I love this TJ's. Most of their stuff is usually so good... but what's with the fruit?! We bought a box of raspberries that looked great and went completely moldy overnight. Had to purchase another box. This store is located alongside Walgreens and shares a parking lot. There's a couple rows of parking that are really difficult to get to since nobody wants to walk, but if you go farther out there's always plenty of parking in the shared lot. Staff are always super friendly and helpful if you need anything. I love buying cheese here, and TJ's snacks always have a unique flavor that keeps me coming back for more. read more

I normally love and frequent Trader Joe's and this review is NOT targeted at this specific store. Recently found out they discontinued my favorite product Guara Almonds. Even store employees told me how popular they were with both customers and employees. I called the corportae office and to find out if I could swat them to renew the item and bring it back. Their customer servcice department was completely indifferent. They couldn't care less and told me they were fine if it cost them customers and that I should deal with it. I swear customer service no longer exists and companies could care less about their employees. So sad that the employees in the stores care more than their corporate employees do. I have been soured and definitely will NOT shop there unless necessary. Very sad. read more

For anyone new to Trader Joe's they sell of variety of items which range from food to vitamins to soap and even alternative products. If you are looking for a good soy milk, gluten free items, and vegetarian or vegan food this is a great place. They also have many items which have minimal artificial ingredients and items tested by trader Joe's. I use many of their supplements, purchase whole wheat items and I love their vegan cookies. I have tasted their buffalo meat which was more appealing than deer but not as much as Kobe cow beef or ostrich. The fruits and vegetables are not as cheap as the ones I get at Spanish-named markets but they have fruits with growth and chemical specifications. While their parking situation is not the best I must commend their bathroom which is just lovely. I can only comment on the men's restroom because I have never been inside the female restroom. Beautiful plastic plants, spacious bay area, sink, plenty of towels and soap. This restroom has very comfortable toilet at just the right height on top of a clean floor. Finally, the staff was very friendly but I would say the same about most of the TJ's I have been to. Whenever I am in this area I will be back for vegan chocolate chip cookies, Kashi Go Lean, whole wheat tortillas, apples or a few minutes of restroom relaxation. read more

Trader Joe's isn't my favorite supermarket. Although, I must admit it's too close to my home. So I pass by it all the time. However, the parking's limited, especially when I decide to do groceries. I'm going to agree with Mike G....(us Mike's stick together). I love TJs and they have the best stuff, but the parking is a pain sometimes here. Getting back out is an issue too. There should be a law against people walking around and talking on cell phones, people get so rude when they do that....is it so important that you need to stand in the middle of aisle and keep everyone from doing their shopping? I love the wines here and the cheese...and these multi gran crackers they have for under two dollars...yum...okay...leave some for me. The people who work here have all been there pretty much since it opened and are friendly. All and all a good place to pick up some grub. So...leave your frackin' cell phone in your purse or car and shop away. read more

Parking may be a little bit challenging, but definitely one of the place I go to to get pre-packed lunch and not feel guilty about it. It's reasonable price for a healthy lunch. I was shopping there last night around 4:40 PM on my quarterly trip down to Burbank. As a Disabled Veteran Senior on a cane. I got into a long line under the tents and yes, it was a HOT day. I figured it was going to be a long wait, but after about 7 minutes one of the crew came over to me and asked if I needed a cart, I could go straight to the entrance and enter. When I got up to the carts, another crew member asked if I would like a cold OJ to prevent my blood sugar from dropping. Obviously he saw my red calves. I gratefully accepted the TJ brand Orange Juice (which was the best OJ I have had in a long time!). . WOW, that is EXCELLENT Customer Service, showing that they really care about their customers. I ended up buying a lot more than what was on my list, as usual - but I did walk out a "Happy Camper"! read more

I love trader joes! I find so many really great products for a really good price. They make it with pure ingredients, it's healthy, AND it's cheap, how can you go wrong with that?? My favorite salad from there is the harvest salad with the eggs and cheese. It is so delicious. They also have a lot of really good other salads with a lot to choose from. The "just mangos" is my favorite snack. It is really chewy and sweet and sour all at the same time and I could just eat the whole bag of them in one sitting. They have a lot of great snacks and the people that work there are really nice and friendly and it's an overall great atmosphere. read more

