When I visit family in Canada and ask them if there is anything they want me to bring, they always request Trader Joe's items. I'm fortunate to live down the street from Trader Joe's though my family members rarely get the chance to browse the seasonal items (or even the regular items) at Trader Joe's. I enjoy visiting this particular Trader Joe's location as the service, product variety, and prices are all great! The hours are also convenient as they are open from 8 AM to 9 PM daily. I was trying to think of where to get some flowers on the way home last night. Trade Joe's was the perfect place. In fact, for Valentine's Day this year, while other stores increased their prices for flowers and Valentine's Day items, Trader Joe's still had reasonable prices and plenty of flowers in stock. It's nice to know I would have had the option to get them in the morning or evening. The products are also great! From the Fall festive items to holiday items, they have a little of everything. In fact, for the holidays, I tend to get gifts for my co-workers and a few treats for the family all from Trader Joe's. Great prices for high quality items and tasty items at that. My favorite snacks are the Scandinavian Swimmers (gummy sea animals), Chocolate Orange Sticks, and Chocolate-Covered Powerberries. I also enjoy some of the meats, fruits, cheeses, and really, everything! I remember when they had samples of different items and also had incentives and giveaways for using your own bag. While they may still do both of these, I do not recall them happening in a while. But the staff, they are always so helpful whether they are stocking shelves, serving as cashiers, or walking around. I also find that they always have so many cashiers working at once, and the lines move quickly. I'm never concerned when I see a line. I'm sure I'll be back at Trader Joe's in a matter of days (or sooner). I can't wait to see what's on the end cap the next time I show up. read more

This is my favorite Trader Joe's to shop at. It's always really well stocked and the parking lot isn't a nightmare to navigate. Yesterday was my birthday and I stopped in to grab some groceries to tide me over during the holiday. The person that helped me was named Jade and they started a conversation with me as they rang up my modest purchase. I told them that I was recovering from major surgery for my birthday, Christmas and the New Year. With no hesitation, they grabbed me a bundle of pretty flowers and gave them to me! I can't remember the last time someone gave me flowers. It was such a gesture of human kindness during a difficult time for me. Thanks for setting such a great example read more

Great prices and phenomenal customer service. Only major gripe is with the customers letting their small children pick up and touch the alcohol I watched a kid no older than 6 maybe 7 grab a bottle of wine off the shelf and just drop it. Outside of the above issue. Great selection of food and things the ones out on the west side don't seem to have. Prices are 50 cents above or under at most for the same things out on the west side of town so that's good that prices are same across the board. Cashiers were great and in a pleasant mood for literally being slammed with the afternoon rush. read more

Amazing place! All the food I like and amazing customer service. Parking lot can be a bit of an adventure, but well worth it. They were passing out a free tin of 'jingle jangle' today, it looks tasty. I will be back for sure. I do wish they had hard liquor at this location though. read more

A fabulous location all around. The store is big with lots of room between aisles. They don't over-crowd their stock, so you actually find what you're looking for, and their produce is reliably fresh. The employees are friendly, helpful and always quick to check in back or on the computer for an item not on the floor. Additionally, it has a great parking lot with lots of "good" spaces for quick in and out. I stopped in this afternoon to pickup some of our TJ's asenculs, as my wife normally does our shopping...TJ is one of her favorite places to shop, as her area of TJ shopping bags & coolers from around the country suggest she's an advocate for TJ'S. Just an FYI we've both been shopping their since the 80's as teenagers. As I was checking out the cashier probed questions that I had to replay, my wife had surgery and I was doing the shopping. The cashier said hang on I'll be back in in moment, she returned with a half of dozen flowers and told me to let her know that they were from Trader Joe's. That's more than customer service, that's person attention to detail. A couple of patrons overhead our conversation, I replied thank you, as you just brought tears to my eyes. They all smiled knowing a man at my age was very sincere about his situation and how I was able to express my honest feelings. I didn't get the cashier name, I'm sorry for that. My favorite grocery store to shop at, and it's located right by besties place. Parking isn't plenty but you'll always find a spot. Since this is west coast ish, they do have an alcohol selection that is unbeatable in price and taste. Wine, beer and wine a bit of hard liquor. Similar layout, all the cold items are along the wall. Some recommendations: organic dish soap, toms tooth paste, maple syrup chicken sausages, and shishito pepper. read more

Customer service is great, and the store is clean. It is probably time for an interior refresh. They have specialty items but if you try them and like them, hurry back because they may not be there. Ok so I'm completely obsessed with Trader Joe's, the Tatum and Shea location is the absolute best! The floral section is the absolute best. If you ever have a party or need to put an arrangement together the flowers are always fresh with a huge variety. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I love this location and I was looking for items to make a simple broth with soup dumplings, which I found and were perfect. While there grabbed a few additional items that sounded tasty including chilli-lime almonds, garlic cashews, instant tea and I tried a creamy Syrah cheese spread which is Amazing! I find myself headed to Trader Joe's more and more often, to the point I hit Trader Joe's 2-3 times a week now. Why not? It's easy to get to, easy parking, quick to get through the store to grab everything you need, and they keep what you need stocked throughout the day, someone's always around to help if you can't find what you need and they're usually successful in getting you to it, checkout is done by someone in a great mood who also makes an effort to improve your mood whatever it is, your groceries are bagged in a way that makes sure they get home in the same shape you picked them out, and zoom - you're out in no time. Whatever I need, if they have a version of it at Trader Joe's, I'd prefer to get it there. The other pleasant customers I see there obviously agree. read more

