This was our first experience with grooming at pets earth, and we had a great one! My dog doesn't need grooming more than twice per year, but when he does, he needs about 10 lbs of hair removed. Since shedding season has just begun, we decided to take him in for a shed treatment and bath. We heard about this place from my sister-in-law who has taken her dogs there for nail trims. You have to call to make an appointment, but they're really flexible and I didn't have to wait more than a few days to get in. They also asked what my vet was so they could verify the rabies vaccination, which was nice that I didn't have to chase down his records myself. When we took him in, the front desk person was welcoming and help us get all checked in. They asked a few questions about his demeanor, and we assured them that he is mostly a chicken and the most difficult he'll be is he'll freeze up when he gets anxious. They called me about two hours later and he was ready to go. I had to get him within an hour of him finishing. When I got there, I paid first and then they brought him out. He had a super sweet bandanna on, and I could tell that they really worked hard on getting his undercoat out. We haven't had the best experience with de- shed treatments around town as he always comes to us just as hairy. I think some places think that they can get a few minutes of brushing and then call it good but this dude has like three layers of undercoat. You can tell the staff here really spent time on getting that out. Not to mention he smelled SO good. No wet dog smell here. We didn't use any other of their services or do any shopping, but it looks like they had a good selection of products. This isn't our closest local dog store so we probably wouldn't come to just shop but I would return for the grooming services. read more

We took him back to the place where we took it from , and it was clearly marked right there with the name of the item (black bear) and the price was $19.99. If I could give more stars, I would. Let me tell you about Tobey. Tobey's a year old sheepadoodle, and is an absolute lovable menace. He hates brushes. And baths. And grooming in general. No matter who does it. He's had issues at other groomers where I was told he thrashes around so much they were worried he'd hurt himself. He was practically ungroomable. Which is about the worst thing a sheepdog/poodle mix can be. Until I called Pets Earth. Taylor and Marnie are just about the two most kind, caring people I've ever met. I called with just general questions, trying desperately to find some relief for my poor boy. I was planning to take him to a vet and have him sedated to get shaved. It seemed like the only option. Who would be willing to work with a so often turned-away dog? Taylor convinced me "bring him in. We'll take a look and come up with a game plan." I went in fully expecting to hear "no way." Until they said the magic words "he's totally groomable" I wanted to cry. No one's believed in this dog, and here are two people who just spent 30 minutes of their time making sure he feels as comfortable as possible, willing to put in the work for him. They got him in, right then and there. As cheesy as it sounds, these women have performed a Christmas miracle, and I can genuinely say from the bottom of my heart I couldn't be more thankful. read more

We were looking for a new groomer because our groomer has a lot of crates when you walk in the door. Our dog was terrified to go there (we think it might have reminded him of the pound). We loved our groomer, but we decided to look for someone else. Pets Earth in Papillion got us in the same day I contacted them. You're walking into a store, so there are no crates in sight. Smokey not only wasn't frightened, shaking, and trying to leave, he was fine when I handed over his leash and calmly walked back to the grooming area with Isabella. I was told it usually took about 90 minutes to groom a dog, which was a lot longer than his usual groom time, but it was worth it. The price was reasonable, too! And I was able to pick up some treats when I came to get him, which Smokey appreciated. Smokey can't get his vaccinations anymore, so Isabella kept him away from the other dogs. When I told her he hated crates, she said they had a spare room. That made me feel secure in our decision to try Pets Earth. We will definitely be taking Smokey to Isabella from now on. He looks terrific, and we trust them to take good care of our furbaby. read more

Cool independent pet store in LaVista. They have dog and cat food and snacks, as well as some toys, apparels and treats. The self wash tubs and groomer services also make it a one stop shop for all your pet needs. I thought the selection here was good for brands and treats, but have found some items with better pricing at other local stores. Other independent stores here also have slightly larger selections. Overall, a nice store to have in the area so we can shop local and avoid big box stores. read more

