    Bonita enjoying the cat tower.

My wife and I we're going on vacation for 10 days out of country. We just rescued a six month old deaf kitten six weeks prior to this. We already have three adult cats in our home and we didn't feel comfortable leaving her alone with them and having someone check in on them. So we looked into Onion Creek Kennels. They had the best amenities that we found after checking with several other kennels, by far the best.Bonita our kitten was very well taken care of and was very happy there. My wife and I highly recommend Onion Creek Kennels to anyone.

So happy when he was leaving. He told all the staff goodbye and they gave him a cute bandana. Hank approves!

My dog seemed to love his stay here and it was very convenient. The staff was SUPER friendly. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is they are not flexible at all with pick up and drop off times. I had to have a friend drop my dog off. I asked if I could bring my dog a few hours early and pay half a night's stay and they said no :( I know...rules are rules, but darn... We have since added a new and slightly unstable dog to our pack so I don't think we'll be able to go back, but I would recommend them if you can make their pick up and drop off times work for you.

Sometimes I've boarded her, which usually causes her to be reluctant the next time we go for day care. Not at Pups and Pals! She is so excited every morning! The daily schedule allows for group play and indoor rest. The staff evaluates the dogs' personalities, size, and energy levels before putting them in a group. Playtime includes best friends, lots of cuddles and kisses, pools in the summer, and always playscapes. They go out anywhere between 6-8 times a day, with breaks in their air conditioned suites. The building is super nice, very new, and the play areas have K9 grass that keeps their paws nice and clean. I especially like that it is hosed every night. BTW there's a groomer onsite! Just a heads up -- it's hard to see the marquis from the 1st street entrance. You really need to know what you're looking for! April and I give Pups and Paws 4 paws up!

With not much notice, Nicole helped us out and had us covered for when we needed pet sitting. She asked all of the right questions, sent us photos every day of our babies (who we missed the entire time) and let us know (because we asked) when they were being cared for. I cannot tell you how much comfort it brought us to know that people like Nicole and her team were taking care of things while we took a whirlwind trip to get away on a Holiday week. I always say-you can't put a price tag on peace of mind but it's even better when that price tag is affordable and not breaking the bank for quality care! The price is extremely reasonable for the quality of care you get here. I'll never use anyone else and I can't recommend them enough! Seriously. Look no further!

Since he was little Mufasa has always had the same dog nanny to walk and play with him every weekday afternoon. My husband and I work long hours out of the house and believe allowing an animal to stay alone is unhealthy emotionally and physically for them. When we relocated from North Austin to South Austin, which is like moving to another city in most Austinities minds, we left behind Mufasa's dog nanny. THREE pet sitters later, all of who are on YELP, we found Capcity Pet Sitting. Capcity Pet Sitting has been a blessing to my peace of mind. I can tell when a person doesn't have the time to really put into caring for a dog and when a company is just in it for the transactional benefit. Will and Claire ENJOY taking care of our Mufasa and it shows in his attitude at the end of the day. Will and Claire always keep me updated on how the day went and any new behaviors I need to be aware of or keep an eye on. Mufasa is always played out by the time we get home and I know he's enjoyed his visit with Will and Claire. I hope we have the privilege of working with Capcity Pet Sitting for many years to come. I can't express enough how much we highly recommend them. Stephanie

I brought my 8 month old puppy to training there and a couple play days in preparation for boarding. I then decided to board her over Easter for a last-minute trip instead of leaving her home with my grown son. I booked her boarding on April 3rd for my trip starting on April 14th. My son was very upset about not being able to keep her so on April 10th while she was at a play day, I explained the situation to the kennel and asked if I could just put my $180 boarding deposit towards future play days and cancel the boarding as keeping my son happy was more important to me than boarding my puppy. Well, it turns out that April 5 was the deadline for cancellation. I know for a fact they were not full as I was able to choose her boarding area. The deadline was literally two days after I confirmed and paid the $180 deposit for her boarding, yet I don't remember anyone telling me about the deadline to cancel being two days later. It blows me away that with my unique circumstances, they refused to put my $180 towards future play days as I would've been bringing her there 2 to 3 times a month at $30 a day not to mention the training sessions I would have been booking. I booked it two days before the supposed deadline and a week later, I had to change my mind due to family issues. I was not asking for my money back. I just wanted to be able to use it somewhere else. Lastly please be aware that you are charged for all play days and training sessions when you book the date instead of the day of service. This doesn't seem right. They already have your credit card on file so there's no need to charge you ahead of time. That should be done after the training or play days are completed.

From the assessment: "Given clinical signs and history, suspect recurrent aspiration pneumonia, possibly secondary to vomiting (gastroenteritis, infectious/inflamm/toxin) or concurrent upper respiratory infection" "Has a history of bronchopneumonia after boarding at the same facility in June." This is directly from VCA Tanglewood Animal Hospital. Please see the attached photo of the record for full context. - This is the second time our dog is dangerously sick after visiting this daycare. The first time, we were genuinely concerned -- he was lethargic, vomiting bile, had severe diarrhea, and wouldn't eat. When we called the owner, we were told he probably just needed to "sleep it off", "take him to the vet if you want to waste money", and that he wasn't used to that much play. We trusted that explanation, thinking maybe he was just overwhelmed. We still spent the money to get him checked out. He ended up needing antibiotics and several days of care, and the vet told us that if we'd waited any longer, he would've needed extreme intervention. We still thought it wasn't the daycare's fault. This week, after just 8 hours back at the same daycare, he had the exact same symptoms. The vet concluded that was no coincidence. Whether it's poor sanitation, exposure to illness, or something else -- the odds are this facility made our dog sick. It's not worth the risk to your dog's life or the medical bills. We're devastated, and we wouldn't want anyone else to go through this.
