Couple years ago, I would rate this 5/5. Products are still good. Check out great selection of Murray's Cheese!!! But they've gone downhill for customer-service. Manager/supervisor very rude to customers and staff. No wonder they have such high turnover rate! Some of the workers have been such darlings, extremely nice and helpful. Better for them they went to work somewhere better. Long lines, why can't they have more than 1 check-out line open? Especially during peak hours, right after work. This Fry's location is short staffed leaving employees overwhelmed and frustrated. Very long lines and not so friendly staff... they don't want to believe you when you find a price error and they act like it's a huge inconvenience for them to look into it. So Fry's yeah, i know it is the big grocery chain here but they could honestly improve a few things. Start with changing the bottleneck entry exit, wow !! So much awful, especially on a busy afternoon. Deli area and ready to eat section is the best feature of this store. Everything else feels sort of stuck in the past. Lots of employees on the floor usually stocking shelves are not especially easy to shop around. I'm not expecting perfection here but the main problem at Fry's is traffic flow. this is the third week of ordering delivery from Fry's. Hopefully the first week they delivered to a different address have no idea where, the second one I asked for no substitutions they substituted items and then I was charged about $30 more. This week Out of think it was 19 items, half was out of stock. so on top of that they canceled my order. Why do I even try to shop at frys? between them being over priced on everything and out of stock I guess I'll continue shopping at Albertson's instead. They have gone downhill. read more

The person assisting the cashier, which happened to be a supervisor, was really rude. Gave away some chai tea of mine that was really expensive. I felt pretty upset that I had to walk back and get another one. I used to rate this store 5/5. Its been in a downward spiral. Last night at 9:40 pm I had a cart full of groceries and the only register open was empty (reg 6, light on...No cashier). So I went to self check out (something I normally wouldn't do with such a large order). Two employees were standing next the self check out talking (deep into personal conversation). About 3/4ths through my order I get a pop up saying I need to "Wait for assistance". I get one of the two idle employee's attention and she tells me "Your groceries have backed up onto the belt you need to get them off" and turns to continue her conversation get my groceries off the belt. Other issues I have with this store: 1) Trash in the parking lot 2) (out of stocks) 3) They shut down registers at night (including self check out) often resulting in lines that shouldn't exist. This store used to be amazing. I remember a cashier manager used to stand in front of the registers, direct traffic and call for additional checkers if necessary (even opening up herself). Its at the point now where I'm only shopping there because my mother prescriptions are all filled at the pharmacy. I'm coming close to changing that. read more

Good food selection....BUT!! They had ONE manned checkout lane !!! In the entire store!!!! Many self serve lanes.... ONE non-self serve lane!!! In a store the size of a Walmart!!! Unfortunately they have turned the anti theft policies on the self check out lanes to over 9000. This causes the system to flag employees to come to your lane. This would be fine if they were staffed but you end up standing around for a good amount of time just waiting. When they do arrive they don't check anything, just flash the badge and you can continue on. This happens almost every time I go. Pointless. Lines are always long. Not a great experience here overall. Staff in general are pleasant and selection is always reasonable. read more

Avoid the Pharmacy at all costs! Had a time sensitive medication and was told would be ready by 12pm. Well it's 5pm, they hung up on my wife twice, and placed me on hold for 30+ minutes while trying to check if it's ready yet! If you can't fill the prescription when it's needed send me somewhere else. Will not be returning to this pharmacy after this experience! What a shit show! read more

Disappointing... it was the last known grocer in this area that's was open past 10pm :( I regularly work late and this was always my go to option for over 2 years. Since this first experience we've found Fry's to be the best for grocery pick-up during this Coronavirus time. They allow me to update my grocery list until the day of pick up, which is very helpful when we have to wait 4-5 days for a pickup slot. When we arrive they are wonderful about attending to us quickly and very friendly. And most (not all) of my order is there! I only wish SOME store would make a provision for seniors to be able to purchase toilet paper for pickup. Every single place says "in store only" so at some point I'm going to have to take the risk and don my gloves and mask and go from store to store to find TP. My family's tried to place a pick up order twice and each time without fail. Something goes wrong. The first time we were told that they would hold the order for 24 hours but my family works full-time jobs so we would not be able to pick up within 24 hours from Sunday.. we asked them to hold it until 6 PM so that we could get there and pick up our order. We were reassured that the order would be held. We even called to confirm that Monday that the order was being held. We were reassured that the order was held once again. when we arrived at 5:30, the order had been put away. spoke with a manager was assured that the next time we placed an order we would be taken care of and they were terribly sorry for any inconvenience. Today I placed my order for pick up between seven and eight because that was the only time I was available. When I went to go pick up my order, I waited there for an hour before anyone came out and even told us that the orders were not ready and that we could pick them up tomorrow morning or that they could cancel the order this is the second time that this is happened to us. I'm never using the service again it's so inconsistent, and it's never been a pleasant experience read more

