This is a nice mall, that is overall kept pretty clean, and surprisingly still traffic. They do a great job of keeping businesses in here! The interior is simple and nice, and stores are spaced out well. There are maps around, and escalators, elevators, and stairs they rarely get too crowded. There's a wide variety of shops, as well as restaurants within and surrounding the mall. If I had one complaint about West roads, I feel the flagships common area is very crowded. This is a little tricky to navigate in and out, depending on the time of day you come. But I do appreciate that they have so many options within this small space! If I was going to any mall in Omaha, it would almost always be Westroads. They do a much better job at selecting and retaining businesses! read more

We usually swing by Westroads Mall in Omaha to shop at VonMaur, but the Flagship Commons food hall there also draws us in--especially the food court. It's more of an elevated experience than your typical mall setup, with varied, chef-driven concepts in a nicely laid‑out open. Our routine pick is Amsterdam Falafel & Kabob--always solid. The falafel is crispy, flavorful, and fresh, and pairing it with curry fries hits the spot every time. On weekends, we've scoped out some other gems we're eager to try: the ramen shop Yoshi‑Ya is right there in the food hall and gets decent buzz for solid bowls in a casual mall setting. Then there's Clever Greens, which offers made‑to‑order salads and wraps with fresh ingredients--a great lighter option if you're balancing out something indulgent. There's also Juan Taco (sometimes shown as Juan Taco or just Juan), which brings food‑truck style tacos and sides like charro beans and green chile rice--very popular and consistently good Flagship Commons. Westroads Mall used to be the go-to spot for us back in middle and high school and I loved coming here. It's been a while since my last visit, and while I know indoor malls are becoming less popular, I feel like Westroads just isn't quite the same anymore. I will say that they still have some great name-brand stores like Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret and Vans, making it a convenient place for holiday shopping. However, some of the newer stores don't have the same appeal, and the overall atmosphere has changed a bit. The crowd can feel a little sketchy at times, especially after past events, and the reduced security presence makes me avoid coming here late at night. On the bright side, the food court still has a great variety, and that's something I love about this mall. it's one of the last few indoor malls in Omaha, and it has a uniqueness that makes it stand out despite the changes. read more

We have been taking our children on the Animal rides for 2 years now. It is nice, to see the rides are getting a fresh look. The new gentleman (his name slips my mind), working there is very professional, kind, and clean. The whole place seems cleaner, and the new staff, are very helpful and kind. It is the stores and attractions, like the animal rides, that make your mall very enjoyable and one of our favorite Saturday activities. This is one of the very few indoor malls still left in Omaha, NE. During the evenings, it could be a bit more dangerous to be shopping here due to the wrong crowd coming in to look for problems. Security was not present in the early hours here but the crowd was very sparse and parking was not an issues. The mall overall is well-maintained and clean. The restrooms are also well-maintained, especially near the food court. I do like how the food court is arranged, very classy and unlike other larger city malls in the States. read more

My 90's youth has made a comeback with my rediscovery of this wild concept known as an indoor mall. For many years I had given up on physically going places to buy things and bring them home. It was much easier to purchase online and wait for them to conveniently show up at my door No crowds, no dodging people with large shopping bags, no having to remember where you parked your car. A few months ago, I accidentally stepped back into the mall scene and wondered why I had given up on this concept so many years ago. Westroads has a great variety of stores, including department store giants like Von Maur (don't even get me started on the 0% interest credit card they offer) and JC Penney. There is something for everyone, even a free kids zone so the kiddos can get out some of that energy before embarking on a shopping excursion. Perhaps my favorite part of this particular mall is Flagship Commons, a food hall style concept that is anchored by Beer Blatt & Table which makes it possible to take a break from the shopping and have a refreshing alcoholic beverage. A movie theater rounds out this location but I haven't frequented that yet. The location is by far the best in Omaha and the fact that it's an "indoor" mall doesn't seem like such an archaic idea considering that we do live in a Nebraska climate. Don't get me wrong, I'd still be terrified to shop here during the craze of the holiday season, but walking around on a weekday evening or a lazy weekend day brings a sense of calmness. It's fun to window shop and maybe isn't so bad to try clothes on in person. It's becoming a habit again and I'm not mad about it. read more

