Love this location! They just set up for Halloween, so there are a lot of blind boxes for spooky season. I'm a sucker for blind boxes, but I restrained myself. The store is huge! Great selection too, t-shirts were on sale when I came in last week so I took advantage. I always love their One Piece merchandise. Great skincare products in the back at varying in price. Snacks and drinks are a little higher priced than I can find at a grocer in Chinatown. Always a fun place to shop! Can't miss the location on Broadway. read more

This is a huuuge Miniso, as far as their locations in the city are concerned. They carry Asian-themed toys, collectibles (a lot of blind boxes), bath and beauty, cutesy household items and serving ware, and Asian snacks and drinks. I was surprised by the ton of Sanrio plushies, dolls, stationary, and other paraphernalia, including food-related items. I knew Sanrio was making a come back, though it's like Hello Kitty central inside this store in particular. I've dropped by their locations to pick up a drink or snack since they are more reasonably priced than many cafes and convenience stores in the neighborhood, though their snack/food prices are a little higher than going to an Asian grocery. In general these type of stores there's not a lot of staff interaction though I will say this one had someone welcoming at the door. The reason for a slightly lower rating though is since there seems to be a proliferation of these stores that provide kinda useful things but really are close to single use and create a lot of unnecessary trash (I'm looking at you Five Below and fast fashion). These are easy and cheap conveniences and entertainment, though I question the environmental impact. Of course I'm not speaking from a place above reproach, I'm surely a contributor to this as well, it's just been on my mind recently. read more

Around the corner from the Sloomoo Institute, Mini So is a kid's dream. It's one room filled with toys, trinkets, and other little things children (and many adults) love. You can easily spend an hour looking at everything. Don't sleep on the stationary section and the Mini Brand wall. There's also a small arcade in the back with claw games. read more

Cute store with a lot of different types of things, leaning heavily on the toy and stuffies. It was occasionally challenging to determine what was on sale and what just happened to be put in the wrong place. The things that were on sale were heavily on sale and kind of pleasant surprise, like a heavily discounted Valentine's Day Stitch stuffie a week after the holiday. The prices overall overall were very good, especially on beauty supplies. There were a lot of Asian snacks to explore, with flavors that you don't normally see. Check out moved quickly. read more

This is such a cute shop, each time I pass by I can't resist going inside. They have a lot of Sanrio items as well as Harry Potter memorabilia/toys. They have lots of different toys, stuffed toys and makeup as well as specialty treats, cookies, chips etc. If you're in the Times Square area be prepared to end up purchasing because you just can't resist. On my last visit I got two different types of chocolate cookies, and they were delicious! Also purchased a flatware set (reusable spoon/fork) to use at work. read more

Cute little Miniso store in SoHo with a good amount of inventory and stock. They have a solid beauty section which I loved and also some blind boxes at the front, but not too many. There's usually a lot of staff working and it's easy to flag someone down. Everything is reasonably priced considering the city the store is in. Worth checking out if you're looking for specific Miniso items. read more

Came here on our way to a museum. It's not the big one we see on TikTok but it still had what we needed and wanted. We went straight to the Harry Potter section and had to look at everything they had. We found some goodies and they were having sales on other sections of the store. FYI: If you use points, you cannot return the items. read more

Great location. Right next to Times Square . Fantastic spot and kids liked this store . Walkable distance to Times Square .. there was some kind of construction going on outside but mostly neat and clean . Kids liked the toys and other stuff around this shop. I've been in this store a couple of times and there is always some kind of construction going on inside or outside which is noisy & unappealing. It gets very crowded and the staff is useless. They only had one register open on a Sunday when the store was packed. The line was outrageous and all I bought was a drink. The prices are inflated for basically what is cutesy tchotchkes. I'm giving two stars because I really liked the peach tea drink, but overall this place is a mess and I don't recommend patronizing this establishment. There are other locations in the city that might be a better experience. read more

This miniso is in SOHO and it literally has so much cute merchandise. It's a bit dangerous for my wallet every time I step in as there is so much cute plushies, kitchenware, stationary, beauty items, home goods, etc. they also have some Japanese snacks and drinks available for purchase so there's not much of a selection. They also recently came out with a bunch of Sanrio collab items which are adorable and also very reasonably priced with most items under $10. If you spend $30 they also give you a free token to play their claw machine but beware the claws are super weak so don't expect to walk away with a prize. Be prepared to be disappointed :( All in all, I will definitely be back to check out the shop again as they always have cute collaborations! read more

I stopped here on a visit to a museum and the plushies caught my eye so I decided to check it out. Super cute plushies, toys and figurines. I got myself a stuffed rabbit for 10 dollars and my sister got a plush for 13 dollars as well as a toy story themed nightlight for 10. There are sections for 10 dollars and under which was nice to get something affordable. People were also playing with their claw machines and I saw someone win a plush too! Wow this Miniso is huge. Back home in Vancouver Canada, Miniso is not even 1/4 of the size of this store. I had so much exploring the store. There were some great deals when we were here. For example: buy one shirt and get the second one free. I bought 4 undershirt for $14 Usd or around $3.50 each. We also had a lot of fun taking photos here. They have a giant Miniso signature bear in the store and a smily face monument/logo near the back. I believe this is their NYC flagship store. It is somewhat very busy inside. Everything is affordable and reasonably price without sacrificing on the quality. You can find things like cute stuff animals to home houseware. The store also advertise itself "$10 Under". read more

