I always have a great experience and the stores always look great as well. They have a great variety and it's easy to get all my pet stuff in one place. The staff are always very friendly. I noticed an item I paid for today wasn't in my bag. I'll have to call the store in the morning since they aren't open. We realized when we got home. I think it may have been because our cashier took the items out for the dog and went to open them up for us. She was so sweet. I'm wondering if she maybe confused the bags with the items and put the gecko food in another bag. It was expensive and I really don't want to have to buy it again so I'm hoping it's still in the bag there. During our visit we walked around with Miso to see if he liked any toys specifically. We found quite a few that he liked so we purchased them. My oldest son needed some food for his gecko which I had to have him add water to the little bit of food that was left in the geckos bowl to last until tomorrow since we did not have the gecko food when we came home -we noticed it was not in the bag. I also had a pick up order that I placed yesterday but did not get the chance to pick up so we came by today to pick that one up as well. Heaven was our cashier and she was very friendly and kind. She actually helped us the last time too and gave our puppy Miso a treat. This time around she opened his toys for him so I could let him play with them in the car. We will be back again soon. Stopped by Petco while in Orlando to get some help with preparing our 13 year old cat for a two day transport from Florida to Texas. She's been living with my older daughter for the past year and this transition felt like a big one for all of us. Unfortunately, I forgot the older gentlemen's name who was amazingly helpful. He told us about products that would help with her anxiety. He shared stories about his own cat and her temperamental personality like ours. He helped us choose a comfortable cage that would be best for transporting. He helped us to think through the experience from her perspective. They offered unlimited photos with your phone or a cute polaroid for a donation of $5. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. 4 Stars for a solid option for pet needs with kind service! I stopped in today and was able to get some necessities for a new pet joining my household soon. They had a great selection of leashes and harnesses, as well as toys, food, etc. I did note that the crates were much more expensive than I've seen online, but it was incredibly convenient for purchasing the smaller ticket items. Jay checked us out and was really friendly. Additionally, I noticed they have a new puppy coupon book- don't forget to ask about it! Overall, I'd be back for some items, but probably opt for an online shop for the bigger ticket items (or for more variety). The convenience of in-person shopping is valuable though! read more

We have been going here for grooming for about 3 years. Several months ago we had an awkward experience with some new staff members (came in for a nail trim which we have been doing for years... wasn't greeted and the staff members were talking to each other about who would take us in a way that felt very much like they did not want to take us right in front of us) and instead of any confrontation we said nothing, just left and returned later to speak to the grooming manager, Michelle, who wasn't present during the initial interaction who we thought we had rapport with. When we went to try again and hopefully speak to Michelle about the situation she berated us in front of a group of other customers and blamed the issue on company policy and signage. We left and didn't come back for months. We decided to give it another try today. The same manager, Michelle, was cold, looked at my husband as he entered, and then literally said nothing to my husband as he picked up our dog even though she was literally at the computer at the desk directly in front of him. Our dog was also given back to us post groom absolutely covered in loose hair. The other staff there that day were friendly but the leadership and these negative interactions have really soured the experience. I understand frustration with management or company policy but that should not be taken out on customers. This will be the last time we use the grooming services here. read more

