I LOVE Aldi!!! The service, prices and ambiance is amazing!! My go to store for all my grocery needs!!!

I went to the store because my order was supposed to be completed today by 3 PM. When I got there, I was told by a lady that the power had gone out. I've been waiting all this time, and no one even bothered to call me to let me know! This is NOT the first time I've had an issue at this location on Redondo Beach. The customer service is horrible, and the app is honestly the worst. Now I have to go somewhere else to get what I need because of this inconvenience. This is by far the worst location to shop at. I will NEVER order from here again. Very disappointed! read more

Came here at 5:30 on a Tuesday. I had never been here before but someone I know suggested it for Halloween decor. The aisle of Halloween had boxes all throughout. The side i came down had boxes but not in the way. So i continued looking when an employee walked over to me and said "the aisle is closed. That's why we have the boxes blocking it." She said it like I was stupid. One end of is was blocked which I didn't see until I was halfway down but the other side wasn't. I didn't take that to mean the aisle was "closed" but rather they had a shipment in and a lot of stocking to do. She seemed pretty annoyed with me and let me know the store opens tomorrow at 9am. I think it's really silly to close an aisle during working hours so they can stock stuff since I was looking to purchase stuff now. When I walked away I heard her and one of the guys who was managing the exit talk about the interaction while laughing. Instead of being irritated she could've handled it better. I don't need to come back. It also smells super weird inside the second you walk in. Like really cheap cleaning products. read more

If you enjoy slowly strolling through a store, you'll enjoy shopping here. I stopped here with no list in mind - I simply wanted to see what there was to see and if the spark was there, so be it. Beautiful produce department, zucchinis as big as my arm and blueberries plump and juicy. Grapes and apples and avocados - hooray! I gave in to some fresh made stuffed ginormous mushrooms - they were tasty, but I admit I kicked them up with some extra Asiago and a special spice mix to complement the stuffing that was already prepared with cheese and artichoke. Lots of cheese and spreads and unique crackers. I'd give Aldi a shot next time I'm pressed to prepare a quick charcuterie and cheese board. Loads of spreads and believe it or not, the housewares aisle had a lovely maple leaf board that could easily be used for your masterpiece. Dairy, frozen, meats, sweets, baking, condiments, bakery items, juices and wine too. Limited national brands, but that's likely why the prices are pretty decent. Grab a quarter to use a cart and get yourself to Aldi and take a look around. You'll find some interesting treats to try and maybe you'll find a new market to browse now and then. read more

I do enjoy this store and I can find some decently priced items, but this store unfortunately isn't one where I can buy all of my groceries from. Great for meat, some frozen foods, milk and eggs. I wish their canned vegetables and fruit aisle was bigger, but if you want to stock up for emergencies, then buying some here would help you. Also come with a quarter, because you need to put one in for the grocery cart. I can understand their reasoning behind it, but I have forgotten when I've come here before. The staff isn't always the most friendly, some even look at you like you are in the way, but that's not my issue, so that's what they need to deal with when it comes to customers. Also whenever I come here, there is usually only one cashier open, it makes me feel like they are trying to push their customers to use the self checkout (which I hate with the fire of a thousand suns), so I patiently wait for the cashier to be done with the other customers. The upside i like to this store, is that I can bag my own groceries, because they have a section you can push your cart to and bag your food to your specifications. Where sometimes at a different grocery store, a bagger won't do the job well and I have smooshed bread or sushi that is messed up. So this is great for me (for you lazy people this would be a downside ). read more

Excellent location! Not too busy and a new store, well spread out and well stocked. The staff is always very friendly and the prices can't be beat. Be sure to sign up their email to receive their weekly specials as well as seasonal items. The food here is always fresh and the qualities is good. For most food things here, Aldi is the cheapest or closest to something like Costco. Some of their items are just re-packaged Trader Joes's and other stores food, but for cheaper. Quality is good, too, and selection varied. They also have unique German items. All the staff I have encountered are nice. I don't like that they limit how many items you can take into the self-checkout especially since they have someone watching you like a hawk. I love the way they handle the carts! read more

What a horrible little store. They're new to the area, so I figured I'd give them a try. First time in an Aldi. Also, my last time. First, let's start with the fact that you can't even grab a shopping cart without going inside the store, and waiting for a cashier to give you change for a dollar. And she had a little bit of an attitude when I asked for change. No big deal, whatever. Maybe she was having a bad day. Although, nothing says "We value our customers" quite like "We don't trust you to return the cart so we're going to inconvenience you unless you brought change with you" The selection in the store was limited, but I found a few things I would try (Brands I never heard of but I'll try something new) At the register, the cashier was SO rude. It was a different cashier than the one who gave me change for a dollar. They just drop your items into your cart. I said I'd like bags. Yeah, I know I have to pay extra for bags (California law) but maybe ASK if I'd like bags, like every other supermarket does? Cashier: "Bags are over there" (pointing to the space underneath the checkout belt) -- Nope, no bags, they were gone. Someone brought some paper bags over. "How many bags?" she asked. I said, "I don't know, let's see how many I need." She continued to drop items in my cart and I was bagging them as fast as I can. Usually at Ralphs or Vons or Albertsons or any other supermarket in the area for that matter, they bag it up and charge you for the bags needed. I don't know how many bags, and they were just dumping the items into the cart. So I started bagging them. Again she asks how many bags, and I said "I don't know yet, however many I wind up needing to take my groceries home" Then the cashier smugly says "No problem, just go ahead and hold up the entire line." I then told her to keep everything and walked out. Rude! I will *never* enter another Aldi store again. PS, I went to Ralphs instead, got everything I needed, and it was a MUCH better experience. read more