This is the third time recently this has happened to me, the milk has an expiration date 8 days from now and it's sour and chunky already?? I am pregnant so I need to be really careful what I take in, and I look at dates and tags to be correct.. idk what's going on here but someone's not doing there job right, and they could be looking at a law suit if they're not careful. Shopping for elderly, quarantined father. I love Fry's. I shop there 52 weeks out of the year. Today I was disappointed. I really thought I would get understanding about buying 3 milks. (They were fully stocked) Two for my household and one for my 84 year old pops. Nope, it doesn't matter if you are shopping for an elderly parent who is quarantined. You're only aloud 2. You must come back to the store again which is what everyone wants to do these days. My cashier was really nice through my entire checkout. Wish I'd caught her name. The manager not so much and as I left the person at the door to say have a good day was snarky and rude which made everything worse. So today I decided to give Frys Clicklist a try. Being a mom of two boys life gets crazy so I'm all for being able to order my groceries and pick them up. Well today when i got to frys (Signal Butte & Guadalupe) I was greeted by Heather, she was insanely nice and she loaded up my car quickly. Well after they loaded up my car I went to turn my car back on and it wouldnt start. I called Heather and explained my situation and she came running out. She grabbed my groceries put them in the cooler, handed me a water bottle, and let me come sit inside with them (it was over 100 degrees outside) I was blown away by how kind every employee was to me. I told them I was freaking out and that my phone was almost dead. Then an employee named Seth Powers said "I can jump start your car for you" and just like that he was running out to his car helping me. He was SOOO nice he got my car to start and told me that the battery needed to be replaced and even suggested places for me to take my car. After that Heather and a few other employees came back out and reloaded my car. They gave me a number to call if i needed anything. That was the best customer service I have ever received in my life. On top of that they had everything on my list and they picked out perfect produce and meat for me. Thank you Frys so much! And thank you Heather and Seth I would have been stranded without you guys! Well let's see, my husband and I drank two delicious craft beers, sampled some wonderful cheese, and then had a great lunch--all at Frys! Besides a beautiful and clean grocery/home store, this Frys has a beer/wine bar, sushi bar, sub shop, Asian bowls, grill station and a huge salad bar! The customer service is above and beyond anything I could ever expect at a grocery store. Everyone is eager to help and is passionate about their job--Cordula the cheese lady and Ceylie the bartender really took wonderful care of us. Awesome place! read more

My husband, friends and I love this store so much, that we get made fun of by our other friends because of how much we talk about it. It has everything and then some! Your typical Fry's savings are combined with a custom made sushi bar, beer and wine bar, cheese bar, grill station (they'll grill food for you in the store to take home or even eat at the beer and wine bar), huge deli with lots of salads and custom made sandwiches, Starbucks, clothes, shoes, and I'm sure I'm even forgetting something. They also have a gas station with great deals and I'm always getting discounts since I can buy everything at Fry's. I come here at least 2-3 times a week and it's my favorite grocery store. And what really makes this store the best grocery store and Fry's out there is their customer service. Every single employee is smiling, asks me how I'm doing, helpful, and I truly feel welcome here. The location is still very new and clean, there are always a lot of cashiers working and this is like a more upscale Walmart with everything that they have here. What I'm most impressed with is their ClickList service, where you can order groceries online and set a time to come pick them up, where the employees will bring the groceries to your car and put them in the back. We've used them 5 or 6 times now, with no hassles (on occasion the produce is meh, but more on that later). Today, we got some strawberries that looked like they were going to go bad the next day and a chili paste that was leaking. We called, and without question, they offered to not only replace them but drive them to our house after the last pickup. As my children needed to go to bed, I called back and offered to come get the replacements. Without any prodding or even any frustration on my part, they not only replaced my items, but doubled one of the items I had bought the most of (8 Powerades) AND gave me a credit for our next fee. I can't speak highly enough of this experience, as I truly felt like I was the most important customer they had. read more

