First, I am disappointed with the level of service at the store. There was no one to help me in the Lingerie or the Footware Departments. The whole store only had two cashiers. My cashier was not even friendly. I was surprised that JcPenny had this low level of customer service. The Lingerie had a limited amount of bras in my size. The footware department did not even have a handful of wide sizes. This low inventory was very disappointing. Their clearance sales items are not priced to move. There is little reason to return to the store. I am wondering how long this going to last?

Definitely an older location and has the look and feel to match. They have all the merch you're use to seeing at the chain, with the added bonus of older carpeting and design elements. It could use a facelift cosmetically but has what you need / want. The staff is friendly and always greets us when we come in. Bathrooms are kept clean and neat for the majority. Overall: B Standard merch, older location that could use a facelift, but nice staff!

Smells like the 90s but without the legendary customer service or catalog desk ... which should have very successfully translated into online sales long before Amazon but whatever. Careful management due to the influence of retirees on the books and a willingness to live off the sales of diversified investments for years and years. Rod Johnson came too hard too late and had his own best interest at heart, methinks. I digress, I'll never forget Gwendolyn for helping us every year with our school shopping at the old Sanford store. The one on 17-92 that closed when this one opened up. Anyway, Seems like they're coasting towards an end of life scenario treading water and not doing anything really to stay relevant or fresh. And merchandising's at an all time low, there's just not enough employees to keep up. Store often looks like a yard sale. I'm sometimes in for socks, Xmas returns, and some rubber necking but honestly haven't done any actual business with them in the last few years despite trying to make a point of it. Quality's dropped so low and they're always out of whatever I need; online and offline. Was honestly actually easier to find my last JCP St. John's Bay shirt at a thrift store!!!!!!!!! Giving them a three is very generous.

I…read morewas eager to go back after having dinner a few doors down the night prior and saw a lot of cute options for some sparkling new years options by looking in their windows after they had been closed. My mother and I returned ready to spend money, and I was immediately saddened by the largest size carried throughout, tops and bottoms - was a L. Either way, I decided to try on an item after being chased down by an associate to "start a room" - while I was holding an item. Never heard her do that to the pencil sized blondes in the rest of the store. Oh well. I'm heavily tattooed, I guess I'm a thief. I shrugged that off, however, the "customer service" of that act fell short. I tried on the item while the rest of the women in the store were fawned over and payed attention to as they boasted their alteration program. When I exited the dressing room, and when I gave the item back to the associate and told her it was too small I got a VERY condescending "sorry!" Nothing more. From there, I just decided to exit and not even try to shop for another item, I had really liked a jacket and a sweater. Never even got a light mention of the other store from looking at these reviews. But why should a girl be sequestered to another store just because you're a bigger size? It's very classist and downright weird. I am deeply saddened and frustrated after leaving this place. Not a girls girl place. At all.

They were having a lil pre-valentine event and I was nicely greeted with chocolates and champagne upon entering and given their sales deets. It felt nice and bouje to get to sip while shopping and it was a perfect Friday afternoon for it. They are suppose to be having it a few more days this week along with the salon across in on the fun to show different hairstyles. I may have to swing by for that because in dire need of a trim. Anyway I ended up buying a few nice clothing pieces from both their stores that were on sale/marked down that felt reasonably well priced. The ladies there are personable and welcoming. I also like how the fitting rooms have the really long mirrors and on every wall you get a good sense of the look. I would reccomend Sofie and Trey for any elegant events your attending, it's hard finding dresses but this store is where it's at for this and I think does a good job of having decent amount of choices. 4th & ocean is more for your everyday style and il def be back when they get in their spring collection to see what's in store.

