We especially love Harry's Berries and Ken's Farm Goods, but honestly there are so many great booths that it is hard to go wrong. The produce is consistently fresh, seasonal, and flavorful, and the vendors are friendly and knowledgeable. It is the kind of market where you end up discovering new favorites every time you visit. Parking does get crowded pretty quickly, so arriving early definitely helps. That said, the attached park more than makes up for it. It is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for walking around, relaxing, or enjoying your market finds afterward. Overall, this farmers market is a gem and a must visit if you are in the area. We keep coming back and it never disappoints.

Just when I thought these 2 rows covered all the typical farmers market must haves, I was pleasantly surprised to find another row (at a 90 degree angle, which is a second parking lot), with additional items. To me, this was the row that sets this farmers market apart! A unique variety of local small businesses....bao buns, ube desserts, soups, yogurts, butters and so much more. I understand why this farmers market is so crowded each week. This is my new favorite one! Parking is tough, especially when the park is also hosting sporting events.

The first time, I purchased Sprouts brand unsweetened almond milk and Sprouts vanilla almond milk, and both had gone sour before their expiration dates. On a separate visit, I purchased a chocolate almond milk from a different brand, and it was also sour as soon as I opened it. In all cases, I refrigerated the products immediately after getting home, so improper storage on my end was not the issue. The fact that this happened with multiple brands and on different shopping trips makes me believe there may be a refrigeration or temperature-control issue at this location. It's hard to see another explanation when products from different manufacturers are experiencing the same problem. This has resulted in approximately $15-$20 worth of product being wasted, which is frustrating and disappointing. Customers should be able to trust that refrigerated items are being stored properly before purchase. Another ongoing issue is the lack of baggers available at checkout. Cashiers are often expected to scan and bag groceries at the same time, which slows down the checkout process and creates longer lines. Considering the premium prices Sprouts charges, I would expect better staffing and a more efficient checkout experience. I hope management looks into both the refrigeration of refrigerated products and the checkout staffing at this location. These are recurring issues that have negatively affected my shopping experience and make me hesitant to purchase refrigerated items here in the future.

I've been here three times, and each visit has fallen well short of the experience provided by other nearby locations. The staff often seemed disengaged and gave off the impression that they wanted us to hurry up and order. Most recently, I ordered a simple mini Pitaya bowl and a smoothie. After waiting more than 15 minutes and watching several customers who ordered after us receive their food first, I had to ask about the status of my order. We discover our order was just sitting there on a side table. No one had announced our order whatsoever. What made the delay even more frustrating was that we had frozen groceries in the car that needed to be taken home. Despite living less than half a mile away, we'll gladly make the longer drive to another Beach Bowls location in the future for better service and a more enjoyable experience.

I have only used it once or twice, but it was convenient when it was available. It seemed like much of the time, some left their car there to charge for long periods of time without shopping. I asked the cleric if he could cut into this other several pieces and give me a center cut and he said no we had to take the end piece. I said I didn't want the in peace and wanted the more juicier piece from the center. Ask for the manager and the manager didn't want to do it either. So we decided to skip lunch altogether at this place. No one might think well that's their policy. But I've got in there several times and there will be several pieces cut and that's what it's designed for. They have display window and they even ask you what chicken would you like. Every time we come in here it really looks like they don't love their job. They are not friendly but the food is okay. I've decided just to stop coming to this store altogether. The deli's friendly where you can get sliced meats but the meat department they always seem to be unfriendly, this smoke shop they definitely don't have customer service in mind. I don't go to a place to get perfect service. But it does seem that this place is starting to slip with how they treat a customer who wants to spend money.

It only occupies a portion of the lot, so one can still park in the lot to minimize the distance for easy in/out. Currently it runs in the morning on Thursday, stopping around 1 pm, so good for a lunch stop. It DOES have a marvelous view of the ocean. There are two areas: the biggest one in the parking lot, and a smaller one on the George Freeth Way road (where we usually park our car in angled metered spots on non-farmer market days, of course). I would say it fits into the medium/small size farmer's market in LA (with Santa Monica being large and Marina del Rey being towards the smaller), with the typical produce like organic eggs and fruits (strawberries). The vendors seemed to specialize in one or two types of sales. It wasn't crowded at all, and there was opportunity to talk to the vendors without feeling like you were holding others up. There are plenty of variety of prepared food as well, with one of the bigger stands selling freshly popped kettle corn (with free samples!).

It is not too far from the pier itself & there's plenty of parking, some are metered, some by the Elks Lodge us free on fmr mkts days only. If you coming from the parking lot you'll encounter the fresh food areas first (tamales, pupusas, coffee, baked hoods, teas, pastas, fresh fish). Today there was a lady playing her guitar by the fresh flowers & another lady playing her violin towards the area of the fresh produce (near plants/seedlings vendor). Usually I rarely try coffee at fmr mkts but one vendor caught my eye & it was $2.50 for brewed coffee (pour overs aren't my faves). I was pleasantly surprised. It was an Ethiopian medium-dark blend & it full bodied. robust, it was really goo! i liked it so much I returned & was happy to know that refills are $1 (thought I'd pay another $2.50, score!). The vendor was very nice ' we inquired what other mkts he features his coffee. He saud he goes to Torrance as well but only sells. beans there, no brewed coffee. Darn! One other vendor that's new was selling plant based crackers, hummus, & pasta sauces. Out of curiosity I tried some, liked the hummus & purchased dome along with the crackers. Okay, it didn't occur to me to ask until it's paid for how much it was, it was $14, which I think is a bit pricey. Thank goodness I tried it first but perhaps next time I'll ask for the cost & weigh in whether I should get it or not. Hubby had to get the specialty kettle popcorn, it was $8 and it's very addicting. It was so good, he finished the whole bag. Well worth it for the biggest little kid in him. I did try em, oh so good! I had to stay away from it. It's a very nice day at the beach, we strolled along & enjoyed the views while we checked out what being sold at this market. Definitely recommend this place, it's here every Thursday, 8 am until 1 pm.
