I currently live in Hawaii so every chance I get when I'm in the mainland, I make it's point to stop at Trader Joe. Surprisingly there was no lines outside the store to get in, and the cashier was super nice! read more

Fast and Friendly is how I'd describe the store (this location). Rang me up me up with a smile. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. And I appreciate that the employees are competent adults. They actually have customer service skills and are attentive and engaging and on task rather than texting on their phones like you see young workers doing at other stores. I might be low-key insulting other grocery store chains, but it is what it is. I like how Trader Joe's does sampling on a regular basis. I tend to buy stuff they are sampling once I've tried it. Trader Joe's always has unique offerings whenever I go. They have such a huge selection of quality snacks. The promotional items usually peak my interest and end up buying some. Marketing is winning! I didn't give it 5 stars because I think this place gives a false perception of healthy food. Most of the food has fillers and sweeteners like any other stores products. Just because it says no artificial flavor it's doesn't mean it's healthy. Also, the cookies tubs do NOT have expiration dates. Isn't this against the FDA? I mean I'll probably scarf them down in one sitting before they have a chance to spoil anyway but it's a little odd that they don't. Well I know where I'm coming if ever I need food to last through Armageddon! read more

Love this store and the delicious variety it offers!! This store and Aldi's are my favorites!!

This location is great. All the staff are super helpful & their aisles are jam packed full of all the Trader Joe's goods. Our kids love all their frozen Fettuccine meals, Frozen Gnocchi variations & they are super easy dinners when you're low on time to prepare a quick meal & they pair well with streamed frozen veggies. I really like their variety of 70% & up dark chocolates (that are good & cheap.) Their dark chocolate covered pretzels are super addicting. They also usually have a good variety of fresh cut flowers. The only gripe I have is that this is a smaller location & can get pretty packed in their & although it's a large parking lot the parking is shared with a bunch of other businesses (like Sprouts) & the shape of the parking lot is kinda nutty with no direction lines or stop signs. read more

Fresh and Healthy Foods, Friendly Staff, A Bit Pendy, But Good... I come here mostly for the Trader Joe brand (Non-Alcoholic) Ginger Beer which is pretty awesome! It's a best served frosty cold and shaken kind of drink that leaves you feeling refreshed. This store has lots of better quality produce and it's actually fresh. The staff is also always super friendly. Clean and organized is the theme here as well! I would shop here much more frequently but many things are just at the point of being just a bit too speedy. Like the snake bags and things, I just make them myself. Good spot, go get some ginger beer! read more

Kastell & Ryan was sweet and helpful! I was looking for sweet blend red wine, but Trader Joe's don't have the brand I was looking for! Ryan recommended a bottle of 14 Hands Unicorn Bubbles. Kastell was also my cashier! Spent $100. I love this place! It was so busy on a Thursday! Everyone that work there are so helpful. read more

Definitely one of my favorite stores to shop at! Whether I'm looking for staples such as organic Fuji apples, banana, and peaches, or new finds like organic French baguettes and TJ's pork gyoza that I can actually eat (!!), this store fulfills my needs (and wants). Staff here are always smiling and very helpful. Deducted a star since I found at least three peaches with mold on them- ugh. One was caused by a nearby apple's stem making contact with it. Perhaps changing product placement might help? read more

Laurie she was amazing on 8/12/2022. She help me pick out the Mac n cheese. And it was low fat and ended up being ok. Appreciate her kind words and loving smile! Great customer service and friendly environment. Went in on 8/16/2022 and Shannon gave me flowers at the register. That made my day even brighter than her smile!! Being away from home on business and missing my local Trader joes is hard. This one has made it easy with the love and smiles they have shown! My family store away from home! read more

"Technology is so great when it works", so has been said. I just discover Apple Pay at my Trader Joe's. It very fast, very private and very simple. read more

We were held hostage at the checkout because we were about $5 short for our groceries. I asked if she could cancel the transaction or take something off so we could leave. Apparently there was no other way the situation could've played out other than my boyfriend going and returning other groceries we bought and coming back to release me after and our groceries from Trader Joe's. HORRIBLE. I am still in shock she didn't just mark the remainder as cash and close the drawer, and return something in our bag for that amount. Manager came by her checkout as well and offered no solution or interaction with me. read more

