Cons: Water was freezing(mid 60s). This may be also viewed as a pro as it felt really cooling after being in it but does take time to get used to. The kids in the group had a hard time venturing any further than knee height. Walk to and from parking lot/ bathroom was a little long. The sand can be a little pebbly.

It's a pretty quiet beach for the most part -- not too many people to be found. We found ourselves spending quite a bit time of here, in the early-late evening, and also in the morning. Let me say, the sky was beautiful, and nothing gets better than that. I noticed a couple of rock walls, at least at this location, and more going in each direction. Take caution, and don't get hurt. Enjoy and take every moment in. There is no lifeguard on duty at Sagamore Beach.

Beach Realty enforces the occupancy limit so if you are looking to rent a party house and cram a lot of people into it, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a house, large or small, to share with family and friends, it's a perfect area. Our home would be rented almost entirely by January, with high quality, well-vetted renters filling our home weekly for the entire summer. Their fee is relatively high but fair, considering they do all of the work and we never needed to interface in any way with our renters. They also were helpful with recommending local services as needed and made great suggestions to improve the overall desirability of our home for rental. I'd recommend going through Beach Realty for all rental needs. They are true professionals with a real pulse on the East Sandwich/upper Cape housing and rental market.
