First, she didn't know the price of the item I wanted to purchase, she said she only works there and that the owner wasn't available at the time, because SHE was at a funeral. Then she gave me a price, but she didn't allow me to inspect the item closely, she said it can't be taken down from the window before Christmas. I went there again after Christmas and she said it can only be discounted 20%, but again, she would not let me inspect it. At that time, she said, she is a manager of the store and that owners are three man, the lady who was at a funeral was also a manager, not an owner of the store. Today, the item I wanted to purchase was still displayed on the window, and she lied that it was already sold, refusing to sell it to me. She was very rude and told me to get out of HER STORE, stating that she is the owner. This person by the name of Christine should not be manager of anything! She can take her whole store to her own home, because we - the residents of Bay Ridge don't need her NASTY ATTITUDE and lies! I will file a lawsuit against the store, and if she is the real owner, she will have to answer in Court, if not, I urge the owners to fire her, or they will be responsible for her nasty and discriminatory attitude!

They have a much better selection!!! Also they have little gifties! Plates, napkins etc for birthday parties, like Hello Kitty !! My personal fave ;) They sell candles, incense, books and some funny gag gifts like gum with funny sayings or pins that say Brooklyn Princess.. Okay maybe the princess thing isn't really up my alley but it's still pretty cool! I will totally come and pick up some funny things for my friends upcoming birthday. You can get a coffee and a treat and sit in the back and just enjoy the beautiful greenery. You don't even feel like you're in the city anymore, this yard transports you to a different place and time. The people are so friendly, so customer service is also nice. I haven't been here for an event but I'm told they host yoga, chess game nights and Gay Ridge events. I plan on checking those out soon. In fact, I recently discovered the shop itself as they hosted an outdoor vinyl sale, inviting other local vendors and collectors to sell directly outside their shop. It was a fantastic event under any circumstances, but in these days in particular felt like an inspired and ideal way to celebrate and embrace a communal NY spirit. I walked away with a nice mug for myself, a couple of surprise early holidays gifts off my list and, of course, some interesting new and used vinyl.