I love this place! Wish I could give it 10 stars! Great people, great prices, and great service. Forever a fan of TJs! And of course I love this location read more

I love Trader Joe's and shop here every week. I also appreciate that they make everyone wear masks and that when someone tries to cheat or pull their mask down below their nose they're called out on it. I know Trader Joe's treats their employees well but they don't get paid enough to deal with adults acting like children over masks. Love their organic and specialty items. read more

I don't know how they manage to find such pleasant and helpful employees at every location I've been to but I never have a problem getting help, never get an attitude when I ask a question even if they are in the middle of stocking shelves etc. They always stop what they're doing to answer my question and usually walk me to the section where the item would be if they have it. They are more congenial than Disneyland employees! On top of that, the prices are unbelievabley reasonable on most products and the quality is exellent. I love that it is a manageable sized store where I'm not exhausted when I leave, even if I have to backtrack to find something. They may not have the multitude of samples of a Costco, but what they offer is fun to try and many times I've gone to buy the product after tasting it. And they have some if the prettiest, sturdiest, most colorful tote bags of any store so I almost always buy one, often as gifts for my kids. I now have bags from three states. I got started shopping more often at my local TJ's and other smaller stores in San Diego years ago when there was a grocery store union strike and just never went back to the big chains except when I needed products not available at TJ's. I love it when I find one when I travel as I'm already familiar with their products and layout. read more

Trader Joes, where have you been my entire life? I wish I had discovered you sooner but am still very grateful you're in my life now! Every time my husband and I go grocery shopping and a large store we always seem to buy less and spend and waste more. Don't ask, I don't get it either. However, ever since we've been visiting Trader Joes we both feel like we get great value at a great price and don't waste any of it! We spend less and enjoy more. Last Saturday they had different items out for trying and recipes that could go with it! We made the chorizo & corn soup and it was absolutely delish! Yes, I think it is obvious we are fans and we encourage you to visit! The staff/service is also so amazing! Everyone is always asking if you're okay and if you need assistance. We always feel very welcome and you will too! read more

The organization and placement of things made it easy to navigate, but the experience with the cashier Michael G made our experience there quite uncomfortable. He was rough and aggressive with our food, popping a hole in one of our salad bags from his aggressive handling, and stood there while we bagged our own goods, rolling his eyes, making me walk all the way around his side of the register to grab my items. He was very unfriendly, rolled his eyes as we approached him (what seemed quite judgemental), and was quite negative towards us. Appearing friendly to his coworkers, we assumed it might've been deliberate. We are frequent shoppers of Trader Joe's, but never have we experienced this level of dissatisfaction via an interaction with an employee. I know we all have off days, but this was a little much for that to be considered. We will not return to this location. read more

Eclectic store with unique offerings. Think of it as a specialty store more than a grocery

I was so impressed with this Trader Joe's. I recently just moved to the Mesa area for the summer and I live at the Trader Joe's by me in California, so naturally it was my first stop to load up on groceries. I brought my parents who had never been to check it out. The line was long but it moved very quickly. They required everyone to have masks and there were tents set up all around the building to provide shade for everyone. They even handed out water bottles to every one in line (WHAT!?!?). My parents were so impressed. There were so many employees inside constantly restocking things and asking people if they were finding everything ok. It was such a great experience, especially for my parents who have been taking precautions when leaving the house. My dad even picked up a few new items to try and loved them (BBQ sauce and one of the beers in the gold can). He is now going to be a returning customer. Way to go TJ's!! read more

Hello, I shop at this Trader Joe's very often. I just have to say that I witnessed an employee being treated very poorly last week (she's one of my favorites), an older woman with red hair. He's a new manager, a short guy with white hair and I noticed he was talking down to her and was very demeaning in front of customers. I was very uncomfortable with it and felt I should say something, but unfortunately I did not. I was shopping there today and found out that she had just been fired. I don't know what she did, but she definitely didn't deserve to be treated like that while people were shopping, and finding out that she was fired today makes me very uneasy and suspicious that whoever this was had it out for her. If this is how Trader Joe's treats their employees than I will gladly shop elsewhere. You guys just lost a loyal customer. read more