I love MINISO. Not much to say other than everything is super adorable and affordable! This is their NYC flagship store and it's big and well organized! They have 3 or 4 claw machines inside with many stuffed animal, home good, cute accessories, stationary, and just random cute things you might want! They sell bags based on the size of the bag you need from small-5c, medium-10c, and large-15c. I came here the day after the grand opening and it was still pretty full. It was a 15-20 minute wait to pay, but I got the cute stuffy I wanted! A pink rabbit to add to my collection! Super excited to see what they will have in store in the near future! They no longer sell oversized we bare bears in store! I have a large one and wanted to find another large one to go with it, but unfortunately they probably sold out during their pop up store. Nonetheless, I will be back! read more

This NYC flagship store is located in SoHo. It is about 15 minutes away from Canal Street (Chinatown). This place has a lot of cutie plushies in the store. They have household goods and consumer goods such as snacks, plushies, pillows, and toys. The other one I have been to is in Flushing. I do like the SoHo location since it is a slightly bigger store and has a selection compared to the Flushing. They are fully stocked as well for the most part. The prices are decent as well. Lots of Asian goodies and childhood memories especially with the Sanrio characters decorating the store. The bad thing about this place is that it can become overwhelming because of the many aisles and aisles of colorful goods in this store which can become a shopaholics dream. Luckily this place didn't make me go overboard because then I'll be broke! Store looks cute nonetheless and I got myself a hello kitty pillow which was $12 so that was affordable! I also got myself hello kitty crochets, badges, and a Mickey Mouse keychain for my daughter. There was a lot to look at. Many stuffed animals and lines of makeup! They got the Tony Moly makeup line which was pretty good. Too bad this store doesn't have cloth tote bags which was what I was hoping for. Instead they had red paper bag tote bags so they can break easily. This place isn't that big on food and snacks. I was trying to find green tea by Itoen but they didn't have it, just Dasani water and mostly Japanese soda. What's good about Miniso is that it has a membership program that allows you to earn reward points and apply it to other future purchases. read more

It's about the same selection of items compared to their Flushing branch. Lots of cute plushies and other random everyday items (pet accessories, car accessories, charging cables etc). First, you have a security guard telling customers to move up to the registers and then to move back which makes no sense if customers are already at the register. He wants to keep telling them to move back and forth when no registers are available. Making customers stand in the wrong place and have them skip the ones he told to move up and then gets upset when the customer gets upset with him. Don't tell customers to move back & forth while other are already at the register trying to check out. He should be at the door acting like he's checking bag which he's not and just makes a hole in the receipt. Fix the layout of the check out and have the cashiers move faster so the customers don't have to be all in a small area at the exit of the store. Mind you a customer was still grabbing things by the checkout area which is what the business needs and it wasn't even her turn to check out. Second, You have a cashier who wants to get out the register. To walk super slow to try to direct a line for nothing because at the speed she walks she took forever to get back to the register to charge me. Employees who don't want to work and want to be lazy shouldn't be working at a place with heavy foot traffic of customers. People want to be rug up and leave not have to deal with a slow cashier who can't move fast or a security guard who's job shouldn't even be to address any customer who's on line. The security guard also tried to have a customer pass me on line when I was next but no register was available. Again who's the security guard to tell anyone where to move. No register is available so why am I to move up to then miss my turn at the register that's open. No have a better system. If this location can't have a normal line like before then they shouldn't be telling customers to move up. The security guard should be watching the door and making sure people are not walking out with anything. Cashiers are working super slow which lead to the lines being long because they want to be chit chatting away. Customers are what keep a company going not unorganized workers. This is why alot o companies are closing lack of management doing the job that needs to be done. Don't bother coming here if you want to shop because this place is a ridiculous when you are at the check out read more

An Asian home goods store randomly passed by on a shopaholic Saturday. What drew me in were the giant plushies and kiddish throw pillows on the display windows. Along with the Miniso Penguin mascot. Plush heaven for sure. A range of Disney Tsum Tsums, Pokemon, BTS, Gudetama, and Hello Kitty souvenirs. This was your larger sized Japanese convenient store that sells makeup, home goods, decorative tools, and daily life accessories. Most of my pics displays Gudetama merch because the lazy egg was always a funny product to pick at. So many cute products and home development ideas. I even came here to get a personal pack of makeup products under the BTS logo. Everything here is reasonably priced. But what took me away was the Pokémon nanoblocks. A good selection and didn't price gouge me. Dangerously you can catch yourself spending lots of money here if you love to style your home. Just basic home goods if you love your decently budget sized cutesy products. Not the top quality goods but passable. read more

