The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the dog-wash area was a mess. The tubs had no bottom grates and did not drain. They had no grooming loops so your dog wash area was just loose in the tub or on the table. It was an unsafe and unsanitary space. read more

I went in to buy a gun safe and was helped by Ethany. It was 10 minutes until the end of his shit and he said he would stay over to help me. He was kind enough to walk out to my SUV with me to double check that the safe would fit in the back. The measurements checked out so we went back into the store. He went to the back of the store to get the safe that was in stock and made sure that it was in perfect shape. He, along with Bron was in the back behind the store with the safe on a forklift when I pulled my SUV around to load the safe. They lowered the safe from the forklift and we proceeded to tilt it and push it into the back of my SUV. Well, it turns out our measurements were a bit off and the forklift attachments on the safe were protruding beyond my back door. They help me remove the safe from the back of my SUV, open it, and then fetched the tools so we could remove the four bolts that held on the forklift attachments. Once that was done, we put the cardboard box over the top of the safe and then reloaded it into the back of my SUV and this time it fit just perfectly. But the time this was all done, it was a half hour past the end of Ethany's shift. I want to command both Ethany and Bron for going way beyond their job requirements and helping me load that safe. I offered them a tip and they refused, saying it was just part of their job. It's rare these days to get such great service and I really do want to commend both of these men for making my experience with Tractor Supply company exceptional. I live somewhat close so I was using them for propane refills. However, more often than not, they are out of propane. Or, on several occasions I have taken my 100lb tank to fill, after calling to validate they had propane, only to arrive and find that they couldn't find their 100lb adapter. Recently placed an on-line order for another 40lb tank and was notified on a Monday evening that it was ready, while I was traveling, and then it was canceled due to no pick up on Wednesday. How are you only allowed two days to retrieve an order. Outside of this, they have nowhere near the customer service that Ace or local suppliers do. I ordered the same product from another vendor, for less $$ and free delivery. No more TSC for me unless there is absolutely no other option. read more

I called to see if there was someone working who could fill propane. Mind you there needs to be someone trained and certified to perform this task...hence why I called ahead of time. The person who answered the phone said "Yes there is someone working who was able to fill propane." I drive 25 minutes to get there and YES they do have someone to fill propane BUT failed to tell me they were OUT of propane. Seriously??? read more

I purchased a mower maintenance kit online and had it delivered to my small farm. When I got home that night expecting to work on the mower I found the kit was missing a spark plug. I called the next day and spoke with Noah. He was very helpful and verified the kit should have had 2 spark plugs and said I could return it for another kit. Since I ordered the kit for delivery I had an expectation a new plug would also be delivered. He checked with his manager and Kathy was quick to agree and setup to have an additional spark plug sent to me that day. Thank you Tractor Supply of Bartonville for having great customer service. Mistakes happen, things will be missing from orders, it is how companies handle those errors that set them apart. Why in the world does a business selling propane only have ONE person authorized to fill a tank??? We even called in advance to make sure an authorized person was working. Of course we show up during her shift and she's also the only one authorized to sell trailers too so there is a line of cars three deep waiting to fill up on propane while she sells a trailer. Ridiculous...been waiting here for 30 minutes now and this is the closest place in town to buy propane. read more

Didn't receive order. Didn't receive update regarding order. Called TSC to inquire about order, was told they have no information about the order other than it's still "pending" and was told there's no additional information they could provide me at this time. They said it appears to be coming from another vendor. Canceled the order. If you're going to run an online ecommerce service, ensure that your order fullfillment systems are integrated because this was very poorly managed and you lost an order and a customer. read more