Normally, I would go to the location up at Frank Lloyd Wright because it was a bit bigger and had a larger parking lot. I was so happy when they increased the parking lot size at this location. I used to drive around the building and would end up parking at Whole Foods so it was a little annoying. Another thing, there is a street light just west of the parking lot now that makes it a lot easier for me to go east on Shea Blvd. The employees are always friendly and they've been great throughout the pandemic. I stopped going to other stores for a bit because I felt much more comfortable at Trader Joe's and how they handled everything - limiting the amount of people in the store, sanitizing carts and personally offering hand sanitizer to all guests. I also love Trader Joe's because of all their fun and new items every season but they have plenty of great staples for my home. read more

SO frustrated. Google their hours and it shows that they open at 8 AM. I arrive at 8 AM to find out it's senior hours. I called the next time when it still shows "open at 8 AM" they told me they do open at 8 AM and so I said "what about senior hours?" and they said they "open at 8 AM." Arrive art 8am and I'm stopped at the door. I'm all for companies offering senior hours and doing what they can to help but get it straight people and do not have me wasting my gas and time scheduling my day around arriving at a store to shop only to find out I can't. Additionally Trader Joe's consistently seems to underestimate their need for product. I know it's a pandemic but items they have don't seem to last a full season and management has said that every year they try to increase their order but they never order enough. I know it's more of a luxury store and their food items are fun but it's always a disappointment when they can't coordinate with management or post the correct hours. This location specifically is clean however even after their parking lot expansion it does not seem to help if you go at a peak time. Drive carefully. read more

One of my favorite grocery stores for so many reasons; Employees are stock holders, biodegradable produce bags, use their employees art for advertising, great prices, obscure products, flowers are fresh and the cheapest you can buy anywhere, for the most part,, the wine is too. Very pleased to see this Trader Joe's doing a great job of enforcing mask-wearing and hand sanitizer use. All employees and all people inside the store were wearing masks, and the friendly person at the door was offering hand sanitizer to anyone who wanted some. As always the store was very clean and had a great selection. The cashier was very friendly and double-bagged my heavy groceries. He even said, "I bag 'em like they're my own!" As a long time shopper at Trader Joe's, I have found this location to be the best in the Valley. From the staff, to the product availability, I no longer have to shop multiple grocers (Whole Foods to Frys to Sprouts to Trader Joe's) to get what I need. I never knew grocery shopping would be so fun! I find myself coming to Trader Joe's multiply times a week, and in no way is that a bad thing. There isn't a grocery store in the valley taking social distancing more seriously. Unlike Fry's (which basically told me to pound sand when I told them the amount of customers not wearing masks and acting aggressively towards other customers had me weary of coming back), TJ's won't even let you in the store if you don't have a mask. The store is ALWAYS clean and organized. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and eager to assist. They have sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer readily available at entrance. They follow a strict occupancy limit. If every grocery store and business operated like TJ's during this pandemic, our country would be in a much better place. Thank you guys for doing your part. I quite like this Trader Joe's location, though I honestly don't get to this one as often as I'd like. I typically frequent the Frank Lloyd Wright location as it's a bit closer to home. This location, though a bit smaller, is pleasantly less hectic and congested than that location and still stocks just about all of my staple purchases. The staff is cheerful and friendly as is the norm with Trader Joe's as a rule. The atmosphere here is relaxing and just pleasant to shop in. Definitely recommended. read more

It seems like all Trader Joe's stores please me easily. I love every single location that I cross by. Therefore, this Shea location is not my exception. It is super clean and organized. Staffs are very friendly. There is nothing for me to complain about. I came here with my friends. They both like organic food and local product. Even though we know that the price is about $1 or $2 higher than regular market, we still end up with buying a lot of things. Because this store gives us a strong feeling and positive experience that it has credible and healthy products. One more thing I like is that it has a small cart that fit for kids. It is absolutely cute. I haven't seen anything like that from any store before. I bought heavy whipping cream and mascarpone for my tiramisu tomorrow. But I couldn't find lady finger. They are great for precut veggies and fruits, unique cheeses, prepared sandwiches and salads (try the Pasadena....it's AMAZINGLY) and an assortment of easy to cook frozen meals and desserts. Some of our must get items are the crispy chocolate chip cookies, orange jelly sticks, and the caramelized onion dip. The store is clean and bright. The staff is friendly and willing to let you try just about anything. Most times when you go they are offering samples in the back of the store there is always a chance to try something new.
