Well, I can't figure out if this was due to the supply chain shortage or not enough workers stocking, but a lot of the shelves in the areas I was going for were empty. We get to the shoe department and there were a few other customers that were being helped. My wife grabbed two shoes that she wanted sizes for, I grabbed one, and the lady in front of us grabbed two. For the other customer, and my wife and I, they didn't have any of the sizes for any of the five pairs of shoes. Statistically speaking, there probably should have been at least one size that they had, but didn't. I thought this was kind of ridiculous. So its safe to say, that when I'm looking for shoes, I probably won't be going to JC Penney's.

When I told the cashier of this he made me feel extremely uncomfortable. He was being rude and made me feel as if was being an inconvenience as a customer. This is when I go to stock up on dog food, pill pockets, dentastix, treats, poop bags, and other supplies. I was there this past weekend and saved a lot - it was fun to watch the price shoot down after the coupon is applied. On another note, just when I thought that customer service was dead city-wide, my faith in humanity was restored by the young man who rang me out. He was personable and efficient and offered to carry my bags of dog food to my vehicle at the end of the transaction. With my bad knee, it was much appreciated.