I love this mall. The layout is a little confusing and finding an exit close to where you parked can be hard but it's definitely worth it. Every store we went to was reasonably priced and we will be going back there again. If you visit, make sure you take a picture of the map. read more

I love all of the fun stores and how big it is. The only reason why I give it 4 stars is that when you walk in you are basically asking for death. There are so many shootings and it is very unsafe here. Maybe if they could help with the security I would go more, but other than that I love this mall. The mall I live close to barely has any more shops open and the food court only has one good place. This mall is still thriving and I love all of the unique and different stores. A few years back I got my favorite shoes that I could not find anywhere else and I am thinking about going back. I also love how many varieties of food they have, I recommend going to Auntie Anne's. This mall is the biggest and best still open in Omaha and I recommend going if you are willing to risk your safety. read more

Well this place has certainly changed over the years. With the somewhat recent renovation it's more trendy looking and could compete visually with more upscale malls. That being said my husband and I noticed when we were walking around just how many unsavory types were hanging out. Very obvious gang members just hanging out near the escalators. They were unnerving to say the least. You also have the new eating area where I think every young tween was hanging out at the night we were there. I won't lie I miss the old food court and layout the mall had (although not super different now). Most of the stores are the same with some additions. Parking however is even worse of a nightmare now. Yes this mall is thriving unlike some malls which won't be named. Good for business, bad for parking. Overall it's not terrible but it's not my favorite. read more

I am an elder millennial and I still like malls. I like trying on stuff mainly. Anyway, I was very impressed to see how few vacant storefronts there are. The mall itself was very clean and relatively updated. Especially the food court area. It was lovely and so bright and inviting. I had a coffee but next time I'd definitely have lunch here. Not too much to say. Overall, a fairly average suburban shopping mall of the non-dying variety. I mean they just expanded their Forever 21 to two levels. That's pretty cool, right? This mall is pretty big, 3 floors of shopping and a wonderful food court. With a big Dicks store! Lots of parking. If you havnt tried Scooters coffee, there are 2 locations in the mall. Coffee is good and the peanut butter smoothie is wonderful. If you go before christmas, there is a snow globe to take family pictures in. read more

West roads mall this location have been around for many many years. But I can say it does remodel and add in new stores. I really don't like the new food area just because of the selection really. I do love how they added canes. But the mall is a great place to go shopping or just meet up with people. If you're in the Omaha area it is a mall to check out since we only have this one in Oakview Mall. read more

When I think of Westroads mall I think of three floors of nice stores and shiny floors... and oh that bottom floor devoted to games for kids and kids at heart. This mall is one of the nicer indoor malls in Omaha and it gets pretty crowded on weekends. Though the mall isn't that big I did end up getting lost here. The floors look similar and it took me awhile to figure out what floor the exit door was--and as I'm writing this I can't remember what floor it is. In any case, Westroads is a great all in one location mall. They have a theater, food court, Younkers, Von Maur, and Sears. All that you really need in a mall. I really enjoy going to the store, the afternoon, and Von Maur reminds me of Nordstrom, but a much smaller scale. Parking is pretty awesome here, there's a large parking lot and a structure as well as more restaurants along the side of the mall. Westroads is probably my favorite mall to visit, which isn't surprising considering just about every other mall in or around Omaha is either dead or being demolished at this point. There's also a lot of nostalgia that comes with this place which is another reason why I like to visit from time to time. While Westroads inevitably maintains it's spot as my favorite mall, COVID-19 has admittedly tainted my experience here; I haven't eaten at the Flagship Commons food hall since the outbreak became more widespread in 2019. Rather reluctant to eat there because of that... It is disappointing because I enjoy pretty much all of Yoshi-Ya Ramen's food, as well as some of Juan Taco's food. Another place I enjoy here is The Cookie Company which was formerly located at Oak View Mall's food court. I also enjoy looking through stores like JCPenney, Old Navy, & Suncoast Video - all of which have been here for as long as I can remember. There's also a lot of interesting stores here that I remember going to as a kid around 17-20+ years ago that are gone now like Warner Bros. Studio Store that was located where Buckle is now, the Disney Store that was located where Forever 21 on the 2nd floor is now, Tilt Arcade which was at the very bottom floor, Gap which unfortunately closed not too long ago, I also remember there being a Godiva Chocolate store as well as former anchor store "The Jones Store" (formerly located where Younkers was before they closed in 2018), and a Joe's Crab Shack location outside which is now vacant. I don't mind that the old food court was ditched for Flagship Commons (although I do miss the cool neon it had), but I think a place as boring as The Container Store shouldn't have taken the place of where the old food court used to be. The Container Store is in my opinion not worthy of being an anchor store; after all, who actually goes to a mall to buy containers? Who even thinks about going to a mall to do that? I wouldn't mind if it was one of the smaller indoor stores I suppose, but they just had to spoil the mall by making it one of the anchor stores - and now its an eyesore to look upon every time I drive near or to the Westroads. Hopefully something better will take it's place eventually. Also, it is good to see that the Westroads appears to be thriving. They always seem to be making updates, always staying modern and relevant. But I do worry that this mall will eventually suffer a fate similar to the other malls in this region. When Gap closed for example, they sealed off the store with a wall as if they don't expect anyone to ever have a store in that area ever again. Hopefully not every place that closes becomes like this & will hopefully become occupied by another name. But with how Westroads tends to stay on the ball when it comes to appealing to potential mall-shoppers - even during these crazy times, I'd say they'll definitely be around for a while longer. I recommend visiting, but stay safe in the process. read more