This business is one of few in the area who groom large breed dogs so it took about a month to get in but it was worth the wait! Jacob was our groomer, he was very polite and listened to exactly what kind of haircuts I wanted. Took 3 hours per dog and was $100 per dog (50 lb and 60 lb Labradoodles.) There was a slight issue where one of our dogs scratched at a door to get out for only 4 minutes and irritated his nails and Jacob was honest about that which I really appreciated. Went here to get my pup groomed. Have to say they definitely took their time with him, and they said that he was one of the easiest most well behaved dog that they've groomed. With that in mind it was over $120... I do have a bernedoodle but he is less than 30 pounds and I really wasn't expecting it to be this much. Yay! I'm so happy they have a store like this out this way now! Pets Earth is a pet store that sells dog and cat items that are mostly grain free, natural products! Even some of their toys are made with natural products, like a ball made out of wool that is good to help clean your pets teeth! Pets Earth also sells many different types of pet treats, some are even made out of organic ingredients and all of the ones I looked at are made in the USA! Not only does this store sell pet food and pet treats, they also sell pet dietary supplements such as cranberry supplements that help with urinary tract, supplements that help with hips and joints, and many others that can help benefit your pets. Pets Earth opened for the first time today, but it seems as if they are going to be able to do pet grooming and it also looks like customers will be able to give their pets baths here. They have really nice bath tubs here with a little ladder to help your pet get into the tub! Pets Earth seems like it's going to be great, once they iron out the kinks as it was their first day open today. The owners are really really nice, helpful, and friendly. We went here for the first time to give our dogs a bath with the self wash station. The staff was friendly and I thought they had a good area for the self washes. You have the option to buy your own bottle of shampoo and then they give you conditioner. If you do this the price is $12 which I thought was reasonable. They returned my call to schedule promptly and are able to offer a wide variety of appointment times to accommodate any schedule. My dog, Poppy, sees Kelly and has looked beautiful and fluffy every time. I completely trust Kelly when it comes down to Poppy's grooming. Kelly has been extremely helpful on ways to ensure Poppy doesn't get many mats or tangles and the rest of the staff are always so friendly and helpful as well. They all love saying hi to Poppy and have great recommendations when we needed to change up her dog food. Recommend Kate & Jacob, or any of the groomers- I've used several of them. Jacob did a great job yesterday on my Newfoundland dog who had been sprayed by a skunk and I was unable to get rid of the last of the smell. She was also shaggy and needed a clean up and de-shed. This place is awesome! More over Petsmart in Bellevue that always has a long wait for grooming. This place has 3 self serve wash stations, where a wash is going to cost me $12(bring your own shampoo), $14 (basic wash), or special $16 (oatmeal shampoo, de shedding shampoo or aloe). All washes include: -shampoo and conditioner -a rubber nub brush -a deshedding tool/brush -a baby wipe (for the human) -towels -blow dryers -aprons for the washer (you) Pretty great deal in my book :) I got my dog washed/dried and grabbed a treat from their bakery all for under $20! They track your self serve washes so your 7th one is free in the computer, sweet! If you don't feel like hauling your pup down to wash yourself they also have two professional grooming rooms with groomers available if your more attracted to that. They have a lot of products that are all natural for food, toys, beds, leaches, etc. They also have a bakery with a ton of on site made treats. Also the have pet photograph, a whole room set aside for it. So all in all, this place is great! Self serve washes, professional pet grooming services, pet photography, products and a bakery. Really loved that all the staff was friendly, left me alone to wash my dog but did check on me once during the wash and went through how to use/do everything when I initially got there. My current groomer was booked through the Holidays. (My bad for not calling earlier) Had to get my dog in. They had a cancellation and were able to get her in. She had some matting and Isabella essentially shaved her rather than getting through the little there was. Just an absolute hack job. Made an excuse about her skin and her being an older dog. My current groomer (who incidentally was my groomer at Pets Earth before she went out on her own) does a very thoughtful, thorough, and professional job. Always looks great and thankfully has hair when I pick her up. Never again. read more

