We shop at the Torrance Grocery Outlet every week. I'm so happy to say that this store has remained consistent in fantastic customer service and great products since the day they opened. Spotlessly clean. Good selections (meats and produce) .. so many good selections. And, the center aisles complete with many choices and so very well stocked. I love shopping in the location because it feels like a very well run grocery store. Thank you for being here!

Download the app to see what's in store, get access to insider events, & digital offers, including a $5 off $25 coupon at registration. I was wondering what will take over the defunct S-Mart that's been sitting empty for a couple of years... Grocery Outlet. Yay! I was planning on attending their grand opening on 10/30/25, but missed it because I forgot to set a reminder on my calendar. =( I started going to Grocery Outlet in Lomita (refer to Review #866) after they replaced Big Lots last year; Torrance also feels a tad smaller. They're a discount grocery chain that sells name brand groceries & fresh produce for 40% - 70% less than conventional grocery stores. How? By buying overstocked, seasonal, closeout, & discontinued items from various suppliers. This "opportunistic buying" allows them to acquire items at significant discounts, which are passed on to us. I found some great deals on kitten/cat food: Wellness Appetizing Entrées Flaked Favorites: Tuna; Tuna & Cod; Tuna, Mackerel, & Shrimp; Tuna & Tilapia (62% cost savings), Reveal Kitten Chicken Recipe (73% cost savings), Merrick Backcountry Grain Free pouches. Some other deals: my fav ramen, A-Sha, was sold in convenient individual bowls at 77¢ & $1.49; Manitoba Milling Flax Milk 32 fl. oz. is only $1.49. I haven't seen Pier 33 or Santa Monica Seafood for salmon, or King Arthur All-Purpose Flour yet. A couple of weeks ago, I had a coupon that I tried to use at Lomita, not realizing that it's location specific (Torrance), & the cashier got an override from her supervisor & applied the discount. She shared that Grocery Outlet runs an independent operator model so prices & inventory vary from store to store, & coupons are typically store specific, especially if it's printed on the receipt. Store hours are 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM daily, just a couple hours shorter than the traditional stores. Wide aisles are well-stocked & organized, but I prefer Lomita's arrangement better. I found some great deals on my last couple of trips, partly due to the short expiration date, expiring within a week or two; check 'em dates. There's usually a couple of registers open so I rarely wait more than a couple of mins. before it's my turn. This is our preferred location because it's so close to home. So glad Grocery Outlet is finally here... welcome to the neighborhood!

Newest grocery store in town! There's been several groceries that have been in the location. OG South Bay folks may remember a Lucky Grocery than Albertsons and then finally S-Mart. After S-Mart closed, it was a few years vacant and now finally Grocery Outlet is here! It's nice to have a bright, new grocery store at this corner location. They opened up with a bang with a giant Grand Opening celebration and now they're in full operation offering fresh groceries to the community. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Brand new store in the old S*Mart Lot! Grand Opening today! The first 100 people in line got a Gift Card! The Gift Card I opened was worth $10. People also got one Reusable tote bag when they checked out, while supplies last. The Tote Bag was given with my purchases placed inside. I came for the Grand Opening. The store opened at 7AM, so I got there around 6:06 AM and there were already about 25-30 people in line already! They also had Coffee & Hot Chocolate from Corridor Flow available for us while we waited. I like Corridor Flow! It was very appreciated and nice to have it waiting for us! Thank you! I've been anticipating the opening! Everyone was very welcoming and the line to enter went quickly. I did some shopping because I love Grocery Outlet and wanted to see what the store looked like! The store is pristine & organized, just as it should be since this is a new business! I have been in a number of Grocery Outlet Bargain Market stores, and this one has the familiar look & feel as the other ones. However, I pretty much know the basic things they carry. Each store is independently owned & operated. This one is franchised by a father and daughter team. They also have a limited variety of items unique to their store each week. They aren't always advertised. I like to visit different stores to see what new thing I might find. Download their App. It's quite useful! I also received a digital coupon for $5 off $15 Minimum Purchase. I'll definitely be back here since it is closer to my house than the other two I frequent! Welcome to Torrance, Grocery Outlet!