Recently the baseline store changed around all the items. What you don't realize is we like familiarity and feel like home when we go in and can find things. The way items are currently displayed and categorized makes no sense and is not appealing to me any longer. I'm going to stop shopping here and go to the Gilbert location and hopefully things will make sense there. Who comes up with these ideas to change everything around so drastic? It was so nice before this disaster and who ever took over this job gets an f- The Gilbert store is eye pleasing and Mesa is awful. read more

This store has amazing customer service from the greeter's at the door to the cashiers. I recently had a bad experience at another TJ's and decided when I needed to return something to go to the this store since it is my usual store. I was able to return the item and find all the items I could not find last the other store (McClintock/ Guadalupe). The plus for me is the store is clean and if you're in need of help a"crew member" is offering their help! read more

I had a great experience here today. I just had a baby a month ago, and going out with a little one is still new to me. An employee (I so wish I grabbed his name/looked at his name tag) mentioned to me that sprouts has shopping carts specifically for baby car seats. I had just finagled the car seat sideways in the Trader Joe's shopping cart. I thanked him for letting me know. Next thing I know he brought me a shopping cart from sprouts and mentioned he hates not being able to see his daughter while shopping. It was so helpful and so thoughtful. I hadn't even realized sprouts was next door. I thought he was just sharing that with me in case I ever go shopping there. I was blown away. He waited for me to put my groceries into the new cart and then took my old One back. I told him this is my first child and I'm new to all of this and that I really appreciate his help. He congratulated me and even came back with a small Bouquet of flowers for me. Talk about going above and beyond for you customers!! It made my day. Such great customer service here all around, but he truly made my day. This was only my third time out alone with my baby and he helped make it a nice experience. I hope he sees this review! read more

I have always loved this store, and lamented that there is never one close to where I live! If you go up and down each aisle, you will always find an item that is new to you, or something that you've just never noticed. Nine times out of ten, you discover that the item is seriously tasty and awesome! Some of our family favorites: *Marcona almonds with rosemary *Dorot frozen garlic cubes *Black bean and cheese burritos *General Tsao stir-fry sauce *Pretzel rolls *Almond Kringle *The most delicious peaches ever! I could go on and on. I also like that the items there are very reasonably priced. I will continue to hold on to the hope that Trader Joe's will one day build a store closer to my house! read more

Hands down my favorite grocery store. Not only is the food amazing, fresh, and affordable but their customer service is the friendliest by far. Trader Joe's cashiers are always so pleasant and I've witnessed multiple acts of kindness from them towards their shoppers. Today Tina made my day. She is so sweet and did a nice gesture for me after hearing I had a long day. Almost brought me to tears and reminded me to spread kindness like how your employees do. Thank you for putting a smile on my face and having quality people work at your store. Bless you all this holiday season. read more

Sad they stopped carrying their Margarita mix, has been our favorite for years..... TJ's please bring it back

I don't even know where to begin...This is the most amazing group of people that work at this location. Time and time again they've shown me so much kindness. They remember me and are always looking for ways to help me and make my journey at the store easier. I have been injured over 3 years and I'm currently on crutches. Everyone knows me and offers to help me each time and in every way I can think of. Every single person who works here has a heart or pure gold and they're genuinely happy and care. Shoutout to Rob, Brett, Megan, and the amazingly sweet lady with gray/white hair. (I'm so sorry I didn't get your name!) Thank you for being so kind and so awesome. Everyone here is the absolute best!! I'm young and recovering from my third surgery so I'm in a scooter while I do my grocery shopping and usually hurting something fierce. Upon checkout, I had two amazing employees helping me with my giant basket full of stuff! They were both so sweet and maybe saw that I needed to be cheered up. So they GIFTED ME A PLANT!!! I'm still in shock because it was so sweet and unexpected. A simple gesture that completely turned my entire day around :) They also made sure I had help to my car and help loading it. Oh and they made sure to ask that I even had help at HOME! I mean, come on, who else is that awesome? I never feel judged coming here and that says it all. Thank you Gilbert Trader Joe's for being so awesome. read more