This was our first time using these folks for grooming. We waited almost a month from the time the appointment was made, to the time we got our dog in for grooming. They asked for a picture, and it was sent to them, so they had a base as to what we wanted her to look like. I went to pick her up, and to my surprise, she looked NOTHING like the picture we sent. I am not even sure they looked at it. They shaved her whole body, almost down to the skin!! She was not recognizable. Seriously! I did not say anything; for one, I was in shock. Secondly, there was nothing they could do about it. The "damage" was done. Someone else stated the front desk being unorganized. I agree. They seemed, for lack of a better word, frazzled. If I could give Pets Earth more than 5 stars I would! My Aussie Lilo is terrified of baths and I had taken her to another place where they had told me there was nothing they could do for me. So I called Pets Earth and explained the situation to them and they were so understanding and they offered to give it a try with her. Marnie and the staff really took their time with Lilo and did not give up on her. They got her to calm down in the bath and cleaned her up! They also don't kennel the dogs which I really liked. I took my 5 1/2 month old pwd to get his faced trimmed down and when I got there I asked for them to grind down his nails and trim his face. I've only been there 3 times and don't keep track of who does it, "previous groomer" has done such a great job. This time around was different groomer can't recall her name as I was waiting I over heard her raise her voice at my dog, then I told the cashier that's my dog cause I heard him whine. In my head I'm like this is a new experience he's def not very comfortable. The cashier then proceeds to go speak with the groomer and comes back and states " We will be charging a fee "$15" that they never disclose! My dog nipped at the groomer and I been working on it I could care less about the fee, don't raise your voice at my puppy, it's obviously something new for him and with the raising of the voice wouldn't make it any easier. Can't speak for the other things that they do but the dog washing is very nice. All of the stations are good and make washing the dog much easier than it is at home. There are also a good choice of shampoo packages on offer. Everything is provided for all steps of the dog washing process. Previously washing our dog has been a huge pain but due to how much easier this was we've started doing it fairly regularly at this location. My favorite specialty pet store in the metro area! I usually go there every other week for a bag of Fromm dog food. They also have a great selection of canned food, treats, toys, and other accessories. The do-it-yourself pet wash area is one of the best I have ever seen - very roomy, well lit and with everything you need. They also frequently have coupons for discounted supplies and grooming. I really like how they also partner with various dog rescue groups for adoption and fun events. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I love going to Pets Earth and highly recommend it. read more

Have used the self dog wash twice now and really like the place. Great and helpful people. They provide towels, shampoo and conditioner plus brush and face wipes. Our dog tangled with a skunk (skunk won stink contest, but lost his life) and they were helpful. By the way...hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and Dawn recipe from the internet works well. NO TOMATO JUICE, save it for Bloody Mary's. Fromm dog food is really good and priced right. Lots of great toys and baked treats. Nice addition to the neighborhood. read more

**TL;DR: Avoid. Deceptive business practices.** --- If you love your pet (which I would assume you do!), then there is no reason for you to be in this sketchy place. Here are some highlights from my visit: (1) I scheduled on 7:00 PM then on the same day I get a call asking me if I can move my appointment to 5:00 PM, I refused, and they say OK and hang up. I called later on 4:30 to verify my appointment, and they acted like I booked at 5:00 PM, but then changed it to 7:00 after I called out their nonsense. (2) I agreed to pay ~$70 for shaving, claws trimming and bath. But the groomer completely ignored the bath part and pretended that it finished her job because it was around the time of closing when she finished shaving. When I asked her about the bath, she anxiously responded that I might need to wait for an additional hour for the hair to dry, even though my cat was almost completely shaved! What warrants the one hour wait? I confronted her with that, and she got embarrassed and agreed to bath him, but then I told her it is OK not to bath him today because I considered the fact that she might want to go home as soon as she could. But this was not appreciated. (3) They ended up charging me ~$30 for removing matted hair, and when I was asking them for more information about how do they dictate when to charge more, the cashier became exceptionally rude and told me that he would call the police if I keep asking because they need to close! Even though I never suggest that I wouldn't pay during any part of our conversation. (4) After this rough treatment, I mentioned the fact that they didn't even bath my pet as they should. Here, the cashier told me that if I wanted my pet to be bathed, then I will have to pay extra money. Even though on the phone they clearly said to me that it is included with the shaving. (5) I asked them if the prices that were not mentioned to me before is at least mentioned somewhere on paper and whether they have any documentation indicating that this is the case. But I was told that it is a general practice for them that if the groomer was tired after shaving the pet, she could decide not to do the bath. In other word, you will pay for the bath (the service), and they will determine whether or not they are willing to do the service that you paid for depending on their subjective judgment. Even though when I asked the groomer about the shoer, she never mentioned that it is for extra money, she only said that it would take time. (6) My cat got several red spots all over his body, and he was stressed and freaked out the whole day. He didn't eat the entire day and is having a hard time using the litter-box. Even though I am used to shaving him once every year, but I have never seen him in this condition before. So I am planning to get him checked at a veterinary office soon if this concerning symptoms persist that has potentially resulted in from the mishandling of my pet cat. read more
