is actually from here due to its proximity to where I live, apart from specialty needs from Trader Joe's and ethnic groceries. Nevertheless, this specific location at Sepulveda disappoints greatly not from its grocery selections but from the rather disgustingly filthy and smelly restrooms. They are NEVER well managed. The floor is always wet, tissue paper scattered on the floor, and never has it ever smelled halfway decent. It seems that the management has no regard to cleanliness and hygiene given that this is a grocery and a place you would expect it's restrooms to be clean. For goodness sake- CLEAN YOUR RESTROOMS REGULARLY!!!! I have visited many other Ralph's and they seem to have their act together. Check out the Ralph's at Palos Verdes for instance. And don't tell me because it's Palos Verdes. It's because the manager there cares! I will spare the photos as I don't want to disgust people reading this any further. read more

As nice grocery stores go, this one fits the bill. The aisles are narrower than most but not cramped. Lots of fresh produce, baked goods and meats. It's a popular location but hardly ever feels too crowded. Shelves are stacked and neat. Floors are clean and shiny. Check outs are quick and painless. Staff is friendly and helpful. Torrance Food Crawl #161 At this Ralphs there are a lot of ready to eat to-go items if you want a fast meal. Like other Ralphs there is also a deli counter that makes sandwiches and my comments are restricted to that. I initially asked for Ciabatta bread on my sandwich and found out that the menu board is reproduced from one at another location and that they don't have the Pane Rolls or Ciabatta. After selecting a multi-grain roll I just specified everything else I wanted, ham and provolone cheese, and other vegetable fixings. The sandwich was good, not exceptional but perfectly acceptable. read more

I had a bit of a weird experience visiting this Ralph's location. So, first off the fellow who I dealt with (middle aged man, name tag said he likes Vegas) was pretty friendly. So, that saves them from receiving too bad a review. What brought me here was to cash in some change, using the store's coin counter. This machine is open for the public and has a limit of 1,000 dollars per transaction. I ended up needing 2 separate transactions because I brought in quite a lot of change. The entire time I am counting, one of the grocers (African American woman, 30s) is watching over my shoulder and asked me no fewer than 3 times about how much money I had. I thought this was a little bit invasive, because, respectfully, how much money I have is none of anybody's business. Next, I went to cash in. The fellow I mentioned earlier, as well as a blonde, middle aged grocer, looked at my slips of paper and conferred as though they were not used to the amount of money I had brought in. The woman made a comment to the man, which rubbed me the wrong way, saying something to the effect of "he should ask permission before coming in with all of that money". Lol, what? "Money talks, bs walks". Put up a sign that says you only want low rollers if you are going to be prejudiced toward folks with a lot of change. This is where the story gets really telling. The guy then told me that he only can give me about a third of the money now and that I would have to come back later for the rest. I figured he wouldn't try to rip me off, and I didn't feel like arguing with him, so I said Ok, left, and came back 5 hours later, where I was paid the rest of the money (which also saves this from being a terrible review). Now, after thinking this whole thing over, why does this machine, open to the public accept a certain amount of money that the grocers won't honor? It essentially discriminates against consecutive customers who use the machine in a row to its max. Also, I find it hard to believe that a grocery store as big and bustling as Ralph's does not have some kind of supply in the back office or something, otherwise how can they justify keeping a machine like that in their store? I question whether the grocers could have done more during my initial visit (such as accessing a safe in the back) to save me the trouble of coming back. Otherwise, if they really do not have enough money to support customers change, then they should probably just get rid of the machine. read more

This review is for the floral department. I came in search of flowers for my wedding and worked with the floral manager, Sherrie. From the get go, I was so impressed with the customer service and level of detail. To be honest, Ralph's was the last on my mind when deciding where to get my bridal bouquet and husband's boutineer. I went to get quotes from floral stores, which did not work within our budget for a simple bouquet and boutineer (Covid wedding, so we had a small budget in mind for both flowers). Sherri's pricing and customer service had no comparison to the other larger floral stores I was looking at. Sherrie was very responsive and knew exactly what I wanted from the photos I shared with her. She quoted our floral arrangements on the spot based on the photos, and it was less than half the price of other competitors. The level of communication was unsurpassed and she continued to keep in touch with me. Compared to some other local floral stores who did not even get back to me or were rather rude when I shared our budget. Sherrie worked with us on budget and also threw in some special "extras" for the bouquet - a lace wrap and some pearls arranged elegantly in my bouquet. Even leading up to the wedding, she updated me with new flowers she received and added some of those into my bouquet because I just loved them! When it came time to pick up the bouquet, she also provided us with a mason jar to store my bouquet. You could tell she takes pride in her work and the level of care she has for her customers. Sherrie also walked us through how to keep the flowers from wilting overnight as we picked up the flowers the day before our wedding. It was very nice of her to show us how to keep them alive. Going on three weeks and my flowers are still a a beautiful as when I first brought them home :) read more

We ordered a cupcake cake in the shape of the number 9 for our daughters birthday. We placed this order over a week ago. Went to pick them up today it was suppose to be 24 cupcakes. And they took it upon themselves to only make 12. I have more than 12 kids coming to this party. I am told that they don't have any other cupcakes in the back these were special order and to just grab some other cupcakes they have out. I kind of thought I placed a special order for 24 cupcakes for a reason. My daughter is upset .. and I just have to say this is very unacceptable and maybe don't have a bakery if you can't read !!!! So I don't have time this morning to go to another bakery so I guess these crappy cupcakes you have out that are nothing like the ones I ordered will have to do. 12/2/2022 came to this location after work to do some grocery shopping. I'm tired and just want to get my stuff and leave. There were 2 young men waiting by the cashier lines to "pounce" on the customers asking them about their internet service trying to sell you some internet package in the store!!!!!! This is such a bad move on Ralphs to allow this service INSIDE their store while customers are shopping. I understand they're just trying to do their job but at least have them set up their table outside in front of the store.