I hate giving one star but... I fell down in the store today at 7.25 pm near frozen food section. When I stood up, I realized there was quite a lot of white liquid on the floor. Yes, there was only one warning sign about 3-4 feet away from the spot I fell due to the liquid. I came to talk to the cashier about the incident and she said OK. That's all. My phone died so there is no photo but feel free to watch the store camera on October 28 at 7.25 pm to see how the store handled this incident. Will never come back. Was so glad this opened close to home. While I shop at other markets, I love ALDI for great prices on produce, meat, paper goods, bakery items, etc. It is a breeze to pick up what you're looking for and get out of there in about 15 minutes. I deducted a star bc I'm not a fan of the store generally having only one register open and quite a few self checkout stands. The Gardena store has more cashiers than self checkout stands. read more

My review is simply based on two things. Let's start off , The store.. For one I'd like to get across the 25c system is genius, When you use a cart, insert a quarter into the slot to unlock the chain on the handlebar When you're done shopping return the cart, you get your quarter back . Simple . Easy. Fast. Going to any other grocery outlet the parking lots are so filthy, dirty, solicitors everywhere. Shopping carts everywhere. every car you see has door dings . At aldis I don't have to worry about my car being dinged by runaway carts or carts purposely left in the lot . The system is great , if I forget my quarter the kind employees lend them from their register!!! this is actually something that first started in Germany, seeing something from time ago into today is amazing I I've overheard people get upset over the system I genuinely don't comprehend what's so difficult or inconvenient about returning a cart where you initially retrieved it from, you know that saying " put it back where you got it from " ? It really teaches discipline and you can really tell when someone carries those qualities or not. it's not hard or inconvenient it's routine. I admire how clean the store is inside and out make sure to get there early in the morning for your produce once it's gone it's gone. Talk about fresh and quality. I love me some blueberries and asparagus'. I came in for the grand opening so everytime I go I take my free received reusable bags with me on the go I never waste on more bags or nasty plastic bags , ALDIS ACTUALLY HAS PAPER BAGS INSTEAD ! Moving forward. My second thought and statement would be on the few employees, the store seems so quiet and smooth you will find them up and down working on different task, never have I seen a half worker or a lazy worker. They get it done assuming everything they do is time based . a big thank you to the staff who are always willing to help me onto the electric chair the few faces I get to see on a regular bases , a young cheerful man asking if I need bags A gentleman letting me know when conveniently the products come in and filling me in their polices, helpful people a big thank you to the person who stands out the kind young woman always willing to help out and make my shopping experience pleasant. her kind attitude and smile and a cheerful laugh to go!!! Wide variety of fresh produce items re very well displayed, the service has been very welcoming the atmosphere very clean.

I heard about the new Aldi market in Redondo Beach and decided to check it out. Here's a little history. In the 1960's the original owner's two sons of Aldi split into two independent companies. In the U. S. Trader Joe's is owned by Aldi North and the U. S. Stores of Aldi is owned by Aldi Sud. Trader Joe's is my go to favorite market that I weekly shop so I start prejudiced. Aldi has no free shopping carts. You have to pay 25 cents to get one and when you leave you get your 25 cents back when you tie back the grocery cart. They also do not provide any grocery bags at all nor do they bag your groceries. Call me spoiled but that was a non starter for me. The fresh produce was cheaper but I found no organic ones. The frozen vegetables were cheaper but they were only 10 oz so I don't know if ounce for ounce they were really cheaper than Trader Joe's.. I saw only one organic frozen vegetables choice and it was more expensive but still only 10 ounces. In the end whether you buy from Aldi or Trader Joe's is a personal choice. Trader Joe's has a greater selection of everything I normally buy. I will not be returning to Aldi. read more

Love to shop at aldi but your stockers especially the white middle age women who stocks at night. Yesterday around 7pm 1/11/25 second time I seen her she is just very rude! Learn to smile learn to be polite. All I ever hear out her mouth is excuse me very loudly when she needs to get by and with such an attitude! You need to do better and be a better person you're always so GRUMPY! Even when I said sorry because I was grabbing an item by where you were stocking you just have such a STANK FACE!
