Went in because I was looking to start my own tank. No one came and said a word to us for over 10 mins. Walked right past us multiple times and didn't say a word. They only acknowledged their regulars. By the time the lady FINALLY asked us what we needed, she couldn't even answer our questions because she kept stopping to talk to her regulars. Really made us feel unwelcome and like we were interrupting her social time. Additionally, we pointed out one tank where one of the fish was being incessantly bullied and another tank with a dead fish, and all she goes is "hmm yep looks like it" and then walks back to the front and continues talking to her regulars. Absolutely no help and her lack of concern for the fish conditions makes me wary about purchasing anything from there. Ended up going to another store that had incredible service and I now have a wonderful set up. Would NOT recommend this place and certainly wouldn't ever spend a dime here out of principle. read more

*buyers beware* Why is it that every time fish are purchased here, even after being brought home and quarantined keep in mind, my tank breaks out in an absurd ich case. But other lfs stores I have zero problems with? Maybe it's because when you really get in and look at the fish you start to notice al the ich in the displays sometimes even velvet when it gets that bad. A couple of the staff members are really cool some of the others I would rather try to talk with a brick wall. (Probably have a more intelligent conversation with the wall). Never again. Never will recommend. I will drive farther and pay a little more just to avoid this place. read more

Vanessa and Mike are great people. Always great service and fair prices. They even went and rescued my reeftank when it was having issues while I was away on vacation. All the livestock I've bought has been healthy and I've never brought home anything that was sick or weak. Clean shop and display tanks, reliably solid inventory too. The staff at Glass Aquatics is highly knowledgable with all things aquarium, not to mention extremely friendly and helpful. The store has a great selection of freshwater and saltwater fishes. They also have a lot of saltwater corals, live rock, invertebrates, etc. I always try to support a local business over petco and petsmart. I have freshwater tank, that I've purchased most of the fish and all of the water from this location. 6 months later, I have still yet to loose a fish. The store sells pre-conditioned, pre-bacterialized water for an extremely resonable price by the gallon. The store also offers a variety of aquarium, moving, cleaning, and converting services for good prices. I make it a point to only use water from this store dor my tank. But only verbally offered assistance to the other patrons. I guess they assumed because we were black we weren't going to purchase anything! I just hired Glass Aquatics to begin maintaining our aquarium. I was pleased the moment I phoned them to speak to them about taking us on as new clients. I spoke to Jo & she was so friendly & spoke to me as if she already knew me. She made an incredible first impression. She took my information & said Vanessa would call me & told me when to expect the call. Vanessa called exactly when Jo said she would. I didn't have to call them back to say "someone was supposed to call me & I haven't heard from them." A time was set up for Vanessa to come discuss our needs so she could work up a proposal. I was impressed with Vanessa the moment I met her. First and foremost, she was punctual. That's a huge pet peeve. Arrive when you say you will. It was apparent from the beginning that she knows how to relate with people and she understands the importance of excellent customer service. I expect great customer service. They came on Friday & did a total makeover of our aquarium. It looks amazing! We are so happy with how Vanessa & Corey set it up & the look is exactly what we wanted. It's not often that the owner of a company does the major work themselves. Vanessa does! She knows how to ensure her business stays successful. She knows how to make her clients feel completely at ease & she knows her fishy's! She clearly takes pride in her company & their reputation. That's pretty hard to find these days. Needed fish to re-stock a small outdoor pond (600 gallons). Glass Aquatics had a nice variety of Koi as well as Orandas, and was happy to order some Shubunkins, as well. All the fish were healthy and happy. The store tanks are spotless and the employees are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Glad to find such a great store in my neighborhood. read more

Prices on corals are very high and they are not good quality frags at all. None of the corals are worth more than $25 at most but nothing is priced that low. They sell trash zoas which is against the law in most states. Really. If you see a fish that you like, go elsewhere to buy it and save a lot of $$$. They make promises to order things for you if they don't have something there in the store but they will never follow through on their promise and the excuses are really involved and detailed but it still means that they can not be counted on for any thing. If they don't have it in stock that day then you are lucky, go elsewhere and you will save a lot of $$$. They have such little business that they close the store whenever they feel like it, the hours on the door don't mean anything to them. The closer it is to the end of the day then the worse the odds will be that they will bother to stay open. None of them have any real fish knowledge, most of them admit when they don't know something but the owner will look you in the eye and lie to you in order to seem smart but a simple search on the internet proves that she lied. One of the employees is super rude, he is not from the USA, maybe they are all rude in his home village. The others are just very slow and have no real interest in their job. All that they want to do is sell you a big tank and make you sign them on for bloated prices to maintain the fish for you. The store is supposed to be because they are doing us all "a favor". This is what they really say on their website. If overcharging us all for the crummy attitudes and lack of knowledge and poor quality live stock is a "favor" then they are really doing us all a major big favor. Really. Went back last month to see if they had changed at all, and it was closed an hour before the door sign said that they closed. Nothing had changed. Really. Drove the hour back home and counted my self lucky. Never going to bother with them any more. read more
