Every time I come in, someone speaks, asks if I need help, or just has a good attitude. It honestly makes a difference because you don't get that everywhere anymore. The store is always a good experience, but the staff is what really stands out to me.

Unfortunately, the shopping experience has some frustrating issues. Some self-checkout machines don't accept cash or coins, and often there's no register open at all, leaving you to scan and bag everything yourself. Why come here if that's going to be the experience? Just go to Whole Foods. They offer Amazon discounts and much better customer service. Prices are on the higher side, and staff at checkout provide minimal assistance. When I asked about cash, one employee simply said, "The machine does not accept cash," with no apology or explanation. For the prices you pay, it's disappointing that basic checkout convenience and cash & coins acceptance for self-checkout machines are NOT consistently available, especially compared to how much effort goes into the store's presentation.

No more cherry acai for me. I did have granola so that was not what caused the problem I experienced before. I can confidently keep ordering my bowls here now. I'm really glad I don't need to switch shops because the location is convenient and I liked everything about my previous orders except those irritating bits of miniature concrete I kept chewing on when I ordered the bowls with cherry. If you enjoy keeping your teeth whole, you might also want to bypass that particular flavor.

Hemp seeds and blueberries are my staples. I'm very particular about my strawberries at any establishment. If they are not in season I don't like to add them to my order. I imagine the servers have great baristas with steady flow of positive, healthy energy. They give genuine have-it-your-way vibes. Beach Bowls is a cute way to end a date any time of the day. My niece ordered a chocolate something that I may consider trying the next go round.

I have only used it once or twice, but it was convenient when it was available. It seemed like much of the time, some left their car there to charge for long periods of time without shopping. A new charging station with several superchargers just opened at the other end of the center. I wonder if that was part of the reason this one is now gone.

Today I went in and tried to get a middle cut tri tip plate. They had a piece of meat that was on the end and have been sitting there for a while. I asked the cleric if he could cut into this other several pieces and give me a center cut and he said no we had to take the end piece. I said I didn't want the in peace and wanted the more juicier piece from the center. Ask for the manager and the manager didn't want to do it either. So we decided to skip lunch altogether at this place. No one might think well that's their policy. But I've got in there several times and there will be several pieces cut and that's what it's designed for. They have display window and they even ask you what chicken would you like. Every time we come in here it really looks like they don't love their job. They are not friendly but the food is okay. I've decided just to stop coming to this store altogether. The deli's friendly where you can get sliced meats but the meat department they always seem to be unfriendly, this smoke shop they definitely don't have customer service in mind. I don't go to a place to get perfect service. But it does seem that this place is starting to slip with how they treat a customer who wants to spend money.

It only occupies a portion of the lot, so one can still park in the lot to minimize the distance for easy in/out. Currently it runs in the morning on Thursday, stopping around 1 pm, so good for a lunch stop. It DOES have a marvelous view of the ocean. There are two areas: the biggest one in the parking lot, and a smaller one on the George Freeth Way road (where we usually park our car in angled metered spots on non-farmer market days, of course). I would say it fits into the medium/small size farmer's market in LA (with Santa Monica being large and Marina del Rey being towards the smaller), with the typical produce like organic eggs and fruits (strawberries). The vendors seemed to specialize in one or two types of sales. It wasn't crowded at all, and there was opportunity to talk to the vendors without feeling like you were holding others up. There are plenty of variety of prepared food as well, with one of the bigger stands selling freshly popped kettle corn (with free samples!).

I got some delicious kefir cheese yogurt here from the Frenchy for 4 for $24 in the flavors sour Cherry, guava, apricot and banana. I also sampled lemon and it was delicious. They also had fun flavors like honey lavender that I'd like to come back and try. There was an organic hand printed Indian fabric clothing stand too with beautiful dresses. My brother bought a $10 purse there. I bought 3 potted herb plants (including Vietnamese herbs) to plant in my yard. They had fresh flowers, fruits, the classic kettle corn and a lot more to offer here! My brother also got an espresso spritzer for $5 at a Japanese coffee stand and it was high quality and delicious. The bad: You have to pay for parking unless you park further on the street (like we did) and walk over. The interesting: I think the Frenchy is from Sacramento. I'm unsure if they always sell at this market or if it was a special occasion.
