He even dropped a discount code like a true Cape Cod MVP. The experience? Unreal. We paddled out to a private beach only accessible by boat--and it was to die for. Calm waters, untouched shoreline, and the kind of peace that makes you forget your inbox exists. I still can't believe people get to do this regularly. It was truly memorable, and Rideaway made it seamless. They also offer sunset tours and paddle board rentals, which we're already eyeing for next time. The staff? Lovely afternoon getaway during Fall. It was a nice and tranquil experience kayaking through a small river and seeing some beaches. I rented a kayak for two people for 6 hour and paid $75 before tax. I made the reservation online and the process was pretty seamless. A staff mentioned that they were fully booked throughout August and September but we were there innOctober which was off-peak so it was really quiet. read more

We were a group with two families. While we made the reservation onilne, the actual launch location is near the New Seabury Marina. Our guides were really nice and took the time to point out the wildlife in the river. The only annoying thing was the plane that kept flying over us, which was amusing the first few times, but after a dozen flybys, pretty annoying. Other than that, going up the river was pretty relaxing, especially when there was a breeze. For those who are bringing kids, we reserved a number of tandem kayaks and had to have one kid use a single. Unless you have very strong middle school kids, would recommend using the tandem. Had one mom and her elementary school age daughter needed a tow and her son, who was a very big 5th grader, also needed a tow. I really appreciated both guides taking care of that. read more

We took a beginners session to learn to stand-up paddle board--we were expecting a group, but it was just the two of us and an amazing instructor, so we had a lot of support. We came back later to rent paddle boards on our own and test what we learned and felt comfortable getting around independently. Great experience! read more

It was super easy to reserve a tandem and a single kayak so some friends could join us for a glorious afternoon on Popponesset Bay. The set up has changed a little from past years - we stopped by their main location on Shore Drive where they made sure our consent forms were all filled out - and where we picked up a cute and very affordable life-jacket for our four-legged kayaking companion. Then we followed their easy-to-follow directions over to the marina where we were met by a very friendly and respectful staff member who made sure we got the paddles and life jackets needed and then made sure we were all set with the boats across the way at the launch site. He even offered to help us unload our own boats, which was very kind. Everything was very clean and all staff were wearing masks, so it all felt very safe. One word of caution, if you bring any dogs with you, the sound side of the Bay is a bird sanctuary and dogs are not allowed over there. We saw a piping plover, which are nesting there, and it was really cool. Did NOT see any jellyfish this weekend, but in years past we've seen plenty of these. We were not disappointed to miss them! Rideaway was great. Highly recommended! read more

This company is great! I booked a private dinner and paddle board tour for my anniversary. Unfortunately, due to COVID, they were unable to offer this but due to a mixup it was still on their website. Mike, the owner, emailed me and offered to provide a private sunset tour at the less expensive group rate, even though he didn't have to. The day of the tour was so great! Our guide, Kali, was incredibly personable and knowledgeable about the area. She pointed out parts of the environment that I never would have noticed and we even had a lovely conversation about heirloom tomatoes! If you're looking for a paddle board or kayak tour, I highly recommend RideAway! We'll definitely book with them next time we're at The Cape! read more

We rented several kayaks and a standup paddle board for several days with delivery in Mashpee...and they maximized the drop-off and pickup windows to give us the most time with the equipment. Hands down one of the most beautiful places to kayak or paddleboard on the Cape. We did the "full moon tour" which started off with an amazing sunset and ended with paddling by gorgeous houses lit up with moonlight. It was seriously one of the coolest experiences ever. I visited the Mashpee location for the first time last summer. The rental process was smooth, the service was exceptionally friendly and the experience was relaxing. I rented a paddle board and went through out the canal right there at the launch. This is a true cape hidden gem experience and anyone coming from out of town should definitely add Ride Away Kayak Mashpee to their list of to do. read more

Paddleboarding with Rideaway Kayak was an awesome experience! I thought their Mashpee, MA location was a great place for beginners. We departed from the Popponesset marina and paddled to an area known as the "spit"...it was a beautiful sandy beach where we relaxed and had lunch. Mike was our tour guide and he did a wonderful job. He provided all of the boards, paddles, and life jackets including dropping the boards off at the shoreline...it made the excursion very easy. This is one of the most beautiful spots to paddleboard / kayak. You can do a loop, which brings you by gorgeous homes and a beach so you can stop and swim if you wish. I never wanted it to end! The entire RideAway team was SO great. I really cannot say enough about them. They were courteous, attentive and knowledgable - and such a fun group! This will definitely become a tradition when visiting the Mashpee area. read more
