While asking questions about the product, it was discovered that the box for the item I wanted was not onto the shelf. The person assisting me answers some of my questions, however, they didn't have the answers for some of the most important ones and needed the box to provide that information. While the box was being located, I continued to shop. I didn't receive an update within a few minutes and saw how the workers were talking amongst themselves and looking a little goofy, I asked, "Did you find the box?!" They had not found it so I asked about the store hours and told them I'd be back tomorrow (which it today) to pick up my items. Well, I am here in the store now. I don't see any familiar faces and a sweet lady named Julia asked me is I needed assistance. I told her what I wanted and watched in the background as a conversation began between two employees who obviously knew what was going on with my particular situation. When Julia asked about the box, they had lost it and couldn't sell me what I needed, so now I'm dead in the water! Do better Ace Hardware!!

A young man put me on hold for 30 minutes and never came back to let me know if he had anything that would fit what I was looking for. He just never came back. Let me repeat: HE NEVER CAME BACK. I called back after 30 minutes and the lady who answered put me on hold, but came back within a few minutes to say: "He said that nothing we have fits." Why he left me hanging for 30 minutes was unacceptable.

Spent about 30-45 min walking around. The great customer service for assisting with the item I needed gave a lot of value to the store along with the item matching the price seen online. Only area for opportunity is the outdoor garden area. Definitely has seen better days. The order did come in the following week and instead of the store calling on Wed/Thu, I called on Friday to confirm. Jeff hunted the item down and I was able to pickup on Saturday. I'll keep this place in mind for hardware store needs as well as decoration/small housewares.

Because we had a large delivery of nearly $2,000 worth of items, we paid extra for delivery. After they dropped everything off and took off we realized that they pulled and delivered multiple incorrect items. The items were correct on the receipt, but they simply brought the wrong stuff. Everyone makes mistakes and if they had come out and made the exchange with the corrected items it would have been fine, but they refused. We really tried. We talked with the manager, the driver, the guys we placed the order with, but they would not come back out to replace. They made us go back in there to make the exchanges. We had to borrow a truck and get everything incorrectly dropped off loaded into the truck and make the journey ourselves to make the exchange. No one was happy about this on our end. We lost time and we lost money when the workers had nothing to do because Smith Supply dropped off the wrong materials. This is really poor business and we all decided it was our last time purchasing from this company for any of our future projects or needs. We did not find them honest nor anyone we would want to buy from again. There are too many great companies to buy from and this was a really negative experience for all of us.

They always show their Texas charm and helpful ways to complete a project. Not one time in twenty years have I got any lip from any of the employees for not knowing what I was needing for a job I wasn't sure I could even do. The owner Mr. Smith taught them well and must be keeping them happy too since they seem very content in their work. It is the #1 place I go to for hen scratch, plumbing supplies, fencing and look forward every spring for vegetable plants to mull over. In fact, some I asked other McCoys if they could order them, and they, which is weird. I know that with this, I will never have to replace another trough again. These have the water inlet coming in from the bottom so your water pipe is not exposed to the elements and it can't be damaged by the animals. I think these are well made and worth the money. Very long trip took most of the day. The manager was very helpful in getting everything I needed to get set up. I would come to this McCoy's again.

I'm really not sure what all of the areas separated by glass are for, and there wasn't anyone around to help. I was looking for something specific for my dog, but never could find an associate walking around in the store. There were no customers at the checkout counter so I was walking up to the girl there and she turned away and walked into the back. I thought that was kind of rude so I waited. But after a couple of minutes I gave up and left the store. I hate that is the only big pet store in town and I guess I will try some of the smaller locally owned ones.

She said she was the manager and would not sell me the fish. I've been doing business with Petco for 20 years but I will never walk through their doors again. I don't like being called a liar. I have deleted the Petco app from my phone. I strongly advise others to do the same.
