The last time I was there, the gal working upfront at the register, seemed really mad for some reason. She scoffed or huffed and rolled her eyes when I would ask for something or ask a question. It just really seemed like she didn't want to be there. This most recent time, I was only given the shampoo and not the conditioner for the self wash that I ordered. Once I started the wash, I realized that one was missing, but couldn't very well leave my wet dog to go ask. I also thought they might've stopped offering conditioner and maybe they just only had shampoo...When I mentioned it at the front desk, there was no apology or offer of a small discount. Instead, the person at the front said "well, if you would have told us, we probably would've given it to you." Not a huge deal, but it just bugged me the way she spoke to me.

However, the last 2 times I took…read moremy multipoo to Pet's Earth, once to Papillion and this time to Bennington, I've had a less than satisfactory experience. Both times I expressed my dissatisfaction after the groom and asked for assistance in fixing the problem. The time at Papillion they offered to groom him at a later date at no cost. I was not able to make it in due to a family move. Next, I took him to the Bennington location and, again, he came out looking like a first day groomer had groomed him. I took him back in today, a week later. The groomer was obviously not happy about having to fix him and said, she didn't have time to bathe him, (that I should have told them I wanted that!) what's more, she didn't really know what more she could do for him. When I asked if she really thought this looked like a dog who had just been groomed a week ago, she defiantly said yes. I was incredulous and tried explaining he was all choppy, he didn't even look like he'd been bathed the last time, nor had his ears been brushed out. The manager tried to be an intermediary, but ultimately took the groomer's side. At which point, I just shook my head and said I'm done and left. I have 4 standard poodles and a multipoo. I think a more courteous congenial attitude toward fixing the problem was in order before losing over $500 every 6 weeks to groom my crew! I was calm, explained what was wrong, and did not get angry. But I was frustrated and stupefied why they couldn't just shape him up and make him look fresh and well groomed. Something about her and her technique and demeanor made him relax. Bravo Addy! Also, we picked up a cool lavender pullover and the employees in the store took his picture and showered Otto with love and kept telling him how wonderful he is. We have to visit this Petco quite often because they are the only shop that carries our cats' food…read more(Science Diet) and is the closer location to our house. Aside from pet food, they also have a lot of other cat and dog goods - like treats, harnesses, carriers, scratchers, and little outfits (if your pet is one who will wear little clothes). Now can you get many of these things for WAY cheaper online via Chewy or Amazon? Yes, but you would have to wait for it to ship, and put things together yourself for items like cat trees. They also have actual animals for adoption in the shop, like fish and birds. My husband doesn't like to see that when they are in a small cage/tank (he doesn't like zoos either, to be honest). We signed up for the Petco Pals Rewards when we first started shopping there, and we have never been able to use the perks ONCE. Whoever signed us up must have entered my husband's email wrong so he cannot get into the app or account even to cancel it. So we are paying a monthly fee for nothing at this point... The staff is great here, though, and has tried to help us get this sorted out many times (to no avail though). But they do try to give us whatever perks they can when we shop there that we should be getting in the app. But we are supposed to be getting a free bag of cat food after a certain amount purchased that we are not. Bummer. Aside from the Pals Rewards that we are paying for and not able to use, and including the fact that it's the only spot we can get our specific cat food - I will keep shopping at Petco for the foreseeable future to please my kitties!