Yes I am a fan of TJs. I am NOT Happy that they discontinued the cool raffle for bringing in your own bag. That is kind of a bummer. Twas nice to have an incentive. What can I say that others haven't already said? Why would you even read reviews for Trader Joe's? As usual, this one has an evil parking lot full of doom. Try to park as far away as possible, or in the Walgreen's lot, if you have a low pain threshold. The staff are always friendly and talkative, even when I am scowling, so they get points for that. Trader Joe's is difficult to review as many of them offer the same products, but each branch has its own character. The Burbank Trader Joes is located in a slightly busier part of Burbank just below Glenoaks on Alameda. Traffic isn't too bad in the area, but the parking lot can get packed during peak hours since it is shared with the neighboring Walgreens. I usually go around 8pm though and parking is rarely an issue at this time. My favorite part about this Trader Joes is the layout. Everything is very easy to find. The oils, canned fish, grains, chips, cheeses, beverages, and what have you have distinct locations--products with a common theme are found in the same areas, even beyond the category of food like 'dairy' or 'meats.' The staff is very friendly here as well. I've never had a bad exchange with any of the employees. Even the staff who assist in bagging the groceries are very kind. As with most Trader Joes, you never have to take your stuff out of the cart or basket to go through checkout. I like to give a hand, but the staff here goes out of their way sometimes to tell you they can do it. The berry selection can be hit or miss. I've purchased the sweetest strawberries and the most tart and bland ones here. This could be a seasonal variance. The greens are usually very fresh. The expiration dates on a lot of the bagged greens like spinach and kale is well after my purchase, which is quite nice. Overall, a good shopping experience for those looking for healthy options with a good variety. read more

Every Trader Joes I've been to has really lacked in the parking department, mostly due to location and the other businesses surrounding it. This Trader Joes is located in the same lot as Walgreens, which means parking here naturally sucks. On a good day you can find parking easily. Typical items to choose from here as all the other locations. Layout is simple. I just wished Trader Joes would get better vegetable selection. Gotta love their premade salads though. read more

Everyone's helpful and friendly. Parking lot is always crowded, and accident prone, but this location has the best parking I've found at TJ's. Gone there long enough where I know almost everyone by name (there is turnover) and they know me by name. So familiar they've become, they often ask me, "What's new?" I start to feel like I have to have exciting news, or I'm a bum if I answer "nothing." The Italian rosemary flatbread huge hit at recent gathering. Makes a great palate cleaner for wine tastings. I was there a few days ago and counted five people walking around the store without masks. I even watched one have a several-minute conversation with a manager, who said nothing to her. When I asked the cashier why no one was enforcing the mask law, he said, "don't look at me, I just work here." But hey at least the credit card tap machine wasn't working because it had an extra layer of plastic on it to keep me safe from an airborne disease that doesn't pose much of a danger on surfaces! read more

I am a very loyal TJ shopper for 25 years. I rarely shop any where else. Today my checker accidentally charged me 2 x for one bag of macadamia nuts (8.99) I noticed this when I came back to the car and looked at the receipt So, I promptly went back in the store to have a manager fix it. He did not apologize at all out of common courtesy and when he gave me my refund he gave me a very suspicious look. This really saddened me. The checker was on her break, there is no way I could have gotten her help to back me up. What's the deal? Does TJs Burbank get scammed often? I thought this was super low Anyways. Thank you SO MUCH to Jenny, she was a literal life-saver. One of my Bluetooth headphones fell out of my pocket and rolled and I couldn't find it anywhere, and she went above and beyond helping me find it (it had somehow gotten kicked under the freezer edge things which she helped temporarily remove to look). This was especially amazing because I had come 15mins before closing, I work retail so I hated being That Person having a Personal Disaster while you're trying to clean up/etc, embarassing. I go here often and I drive from a far just to go to this specific one as the location for parking and employees have been wonderful. Unfortunately, I just witnessed the employee today who was retrieving the carts toss the trash from a Traders Joe shopping cart into the air and watch it land onto the floor. If he is this irresponsible, I wonder what he does inside the store. Made the manager aware. Hopefully she addresses it in some way. #disgusting read more