The employees in this store are so rude. There was not a single associate on the floor and I walked around for more than 5 minutes looking for somebody. When I finally found someone I asked if he could help me see if a product was in stock but he was very hesitant about moving and helping me. Eventually he walked over super slow. When I ask about if the product was stocked he just Said no and turn around to start walking away. I asked how much was it to begin with. he stopped and said $16 and kept walking. All the signs in the store say 10 and under so my assumption was that everything in the store was ten andunder. I asked that question "I thought everything was ten and under and he ignored my questions and then completely walked away. People are not friendly or helpful in this store. read more

Came here after seeing so much hype about Miniso on social media but left a little disappointed. The store is large and there's definitely a ton to browse - lots of household goodies, stationary, beauty/skincare products, snacks, accessories, toys, etc - there were even a few shelves of kpop merch lol, but there wasn't really anything that particularly caught my eye. To be honest, the plushies that Miniso seems to be famous for weren't as cute as I expected at this location. On April 4th 2023, my 14 year old daughter and 12 year old son were stopped on their way out of the store and my daughter was accused of shoplifting. She immediately produced the receipt that verified that she had bought the product she had been accused of stealing. The loss prevention officer continued to detain, accuse and harass her for 5 full minutes. He said the product was not listed on the receipt and that the "numbers did not match up." The other employees did not intervene or stand up for her even though they were well aware that she had purchased the item that he was accusing her of stealing and that she was a minor. In fact, he asked the cashier if my daughter had bought the item and she confirmed that my daughter had bought the item. Her younger brother was with her and witnessed the entire incident. They both were terrified and came back to the hotel room convinced that my daughter almost got arrested. They were traumatized by the harassment that my daughter endured. In fact, they did not leave the hotel room at all yesterday. I attempted to contact the MiniSo on April 4th but there was no way to reach them by phone or email. The next day, I physically went to the store. When I spoke to the manager, she told me that although she had not been there, she had "heard about what happened." Another staff person had told her about it because of how inappropriate the loss prevention officer's behavior was. I asked her why the staff had not intervened and stood up for an underage child that was being inappropriately accused of stealing. She said that "they are not allowed to get involved once loss prevention is talking to them." I am appalled and horrified that the staff at a store would not be willing to stand up for a child that is being harassed by any adult, let alone an adult that is employed by the company. Both of my children came back and told me that they thought my daughter "almost got arrested" and that they were "very scared." The product that the loss prevention officer stopped her for was worth $3.99. My daughter was accused, harassed and traumatized for a product that was worth $3.99. read more

Nice store and that's where it ends. Staff does not even understand basic city laws governing bait and switch practices. This your typical tourist store run by shady practices. In NYC it is illegal for you to put one price on an item and then decide to charge what you want for it at the register, there are no excuses as to why you put one price on an item and then charge something else you must sell it for the price listed on the item. Management at the store was rude did not care for what the law in NYC was in regards to bait and switch practices. Management is so bad in fact that when I told him to show me the price of the item he stated it was $15.99 I then showed him my receipt and it showed $19.99. So this store has 3 different prices for 1 item with of course the bait being a $9.99 price to lure you in. I purposefully bought the item just to make this review so tourists in the area know that this store is extremely shady and no different than your 3 card Monty dealer on a corner. Now just imagine how many people this store is tricking on a daily basis because they are purposefully tricking tourists who dont know the laws here. read more

I was in your 42nd street store on 12/14/23. It was my first time in your store. I happen to be on 42nd street. I was looking for my grandkids toys, whom don't live in NYC they live in California as I passed I saw some interesting things. I saw slippers for little girls I didn't know my granddaughter sizes so I brought a couple of socks I texted my daughter who is a TV show writer in California for my grandkids feet size. When I came the night security guard was so rude. I told him I was there earlier and purchased the socks because I had your bag he act as if I was coming to your store steal. I told him I was there earlier and he told me everyone says that he treated me as if I was going to take something from the store he pushed me out out of the store because I wouldn't give up my bag He didn't ask anyone else for there's and he just wanted me to leave it with not giving me a number or anything to prove he had my bag. If you're buying on promotion at this store, make sure you really, really want it because they will not refund or exchange your purchase. No where in the store did it say that the promotion would be final sale. You only get that on the receipt after your purchase hidden in the disclaimers below. Maybe a better shopper would know that all promotions mean final sales here. That's what the store manager alluded to. My promotion was to spend $40 to get $5 off. I could not figure out what was good for me. Maybe it is good if you like stuffed animals, but other than that, this store is more than double the price compared to Daiso (Japanese $2 store ), even though Daiso has more products and variety. Is it because of the location? I had heard that it was a Chinese store known in China, so I was looking forward to going in, but the Japanese and Korean snacks they sold were more expensive than those at Japanese food stores in NYC , and there were some Japanese imitation snacks, but most importantly, there was not much variety. I left without buying anything. Those who say this store is good don't know anything about Daiso? I am not a Daiso person, but I can't help comparing them. read more

I saw a video of a different Miniso location on Instagram and was so excited that there was one in NYC. The product assortment was just OK. I only bought a pair of Panda bear headphones that I wound up having to return. I may try to come back during an off-peak time in the future when their stock has hopefully been refreshed. read more