Great Finds and Discounts at Ross Dress for Less in West Volusia Town Center…read more One of the reasons I love shopping at Ross Dress for Less is the amazing discounts, ranging from 20 to 60 percent off department store prices. This location in Orange City, Florida, is no exception! Whether you're looking for home decor, seasonal items, or even clothing, you're sure to find something at a great price. I recently visited and was impressed with the holiday decorations already on display, even before the holidays hit. There were lots of outdoor and indoor Halloween decorations, including fun costumes for dogs and people of all ages--from kids to adults. Some costumes are priced below $10, which is a steal! I also found festive Halloween party dishes, mugs, and other fun items to set the mood. The Christmas decor is also rolling in, so if you spot something you like, I'd recommend grabbing it early. I've learned from experience that waiting too long means the best items can be sold out closer to the holidays. This Ross location is one of the more organized stores I've been to. It's clean, and I appreciate that it's wheelchair-friendly, including the accessible bathrooms. The dressing rooms are also kept clean, and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help you find what you're looking for. If you're trying to avoid long lines, I'd recommend visiting later in the evening. The lines can get busy between 5 and 6 PM as people stop by after work, but I've found that they move pretty quickly. Also, a neat touch for Florida shoppers: they always seem to have umbrellas for sale near the front of the store in case you get caught in one of our many rainstorms! Overall, this is a great Ross location with plenty of fun seasonal finds. I always leave satisfied and look forward to coming back for more holiday shopping!

I found a beautiful, large mirror in a distressed white frame for my entryway. I had been looking for the perfect mirror for at last a year. Paid only $25 for it. If you've ever shopped for mirrors, you know that's a wonderful price for a large mirror. If you have a dogs/dogs make sure to check out the dog toys. Ross always has good, sturdy dog toys at really great prices. They are usually 1/4 of the price you'll find them at Target or any of the pet stores. I have a Standard Poodle who is my service dog, so I always grab a few new toys for him each time I'm in Ross. The only complaint I have is the LONG, LONG line to check out. I shopped for about 15 minutes. I waited in line to check out for nearly 45 minutes. I know this is mainly because people just aren't wanting to work nowadays, so companies are having a difficult time finding people. This is seriously going to start hurting companies more and more if people don't go back to work because I'll come here one more time and if I see the line that long again, then I'll just go home and order a mirror online for $100+ and not waste my time standing in a line. It's a sad day when an American would rather sit on their ass and collect money from the government than get up and get a job. SMH.

Every time I go in the girls are always so friendly and helpful. I was stationed in Texas while active duty military and still ordered my shoes and accessories to be shipped through sophieandtrey.com! They even have an online hashtag contest every month where the winner gets a $100 gift card. I gasped when I saw Sophie & Trey shared one of my photos on their Instagram page. Yes, I'm that girl, lol. They have a rewards program for every $300 you spend you get $15 off. Make sure if you're buying in store and online and are close to the $300 mark you ask them to transfer your points. You can call or go into the store and they will transfer all the points either to your online account or in store account as your in store and online points don't automatically combine. Also when you redeem your $15 do it on a small purchase. You won't receive ANY points no matter how much money you spend above $15. They have a FB live show Monday, Wednesday and Friday where they usually do a giveaway and they show off the new arrivals. They have new arrivals everyday at 7am and 12pm! I went in to purchase some sandals and possibly accessories. As I arrived I was asked "are you shopping for anything special," which I told the associate "no just looking." Not even 5 minutes later I'm holding a pair of shoes looking for my sizes and she comes back asking me "do you want me to put those behind the register for you?" I answered no thank you & kept browsing the store. AGAIN , after I clearly said I'm just looking around she asks me "is there anything I can help you find? I mean sure , polite is a great way to show customer service but the associate was way too overbearing!! Didn't even give me a chance to look or breathe without popping up asking me if what I had in my hand I wanted her to put in the back. Additionally, I was near the accessories and briefly grabbed a piece of jewelry and back comes the associate rushing over asking me "Can I hold onto this for you?" 1) I'm not buying everything I hold onto... and 2) Let me browse the store in peace..... again, this hasn't happened but maybe twice at the sister stores and I feel like it's something that needs to be addressed to ensure that us consumers enjoy our experiences there...