My first time at this Grocery Outlet. They had some good sales. Not anything healthy that I picked out, but great prices. Customer service was great. The store was nicely organized. The cherries I bought were not sweet.

Welcome to Torrance! Such a great addition to what used to be S-Mart... was wondering what this would be and they hit the jackpot on location and all. The place is very clean, well organized and very friendly staff as soon as you enter. Loved that they had a table so you can enter raffle and get $5 off your $15 purchase and I scored some fun stuff for sure. Their produce is fresh, well organized and great prices as well. Near the produce area they had a small set up featuring their Chicken and had fresh tacos to sample with all the fixings and loved that little touch. They have a great Organic selection of items for fair prices. Love that they have a great selection of Mexican papayas and jicamas you sold me at that. Over all visit was great walked all the isles and it's a great store for all. I always love to grab my stuff here if I'm going to host people over cause you can't beat the great prices and it's just a few mins from my home. As I check out they had a free reusable bag love that little touch.. make sure to download the app for fun savings and scoring some great opportunities for free groceries for a year!

I was so excited the grocery outlet store just opened up. Every location I go to has such a variety of snacks and food at a great price. I was especially excited at this location because they had gluten-free pita bread and a healthy Nutella that tastes like Nutella. The Service is really good and helpful and This place is brand new so it was very clean.

This market is okay. It's about the nearest market around the area--so it's convenient for your quick stop. It carries most of the necessities you'd need for a quick run. We heard they had a grand opening, missed it, but decided to pay them a visit a week later. The store is pretty organized. The staff were nice and greeted us when we entered. Their prices are actually competitive. Not just because they had comparable prices posted in the store, but I can actually vouch that the prices here are a lot better. The same stuff I saw at a big retail store the day prior was sold here for much less. A lot of similar items as well, but some are not exact brands. They have off-brand names, and have cheaper items for folks that can afford it. It may not be your big box retail store or market BUT the store is decent and carry some specialty foods such as plant-based/vegetarian options. The reason why I gave them 3 stars is because, their produce was not fresh when I was here. They just opened, I assumed they'd have fresher rotation of food, but it seems it sat there. It either didn't sell and they're letting it sit until it sells or gets completely old, OR the vendor they get their food from is cheap in bulk or just not good quality. Their tomatoes were mushy, and almost going bad. No rotation of fresh produce put out, and it was a weekend. I know this is a family owned father-daughter business so I came here to support small local businesses. This used to be the Asian market, but now replaced with Grocery Outlet. I think this spot is a perfect location. I hope they sell well, and get a lot of business and local patrons overtime. I will come back again maybe at another time, but would not be my first choice.

Cretors Cheese & Caramel Mix Popcorn!
    Lola L.

I walked into the store looking for a brand of cheese and caramel popcorn. When I asked someone who looked like an employee it was the owner Mr. Jorge Smith. He was friendly, kind and asked me to describe the product. He called his beautiful daughter over, Angelina Smith who said that she knew exactly what product I wanted. She said she would ordered it. She did! When I came in the next time my Cretors handcrafted Cheese & Caramel Mix was front and centered in the upon entering the store. This bag of popcorn cost me $7.99. The Popcorn factory & Garrett Popcorn sells this combination for almost $40. I am super happy that I can have my treat at a fantastic price. This store is spacious the products are brilliantly presented and they have the best colby cheese, deli meat and vegetables. This is my go to store when I want quality food, service and friendly owners and employees. I sincerely recommend the Torrance Grocery Outlet Bargain Market.

My goal was to go check out Erewhon and all the smoothies and artisanal popcorn that celebrities and food influencers rave about online, but the Torrance H-Mart was an interesting destination in itself. I had to really restrain myself from buying everything that I wanted. I ultimately bought: 1. The Hojicha Tea Black Chocolate from Japan (the brand is Meiji) 2. The Green KitKats (Extra Matcha Tea Chocolate from Japan). 3. The Hanyul Hand Cream (I bought three - Chrysanthemum, Artemisia, and Ja Cho). They smell amazing and keep my hands moisturized.