I had to go to vet stating my dog was in excellent health. I requested a refund they gave me 1/8 th of what I paid. now I am having to go back to vet due to her anal gland issue. I found 4 dead betta fish. Many of them are sinking, have droopy fins and are barely moving. These usually beautiful fish look horrible. I kindly went up to a worker and brought them the four containers and said these are dead. He was working by the dog treats area and said "Okay. I'll get to it." (as if he wanted me to put them back) I continued to look at him and he said set them down here (on dog treats.) Another worker comes up and says "What are there more?" The reactions and tones had no care for the fish and seemed inconvenient. Second worker had no reason to chime in and quite frankly made it worse by revealing that there were more. I am not a fish person but this was heart breaking to see these beautiful fish dead. They also disposed of said fish very publicly. They had boxes everywhere, I guess they were stocking the shelves. Plenty of staff around the store, no one ever said hi or offered to provide assistance. Reviewing the grooming at this Petco, with almost perfect score. It pains me to give less than five stars but there are a couple things that any dog owner should be aware before bringing a four footed friend here. Most importantly is what a wonderful technician Crystal is. If it were not for Crystal I would not bring my pooch here. She is a gentle and kind, sweet and caring delight of a person. She does a very good job of grooming my Yorky. A few little hiccups over my past three grooming visits have led me to take off really just half star. Sometimes when I call there is no answer, even during business hours. However they are always quick to call me when my dog is done with his service. My other tiny quibble is the Petco charges the same price for services here as they do in other more expensive parts of the country. It's kind of surprising to pay the same amount to have my dog groomed in Orlando as it costs in Los Angeles. Seems a bit steep at $66 but maybe I'm just spoiled by my groomer in LA. There is ample parking out front. TL/dr: Great grooming at an okay price. read more

This Petco is located in the same plaza as Hobby Lobby, Total Wine and Old Navy, specifically right next door to Barnes & Noble, with plenty of parking. My husband, our little girl dog and I came by this store this past Tuesday, a little before 5:45 pm. We were looking for boots for our dog since it has been just so hot in Orlando. The sidewalk can get so incredibly hot on your dog's paws and so it may be helpful to get your pet some boots to protect his/ her feet (this poor dog I know actually got one of the pads on his paw split after walking on very hot cement for a long duration of time without any protection). We had visited a Petsmart the night before but didn't find a good boot that would fit our little girl's paws since she has some pretty small paws. Since we were driving by this area, I just suggested to my husband to check this store out and just see if they have anything. Anyways, when we came in, we were greeted by an employee and then headed down an aisle. Assuming the boots would be in the same aisle as the collars and leashes, we walked in there but didn't see any. So I went back to that employee who greeted me and asked. He told me that they have a very limited selection but showed us what they had (it was on an end cap down the collars and leashes aisle... I was so close). We saw the same boots the had at Petsmart but also was saw these silicone boots (which Petsmart did not have) and thought we would give it a try. If you are a dog owner, you will know that most dogs do not like their paws touch, even if they are barely touched, groomed, nailed trimmed, etc. Well our little girl was leaping and walking wonky when we put on her boots (pretty hilarious.. if you don't know what I am talking about, I am sure you can google a video of dogs wearing shoes or socks for the first time. You are definitely in for a treat). After we laughed, along with 2 other female employees nearby (lol), this one employee had told us that our dog should get used to it over time. And she also asked if our dog was on any special diet or have any dietary restrictions before offering to give her a treat to motivate her to walk (since she decided to stop walking after doing her little hilarious show). This employee also told me that if the shoes don't work, I can always bring it back and exchange for a new one or for a full refund. She told me that I can also exchange this or get a refund if we also lose a boot too. In the end, we ended up purchasing the boots and our little girl has learned to somewhat tolerate them (although I am sure she totally hates me and my husband because we are making her wear them, but it's for her own good, to protect those cute little previous paws) over the past few days. I greatly appreciate both of the employees helping us upon our visit and am so thankful that this Petco had what we were looking for. read more

Definitely an outdated location in a plaza that could use a face lift overall. The store itself is smaller than the new locations, but has lots of merch. They run the usual sales and seasonal promotions, which is nice. They always have clearance items here when the store seasons change, the toys are a pretty good shop here since they over good discounts and my sister's dogs don't seem to mind out of season toys. They have obedience classes,grooming and adoptions here too. Overall: B- Much like the plaza it's in, they could use a face lift, but still a solid store for pet essentials. read more

