The main section in the middle was clothing, which is one of the kinds you have to sort through each piece to find things. They have entrances both to the parking lot and from the mall side, however only the parking lot side had open registers. We were ready to check out by the mall entrance (which has register bases) but had to walk back to the other side of the store to find an open register. While they had some signage notating sections, there was a lot of product that you could find in multiple areas. Example: seasonal, home decor, bath and beauty, and the front impulse items area all had hand soap in varying styles. Made it hard to see all options in one space. Overall: B- Lack of open registers and a touch of chaos in seeing products brings this place down a notch, but still a good place to find a buy!

We stopped in to see what kind of Post Christmas deals we could find and we definitely found some. I picked up some meat claws for $9.99 (Reg Price $18), a pair of relaxed fit jeans for $29.99 (Reg Price $48), a pair of Volcom Chinos for $42 (Reg Price $49.50), Levi's Chino shorts for $34.99 (Reg Price $50), and three Queen Sealy pillows for $30 combined (Reg Price $30 each). There is not a lot of staff on duty, but the ones that are here are doing the best they can and are as friendly as can be. The store is still pretty well organized and clean. Staff does a great job of keeping the displays going and putting things back where they belong when customers move things around; however, they could improve the cleanliness of the fitting rooms. We had some trouble checking out and needed to have the clerk track down our accounts because they recently changed over to a new system. Not a major deal but it slowed down the checkout process. One of the problems I've always had with J.C. Penny is that they never carry button-down collard shirts that actually look cool or have a dressy Rock-n-Roll vibe. If you're a Golfer or a Yacht owner they got everything you need but for a rocker like me all they have is some black jeans and a few band tees.