I was attacked 4 times in 3 minutes by a poor excuse of an employee named Tina because while speaking to my husband, my mask fell below my nose. She yelled at us in front of a busy store of customers making us feel unwelcome because of a mask simply moving out of place. Trader Joe's has lost my business and I will be sure to spread the word. Tina must think she is law enforcement- not a cashier at a local grocer. Pathetic way to treat a customer. read more

I just love this store. They have the best service and food. I've been coming to this location since they opened.

Easy Breezy! As always it's a pleasure shopping at Traders Joe whether it be for the refrigerated chocolate chips that came make any day better or for the new fall items on the shelves these days. This particular we went for the cookies. However we couldn't help but notice they had a more than favorable selection of flowers today. They're always nice but today the selection was more than nice.....did I mention those cookies?? read more

Best selection of groceries in each category. Clean store and friendly staff. One of my favorite grocery stores to shop at.

This comment is for Shannon S. I hope this comment finds the way to her. Shannon is an AMAZING employee and person. I came into Trader Joe's at the end of a long, emotional day. My best friends mom has stage 4 cancer and I shared that with Shannon. As I was checking out, she asked me to hold on and walked away for a minute. I didn't think anything of it and she came back with flowers for me and my best friends mom. That simple act of kindness brought a smile to my face. It is people like Shannon that is why I shop at Trader Joe's. Shannon- thank you from the bottom of my heart, you brought tears to my eyes with your kindness. read more

Really love this Trader Joe. Although one, this is the only one that I've been to in this area. Workers over here are super friendly and helpful. Pretty clean overall in side. Food is fresh. Need to bring your own grocery bag of course. Price is reasonable as other Trader Joes. Very convenient location in the Gilbert area. Also next to Sprouts. Come here mainly for the meats. Come check it out. read more

Let me start out by saying that I'm not a Trader Joe's fan, but after a recent debate about grocery stores where a friend really stood her ground about it having such great prices, I figured I would suck it up and give this location a try. It's located in a strip mall (surprise!!) with the worst parking lot ever, so I didn't really know what to expect. My only other TJ experiences have been in Center City Philadelphia (gross) and a stand-alone in a suburban Seattle neighborhood. This store is really clean. I went on a Sunday afternoon so it was fairly crowded, but the shelves were stocked and it was pretty easy to maneuver around. If I had a cart it might be another story but I grabbed a basket and went up and down each aisle a couple times. The only messy area was the bathroom but I probably just caught it in between cleaning shifts. Not knowing what I was looking for, I picked up a couple items for dinner and snacks for the kids. Yogurt tubes - good price. English muffins - good price and probably the best I have ever had. Orange Chicken (frozen) - could have been spicier but the kids loved it. Meat dept - expensive...better prices at Sprouts. Frozen blueberries - cheapest around. All-in-all it was a good experience, I was pleasantly surprised, and I started drafting my "okay, you win" text to my friend who stood her ground and I headed to the register. I stood in line and when I was my turn, I told my cashier that I had a bag. This is where they get docked 2 stars. For the amount of time it takes to ring up the 7 items that I had, my cashier made not one, not two, but five smart-ass comments about the fact that I had a Whole Foods bag. I know, I know, what a dumb thing to get bent over, but for me it has to do with service, and Roger (cashier), should just bite his tongue, keep his opinions to himself, and just be happy that I am contributing to his ability to receive a paycheck. I know the $22 I spent is just a teeny-tiny percentage of what the store brings in on a normal day, but because of that interaction, I won't go out of my way to shop there, even if it means saving a couple bucks. read more

This is nice Trader Joe's. I don't love it as much as the Tempe one but it's still good. This store just can feel a little cramped, probably because it's a bit of a smaller location, and I feel like sometimes I have to dig for fresh produce behind the ones in front. If you can get here when they first open there are no lines at all and you still receive the same great friendly service. read more
