I typically buy classic balsa wood flying aircraft models from these guys, and I really appreciate the day one of them took me into the storage side of the shop to show me the classics like Peck Polymers or the Midwest Gollywock (which I purchased). That day, Star Wars model kits was what I was after, and they had 'em. When you first walk in, to your left, the row is nothing but sci-if kits! Nerd heaven, and I wish I could have spent more time there but there were people waiting to get in.

Great selection too, t-shirts were on sale when I came in last week so I took advantage. I always love their One Piece merchandise. Great skincare products in the back at varying in price. Snacks and drinks are a little higher priced than I can find at a grocer in Chinatown. Always a fun place to shop! Can't miss the location on Broadway.

I was surprised by the ton of Sanrio plushies, dolls, stationary, and other paraphernalia, including food-related items. I knew Sanrio was making a come back, though it's like Hello Kitty central inside this store in particular. I've dropped by their locations to pick up a drink or snack since they are more reasonably priced than many cafes and convenience stores in the neighborhood, though their snack/food prices are a little higher than going to an Asian grocery. In general these type of stores there's not a lot of staff interaction though I will say this one had someone welcoming at the door. The reason for a slightly lower rating though is since there seems to be a proliferation of these stores that provide kinda useful things but really are close to single use and create a lot of unnecessary trash (I'm looking at you Five Below and fast fashion). These are easy and cheap conveniences and entertainment, though I question the environmental impact. Of course I'm not speaking from a place above reproach, I'm surely a contributor to this as well, it's just been on my mind recently.

The guys even yelled at me because I was trying to negotiate the price with them, but they were saying they don't even price it. They have a guy who they have to text to price the card. The service is already bad because they have nobody in store to check and they have to wait for somebody to check the price over the phone. I would not come here again because the store is also very dirty, messy, and unorganized. They have random Lego pieces, Bags, and other trash laying around the store, which makes it look very unprofessional. The people were also very nasty and mumbling stuff to each other and their language. We're not coming here again.

I especially like the comeback of this legendary brand in a modern form right in the city center. It's a place where you feel like a child again. This shop recently opened and still have their grand opening. The lady at the register was nice enough to chitchat and explained some of her wares. It was cool that she offers many Japanese trading cards (original) but we were looking for the English edition cards (they had none). There was a section not for sale but for looks with signs stating to speak to the owners regarding sales of that side. Odd. There were many cute plushies, stickers, figurines, wall posters and other merchandises. Took my time looking at each part of the shop. The wall posters were all the way in the back. The shop is a long narrow space with lots of lighting. Very cool spots for my fellow anime lovers.

I went back to the store less than 30 minutes later to exchange it, but the owner refused because the box had been opened. There was no sign or notice anywhere saying they don't accept returns on opened items, so I felt completely blindsided. The toy wasn't damaged or played with, and it could have easily been resealed. Instead of working with me, they were inflexible and dismissive. This is not how you treat customers, especially parents buying toys for kids. Very disappointing experience.
