Until recently it was mostly shopping, and now of course you have the "been around forever" Wheatfields, another Popp eatery, Andres, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Red Mango, 801 Chophouse, and the belle of the ball, Trader Joes. It's funny to think most Omaha millennials might remember Trader Joes as the only Abercrombie and Fitch in town for awhile. How fitting it became another millennial destination! The parking is kind of a mess, it's very cramped and most parking is for TJ's. One bright spot is Zen Coffee has a drive through there so you can grab a delicious matcha latte before your weekly shopping. I'm glad to see new life and staples stay in this plaza.

I get my hair cut at Five Salon which specializes in Aveda products. Next door is L'Occitane which is a line of beauty products and fragrances from Provence in the South of France. Kinda pricey but it's the real deal. Fun just to look at their beautiful packaging. Last year I started buying dress pants for work at Talbots. Again, not cheap but high quality (and they have frequent sales). There's a Bath & Body Works, Sur la Table for high end kitchen ware, Wheatfield's and Andres Tortillery for dining options, and other small boutiques. Last but not least, I absolutely cannot visit One Pacific Place without stopping at Nothing Bundt Cakes and picking up a couple of bundtlets - one chocolate chocolate chip and one Flavor of the Month!! Truth be told, sometimes I make up an excuse to stop at One Pacific Place just to go there. :-)

The interior is simple and nice, and stores are spaced out well. There are maps around, and escalators, elevators, and stairs they rarely get too crowded. There's a wide variety of shops, as well as restaurants within and surrounding the mall. If I had one complaint about West roads, I feel the flagships common area is very crowded. This is a little tricky to navigate in and out, depending on the time of day you come. But I do appreciate that they have so many options within this small space! If I was going to any mall in Omaha, it would almost always be Westroads. They do a much better job at selecting and retaining businesses!

They've cycled through a few food vendors and projects, and I'm hoping it helps bring some real traffic through again. Overall, I'm hopeful for Oakview, you can see the effort, but it'll be tough to find its footing with Village Pointe, not far away, and the Westroads trending in the right direction.

They've managed to stay with the times, though their facade is very dated (but in a Stars Hollow way) with stores like the simple man, and made in omaha, to inkwell, mootz pizza, and timberwood bistro, there is a lot happening on any given day. Theres a lot stores that offer a variety of services and it's centrally located right off of 84th and pacific. There is also ample parking in their lots, and I am happy to see it continue to be a main stay.

Since the Bookworm relocated, I don't come here that often aside from trips to Le Quartier Bakery but there are many cute shops, restaurants and businesses here. The parking lot usually seems pretty full but it's possible some of that is overflow parking from Westside High School across the street when they have events. Pretty easy to get in and out and park close to your desired location. Their website said it was built in 1953 and was on the edge of town at that time. The prior commercial property management didn't address the panhandlers in the area to control…read moretheir loitering. The panhandlers had once loitered inside the marsh, leaving massive piles of trash, and unopened cans of food and other food and beverage items, all unopened. One man tried to clean up the mess by himself, and he was overwhelmed by the large amount of trash, which included disposed panhandling signs. The previous management ended up having to bring in a large pink hauling dumpster and it was filled past overflowing with the panhandlers' garbage. The panhandlers have since moved across the street to the other berm, and they have begun to leave behind trash and disposed panhandling signs behind the berm, and down by the drain. Sometimes the panhandlers leave personal trash on the berm just under the trees, in full view of passing traffic. I know the current commercial management, Lee and Associates have gotten calls to put up no loitering signs on the opposite berm and in the area close by the drain. They have yet to do anything to help curb the large amount of trash the panhandlers leave behind.

It's become more of a foodie area than what was once Crystals Closet, and other older stores. There is tons of parking, but the lot itself could be resurfaced. My son attended the martial arts place in the square and it was hard onthe tires to get there. If you're heading this way I would research some of the options in the plaza itself before going out the door.

This is a temporary vaccination site for Douglas County residents. The first visit was very…read moreunorganized and apparently the administrative staff recognized this because this time, the coordination and efficiency was greatly improved from 4 weeks prior. The wait time was cut in half from the doors opening on time to being seen at all staffed tables. The last visit, only half of the tables were operational due to the staffers not fully understanding the software system and how to access and input the data. There was none of that being heard or witnessed this morning. Hopefully, this site will funnel more residents through the doors in the next few months.