On a Monday morning, the store was somewhat busy. I had 3 different staff ask if they could help me find anything- which was nice. When it came time to check out, there was 1 cashier for both Victoris Secret and Pink. With 2 customers in front of myself and 3 on line behind me. It took 22 minutes to get to the cashier. The cashier was nice and apologetic for the long wait time. She seemed inexperienced and possibly new to her job. She called another staff over 3 times with questions on how to ring things up. One of the customers in line behind me, put their items down and left the store after they grew tired of waiting. My question is why were none of the staff using the other cash registers and checking people out? Hopefully coming into the holiday season, people who shop at this store will be able to shop and get checked out in a reasonable amount of time. read more

The only spots I got to tour were the nail shop inside and Von Maur's. I didn't really get to look anywhere else. Plus the snow covered everything up so I couldn't even tell you how it looks. What I did see I liked. This mall is huge! They also seemed to have a great, large selection of stores. My daughter took my to this very clean and modern indoor mall today and it was such a treat! In KC the malls are being leveled to make way for strip outdoor shopping complexes (think old downtowns before indoor malls, now made new again, full circle.) With Stranger Things 3 being set in and around a mall for most of this season I was especially missing and mourning the indoor malls. I wish we'd had more time to walk around and explore. Hopefully we can return next time I come to Omaha. This mall had a terrific food court with interesting restaurants with healthier choices than typical fast food fair. It was a beautiful atmosphere with cool lighting, a fireplace and a variety of seating. In a separate area, on the same level, they had a Raising Cane's which is one of my favorite places to eat though we didn't go today. We also stayed on level two and didn't get a chance to explore more. This place is pretty big! read more

Parking can be a bit of a challenge here; especially around the holidays. Inside the mall, it would be nice to have more store map kiosks for those who don't come here often enough to know where anything is. I find myself wandering aimlessly about trying to find the store I'm looking for. The rate that Omaha is expanding westward, the name should be changed to the Midtown Mall. The West Roads Mall is going through some remodeling and the work is being done at night after the mall is closed so it really does not affect shoppers during the day. I never have a problem finding what I need from the various stores and shops. Parking is abundant, and there is a Bus Transfer Station at the Mall so if you decide to take the bus you can get there pretty easily. Before Oakview was built West Roads Mall was "The Mall" that all the "Cool People" hung out at. I eagerly waiting for the remodeling to be completed. read more

An over-priced music store where only people who don't have access to the internet would ever pay three times retail value for terrible music selection. A Chinese place where the staff is trying to get you to try a sample of yesterday's entree. An accessories store where 13 year-old girls can get their ears pierced and shoplift hair ties. The least you can say about the Westroads Mall, is that it is a good place to rack up miles for my fitbit on a cold Omaha day. Thanks to years of playing Frogger I have learned how negotiate crowded streets/sidewalks, using some people to run interference around Sunday Shoppers, I had a couple setting the pace for me, but I lost them while typing this review.