Not a good experience. Since I am at high risk and can't go in the store, I sent my son in for several items with my VIP card. Days earlier, I had clipped a Best Customer Bonus to get a free frozen meal and that was one of my primary reasons for going there. When I got home and looked at the receipt, I had been charged full price. I tried calling the "curtesy desk" several times with no answer. On the fourth try, someone who obviously put-off by having to answer a call said there was nothing they could do to help. I explained that I could not come into the store and the person said that would be the only way they could consider resolving the situation.......never mind that I had my payment method, card and VIP card number. There is such a thing as a customer-focus and then there is the attitude that the customer is just a pain in the neck. The latter explains this store. read more

Customer Service Desk girl Rebeckah was absolutely terrible. When asking why our fuel points weren't adding up correctly (1,000 points not showing up right) she basically called us a liar and someone had used the points and it was our issue before she even investigating the problem. I made her look it up in her system and, come to find out, NO ONE HAD USED THEM, like I said. Talk about horrible customer service with an attitude when a loyal customer that comes in weekly for years inquires about a problem the store has with tracking their fuel points. I had to call Fry's main customer service number to resolve the issue. Brian concurred the problem was with the store and they were going to investigate the problem. Waste of time dealing with this and having to babysit their fuel points system that doesn't register correctly. Why come here and be loyal, spend a LOT of money monthly to be called a liar? BUT, Emma is awesome and we love seeing her every week. She is such a polite and respectful, friendly employee there. She is the main reason we find joy going to Fry's every weekend. Her and the guy at Starbucks - Kaia (spelling?) He's awesome too! So friendly, knows our drinks and always smiles and chats with out family. Those two are a joy to see and I believe a lot of people could learn from their VERY friendly customer service. read more

I went into Fry's tonight to get a flu shot. There were signs all over the parking lot about them offering flu shots. I have a difficult time walking but I got into the store and I got on a handicap cart and I went to the pharmacy to get the flu shot only to be told that they won't be giving flu shots for several weeks at this location. Interestingly there were probably 20 signs out in the parking lot posting about them offering flu shots and there was even a big banner inside The store offering flu shots. fry's is raising its prices dramatically they're cutting benefits, they no longer accept the good RX prescription discount program, they cut the fuel points associated with prescriptions and it's just a continual deterioration of service in the store, so we don't shop at Fry's anymore. We go to Walmart the prices are much lower than they are at Fry's and The employees are more friendly than they are at Fry's. Goodbye Fry's. Just to be specific I'm talking about the store on Recker Road and McKellips and if it's not McKellips it's probably Brown Road and Recker. read more

I have shopped at Fry's for over 30 years. Yesterday is the last day I enter that store. I asked for help finding what aisle they now have vinegar on. First employee told me to find a manager. I went to the customer service desk, he just told me he didn't know. Didn't offer to find out just stared at me. Left my basket, left the store, never coming back. Not sure why, but the staff are increasingly rude, I find that many are inexperienced: last several visits, the bagger is so slow the cashier has to help with a lot of the bagging to get it done. Only tells me that there are to many changes and that management is poor because they can't keep experienced help. read more

This Frys has stopped putting the survey numbers on our receipts as I am sure all of them have. This is due to poor surveys they would be getting from not just me but many, many other shoppers who can't get the essentials. First like most other stores paper products then price gouging pop and meat and butter and bread. Also, you can't get your fuel points without doing your surveys. They get you both ways coming and going. They want your loyalty but don't want to reward you back, right? read more

This place is awesome. New, clean, and tons of options! Cheese Bar, Meat Grilling Station, Bar and Sushi Bar! It's nice to sit and have a beer then do your shopping. I'd give it 5 stars but things still feel very out of place. It is very hard to find things, and there isn't much help around the store. I've been in here many times and you do see the associates working for online orders but they never say a word to you. They'll walk right in front of you, cart and all and not acknowledge you. Apparel associates will see you in their area and walk right past you without saying a word. Pretty strange. I will continue to shop here (mainly because of the bar) I just hope these things will improve. read more

Love our Fry's!!!! As one of the biggest Fry's in Arizona this place is amazing. They always have staff out on the floor to answer questions. The kids love $5 sushi on Wednesday's :) I love that everything is easy to find. They also have a grill station, so if you are tired or in a rush you can call ahead or have them grill up your meat from the butcher counter while you have a drink at the wine bar!!
