I had stopped in for some inspiration for a baby shower gift. To my surprise, my inspiration stopped there and I ended up getting almost my whole gift there. They have a lovely assortment of clothes for small children that have adorable sayings on them. I was appreciative of the price since kiddos will end up getting food of some shape or form on them so the price of the items is the last concern. this used to be my go to TJ Maxx before the one near my house opened. It's definitely offers more as it's solely a TJ maxx so the clothing, especially mens, has more options. It's a sprawling space, with more room to move around. The purse and fine jewelry section is much bigger than others. Of course they're always on top of holiday decor, bags, paper, gifts and more. Perhaps it's because of the holidays but this TJ Maxx location is one of the cleanest and well organized compared to other TJ Maxx stores I have visited even in other stores. There wasn't a crazy rush for people to grab merchandise on sale compared to Target or Walmart sales during Black Friday or the holiday rush. It's very calm and this long indoor entrance is nice to travel from the main doors to the entrance. Overall, a nice visit to this discount store. read more

Eh...you could say it's the best, but also it's not. Don't get me wrong I love shopping at TJ Maxx because they have amazing deals on things you may not find anywhere else, but at what cost you may ask? Well, for starters, TJ Maxx is kept tidy enough to the point that it's not ridiculously un-shoppable. The clothes are on hangers and hung properly, but anything on shelves is just kinda thrown on them. But some of the items kept in boxes should be checked for before buying because they may have been removed from in there. Also, the men's selection is not always the best, yet every now and then there is something in there that I may find useful. Women's overpowers most of the store, so ladies I'm sure you'd find something in there. As for the home decor and suitcases, I usually end up looking at those products more because they are just so entertaining. If there was anything I would tell people to shop for here it would most likely be home decor more than anything. read more

Three of my favorite stores line Center from 132nd to 120th. TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory, and Marshall's. I'll give all of them 4/5 stars because I've found too many good deals at all of them to not. TJ Maxx is actually my favorite of the stores though in general. They have a great selection of men's activewear and clearance. You can usually find brands like Nike, Under Armour, or Adidas for absurdly cheap. I can usually find plenty of shirts I want from Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, or Perry Ellis, along with jeans from Lucky or Nautica. They have a jewlry section which is mostly women's but I have seen several watches I liked here for a decent price. I've seen some nice Citizen, Seiko, and Lacoste watches for cheap. They also have a very nice section in the back with kitchenware and glassware. I've seen a lot of great beer glass sets, tons of stuff for wine lovers and lots of shot glasses and drinking accessories. read more

First of all I must say Is that for some reason I always set off the Alarm at TJ Max, and Marshalls. I know they are owned by the same company ,I am just not sure why. One of the staff always chases me down and 99.9 % of the time I didn't buy anything , just went there to browse. I do not set the alarm off at Home goods though ( another company affiliated with TJ Max.. so who knows why?? On that note,, our TJ Max is always clean , except for the toy section which is to be expected with the children "playing" with the toys. I am glad to see some American Girl things their on occasion . I think the prices are "fair" but not really much cheaper then other places. They always seem to have a lot of stuff on clearance though which surprises me because it is always busy. Maybe it shows that the prices are a little high to begin with. read more

Shop here for all of your knock off and factory damaged clothing that is already out of style! This place just plain sucks. All of their name brand clothing has defects and have usually been out of style for couple of years or more. TJ Maxx is the absolute bottom of the barrel when it comes to trendy clothing. read more

I'm giving this Tj Maxx one star because I came to shop yesterday 05/23/2020 and had some issues. I know since the COVID-19 pandemic there's a lot of safety precautions and the way stores run are now way different from what us consumers are used too. While I waited in line to enter the store I got in with maybe 6-7 people in front of me in less than 5 minutes. I applaud the greeter for standing there and announcing loudly when we could come in. So as it became my turn to enter the greeter was held up by a customer who walked out the door and instantly the alarms sound. So she's helping this customer but assured me I can go in. I take maybe 10 steps into the store pick up a pair of glasses and I start walking when to the back of the store when an announcement comes on and says the registers are now closed. Please get your final items and head up front. I looked down at my phone and the time was 6:46pm and that was one minute of me walking into the store and was the first announcement I heard since walking in. So I grab a notebook and do just what the Tj Maxx associate asked. I head up front and the line is massive. I see a Tj Maxx associate standing in line and once I stand behind her she turns around and says "I'm sorry but I had to cut off the line" and I responded "huh?" and she said "the registers are closed now" while she's saying this a line behind me is forming and I see multiple people still shopping. I looked at her and said "so I'm unable to buy the items I have" and she said "correct" and turned away from me. So I set down my stuff and start walking out. I didn't put up a fight because I work in retail and I know how frustrating it can get with customers during this whole pandemic. My problem is how are you to let customers in to shop and they get there items head up front and you then tel them sorry you can't buy what you were shopping for?!?! I happened to have a friend with me to which he spoke up and said "why would you let us in the door if you weren't going to let us check out?" to which the associate reasoned saying "if I let you guys checkout then we wouldn't get through the line fast enough, we've been making announcements every 10 minutes" once again she turned her back to us after the statement. But truly why would associates let us in the store then tell us goodbye you can't buy anything? Most companies lock the door once the store is closed and everyone inside the building gets to checkout and then they let you out (this is at least what my company does and we associates will then walk the store and ask remaining shopping customers to head up front). But I do understand every business is different. I feel as though the one associate standing in line was rude and very unwillingly to help or explain. As I walked out of the store more and more people were walking in the store and I'm sure they were all clueless to the store being closed just like me. read more

I visited this location for the first time, and I can say I'm totally impressed! I walked in and was greeted right away by one of the managers, as I was looking at the clothing I was asked if I was doing fine by two different employees, and the gal in the dressing room (Nina, I believe someone called her) was so kind! Everything was well organized, except clothing section was a bit crammed and beauty area was a bit messy, but it might've been because of new merchandise. Anyways, when I was in line to check out there were about three cashiers, the line became longer in a short matter of time; they called for extra and two went up very quickly which was great. Liz did an outstanding job of ringing up all of my items in a timely manner and made sure everything was bagged carefully, and that my glass items were wrapped in paper. She was such a sweet heart, easy to have a conservation with, attentive, and efficient. Everyone up there seemed to get a long just great, and Fred was also very kind as he also made conversation as she was taking care of something for me. No complaints! read more

TJMaxx has been one of my favorite stores but after trying to return a defective product with my full receipt and matching tag this week that I purchased on 1/12/16 and basically accused of trying to rip them off by bringing a brand item back that the Manager Sue said is not even sold in their store, I will no longer be a customer. The item was a Margot Black Leather Double Zip Crossbody Bag which sells for $59.99 which is clearly on TJMaxx's website. Obviously, as a Manager, Sue needs to become more familiar with the products that are carried in the store. The zipper pulls came off after about 4 weeks and the silver color wore off of the metal and left if a pink color. It was mentioned that it was overly worn and didn't match the receipt. The materials that are used do wear out that fast because they are using cheaper materials. When I mentioned that I do not steal, she said , "I didn't say that." You surely did if you don't believe that is a product from your store! A Past Customer read more
