This is for the Lowe's on Valley View Parkway in Independence MO. Beth and Derrick at the service…read moredesk are amazing! We had a mower that had been recalled & the store on Sterling in K.C. Mo is where we purchased the mower. I contacted Kobalt and received a Return Authorization and was advised to take it back to Lowe's with this Auth #. We took it back to the K.C. Lowe's (along with the Auth#K) because the battery got stuck in the mower, they advised us that we had to contact Kobalt to get our refund. Lowe's said they couldn't reach Kobalt re: our Auth #. Took mower back home. Called Kobalt back-they suggested we try another Lowe's, stating Lowe's should refund our money so we went to the one on Valley View Pkwy. Beth and Derrick were so gracious and were able to figure out how to refund our money, since all Kobalt battery mowers have been recalled. It took them awhile to figure out how to get this done but they did. They were absolutely awesome. Best customer service we have had in years!! So, if you live in the K.C. or Independence area, you'll be much happier if you shop the store on Valley View Pkwy!!

I wish they had a kids workshop that went with it to possibly decorate a container to put in but I see they have one next week that we will attend. Their prices are reasonable and had a great deal on Blackstone grills yesterday. Service staff are always friendly and nice but not always sure on answers to questions but they are willing to help you find out the answers.

after making an online order and receiving confirmation of it being pulled and ready, I showed up…read moreto the store to pick it up and find one of the items incorrect. after taking it back into the store, I was told that they currently didn't have the correct item in stock ,me explaining that it showed three currently in stock at that store. at that point I was.informed that it was obviously a mistake. But they would get one ordered in for me in short term.. my explaining that I had a crew on the job site , waiting for the materials that had already been paid for, yet unable to deliver. Knowing that the crew would still have to be compensated for their time. I asked to speak to the manager to express my frustrations.. with zero compassion he proceeded to play on his PC for about five minutes to inform me that it was in fact, correct that they didn't have one in store, but if given a little bit of time, he could possibly find one in store. After waiting approximately 15-20 more minutes I requested that the full order just be returned. ,at this point, I was informed of the fact that the money that I had paid shopping online to purchase the materials that were in stock wouldn't be returned to me for five days. leaving me with the financial obligation of paying my crew a minimum of one hour of labor but having to send them home do to no materials and having to come out of pocket to pay for the materials that I had already paid for on a confirmed purchase from Menards. The store managers sarcasm, and lack of compassion is compounded by my financial loss due to Menards mistake. I'm not in search of full compensation of my loss, but the sarcasm was definitely not welcomed. I'm not that ever write reviews, but this was constituted.

I'm a "tree hugger/hippie" and carry several cloth bags in my car. I failed to grab them before entering the store. I, ahem, found more fabulous "needs" than were on my list and manato fill one of their nifty hand baskets. I explained that I had bags in my car and the women at the registers kindly permitted me to transport my purchases to my car, transfer to my own bags with the promise that I would return their hand basket.