I love going to Trader Joe's because of the positive energy and relaxing atmosphere and this particular store is falling short! Every time I either feel rushed or the whole place is a bit depressing it's really bizarre! I have been coming to this Trader Joe's for years now. I try to purchase most of my groceries from here because first of all, the items are always fresh and great quality, and you don't have to worry about all that junk that other super markets have in their items. They always have seasonal items which I like to buy while they are ripe. This store is a bit compact, but they have everything that any other Trader Joe's has. This place is HUGE! Much bigger than the one on La Brea that I now frequent. There's a super spacious produce area, which I loved. I found everything I needed there. Never before had I seen fat free vanilla-flavored half and half. I'm sure it'll be good. And, oh my, thank you to Heather G. for telling me to try out the mac 'n cheese. Xoxox! Parking can be an issue here. The lot is big, but completely full. Do people camp out behind TJ's on cots or something? Service was okay. Surprisingly, people were more friendly and talkative at the La Brea location, but it wasn't a big deal. Although I am convinced that Trader Joe's purposely designs their parking lots to be as aggravating and tiny as possible, I can't tear myself away from their amazingly fresh, affordable and pure foods. I'm addicted, I can't stop and I don't want to. A $2.00 bottle of wine paired with the $3.99 Pasadena Chicken Salad at 230 calories = A delicious way to reduce guilt when you are drinking yourself into a stupor alone in your apartment while arguing with your cat about whether or not Magneto is a good guy. Perhaps the overall goal of their property designer was to infuriate the consumer to the point of homicidal rage right before entering the store to make their employees appear even more hospitable than they already are. Seriously; have you ever seen a Trader Joe's employee who isn't the happiest person alive? Either TJ's has unbelievably great benefits, or the pre-shift team meetings consist of cuddling with happy puppies and snorting crushed-up morphine pills. Either way, I love this place. Whatever works. PS - Magneto isn't a villain; he recognizes the necessary evil of war and chooses to be the fittest for survival. I love food that is made and sold by people that have dirty feet and like Phish. BUT, as my experience with most Trader Joes, this location is too crowded, and too small. EVERYTIME I come here I get frustrated by the amount of people that you have to juggle around just to get some Organic Pesto Soap or Chocolate Covered Arabian Hacky Sacks. Even the parking lot is a annoying. There has been a few occasions of purchases that had been expired. Im sure I could have easily returned the items but having to deal with "the experience" just to get a few bucks back never has been worth it. Most of the food is delicious, the staff has always had the best weed, and $2 bottles of wine make great gifts for blind friends. I will always Trade with Joe. Ralph's is convenient, Henry's is fancy, Whole Foods is delectable, but Joe - oh, Joe will always have my heart. Here are my must have's from Trader Joes: -Orange Chicken (frozen section): addictive, super easy to make, and you get your bang for your $$ -Avocadoes: fresh, unbruised, and will ripen within a day or two if you keep it out of the fridge. -Three layer hummus: absolutely delicious. Buy the mini wheat pita's, toast the pita's lightly, and have at the hummus -Bool Kogi marinated meat. Over the grill this meat is so delicious... if you're without a grill, just fry in the frying pan, serve with some green beans and rice and you're SET! -Peach Salsa: addictive -Vanilla Almond Granola - have it with some Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk and you'll always look forward to breakfast -Frozen fruit (strawberries, mangoes, pineapple) - perfect for making slushies, smoothies and milkshakes at home -Yakionigiri (frozen section) - these are the most delicious Japanese fast food items: rice balls covered in a crispy flavorful layer of soy sauce. When you microwave them, turn them over when you take them out of the microwave, cut each in half, and enjoy after a few minutes of cooling down. Then the crust will become crispy. Completely addictive! -Thai Yellow Curry simmering sauce: you can make the most amazing thai curry at home yourself. If you simmer some organic chicken, and add in some frozen mixed veggies, you'll be good to go! Perfect with some brown rice for dinner guests! -Dark Chocolate covered pretzels - keep these in your fridge for when you get some bad chocolate cravings - a couple of these will make you feel so indulgent and satisfied - something about the dark chocolate and the crunch of the salty pretzels... mmm -Chile Cheese Tamales (frozen section) - these are my lunch staple for when I'm lazy, don't have leftovers in the fridge, and can't even motivate myself to make a sandwich. Absolutely yummy. Cover it in some hot sauce and you'll be so happy. -White Cheddar Popcorn - OMG. These are so incredibly good. I can't get enough. Even though I have a popcorn maker at home, and I have cheddar seasoning I can put on top - I will always get these! Ummm... so I'm hungry now. PS - Parking sucks.