It is a good place to purchase supplies for your pets. It is fun, however, to walk in every aisle to see what piqued my interest. The live pets are fun to see. This is my 1st time here since getting my dog. I was looking for a variety of dog toys to satisfy my pooch. They offered different options that I needed for my puppy / piranha dog. But I did find what I needed. Their prices were on track with the other pet store I've been going to. I also signed up for the rewards program and hope to get some good coupons soon. I'll be looking into training there as I hear the trainer has had the same breed I do (part piranha). Customer service was ok. Parking is odd as it says 30 minutes only. Really? The staff here is really awesome. On multiple occasions I was helped and asked about my pet and treated as if they new me. Very nice. One gentleman, Martin went above and beyond to give me helpful advice so I didn't have to overspend ,even grabbed me a coupon book too, and personally searched for a good enough item in the clearance bin. All that within the first 5 minutes of me being there! Aside from the great service, they have a good selection of brands for all types of pets. I'd like to start by saying that this Petco groomer did their job. However, we are used to the Osceola Petco store and our expectations of customer service and knowledge are based on our amazing experiences with the staff in Kissimmee. This Petco has the basics- food, toys, relatively knowledgeable staff. However, they're not the most friendly when you're in store and the groomers don't go out of their way to make sure your pup gets star treatment. For example, at the Osceola store, we usually buy the basic package for a bath and nail trim- they send our pup home making sure she's dry all over and will let our pup stay at the desk with someone if they don't have a million dogs they're trying to take care of. My pup got the same package done at this store and was sent home still very wet and was placed in a kennel even though she was the only one there and the groomer was sitting at the desk on her phone upon arrival. Another example is when you're walking through the store, no one asks if you need help. You get greeted but after that, no one comes to see if you need help. 3 Stars for having the basics and getting the job done. However, if one store is excelling and putting their best foot forward, perhaps this store can step up their game. read more

Thank you to Ginny for making my 10 month olds pup first grooming experience great I was extremely worried about where to go to get my dog groomed for the first time and although i loved PetSmart decided to not go with them due to all the news articles on issues with their grooming services sadly, which just worried me even more about getting my dog groomed haha! However arriving at petco my dog was extremely calm and sweet, even the groomer pointed it out. They texted me 30 minutes before she was finished to let me know she'd be done which was so helpful! They even gave me a "report card" on how she did which I absolutely loved. Ginny was super sweet and we will definitely be coming back. read more

This 5 star review is for Crystal, the best dog groomer my difficult pups have ever had. She is gentle and loving and never shows signs of being annoyed with their behavior. The rest of the grooming staff are not as wonderful; we once walked in as two were talking terribly about a dog and rolling their eyes (and he was not nearly as bad as both my pups). Apparently, though, Crystal is temporarily the only groomer and new staff members are starting soon. Going forward we will only schedule with her :) read more

Wow.. I wish I would've got the ladies name that worked here. She greeted us with a warm welcome right when we walked in and began asking questions about my sweet fur baby, Sugar. The reason for our visit was to actually let her pick out one last bone before we put her to sleep tomorrow, and I decided to let the sweet lady know. She then expressed an even greater care for our sugar bear and walked with us throughout the entire store, joining in on the picture taking and tears as she chose the bone she wanted. Sugar walked her last bone right up to the cash register herself where she proceeded to just lay down and enjoy it. As we went to pay, sugars new friend (So sad I didn't get her name) stepped in and took care of her bone saying "it's her last one, we'll take care of it". I am forever grateful for this workers care, kindness and generosity as it's impacted me far greater than she'll ever know. I'm overwhelmingly glad we chose this Petco! read more

So I came here looking for a particular product. I don't see it on the shelf so I over hear two employees talking about one of the girls house being painted. I stop over and ask if they have this product, one girl said yes, it's up by the register locked up. Ok, so I walk away and they continue on talking. I head up to the register, wait in line, asked the cashier if she could get me the item. She said she didn't have access she'll have to call someone up. She pages someone over the intercom and who comes over? The original girl who told me where the product was. Did she just think I was asking her for this product because I could? Seriously crappy customer service!! At least they did have what I was looking for, I had already been to two Petsmarts in the area. So all in all they might have the product you can't find in the other pet stores. Forget about anyone helping you find it. read more
