Absokutely terrible!! Zero stars!! Went to the office to complain about bedbugs in our cabin, and they had my wife arrested for DUI, when she was neither drunk nor driving!!!! No resolution to the bedbug problem. No refund, just a soon to be lawsuit!!!! Anyone else have this issue?!?! read more

The managers are friendly and attentive. The grounds are nice and clean with plenty of areas to walk and enjoy nature. Great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close to everything. read more

Bourne Scenic Park - View of pond near tent sites - Parks Near Me - Bourne, Massachusetts

This park was centrally located but boy was it noisy! Traffic noisy! We were surrounded by busy roads night and day. Our site was level and had a picnic table and fire ring but we were packed in like sardines. Personally I wouldn't stay here again because I did not get a good nights sleep any of the 3 nights we were there. If you're gonna stay I highly recommend running your air conditioner constantly or bringing ear plugs! read more

Terrible customer service by the Mgr himsel, John Morroll. Rude, arrogant and no help whatsoeve. Holes & divets in our site & refused to allow maintenance to cover holes so we could back in our TT. Said "take it or leave it", of course after PIF for a week and no refund. We luckily had a small hoe and filled the large holes ourselves. Both sites and every other site we saw was absolutely flat and leveled but refused to fix the issue. Owners need to know how this employee is treating their paying customer. it's not a cheap place to rent, especially in the summer when 1 week is the minimum. read more

So 2 years ago during the pandemic we rented a rustic lodge and I complained about the closing off of the toilets and the closure of the pool. Here is an updated review. The staff is super friendly and courteous. This year our rustic lodge faces the Bourne Scenic Highway. On top of the we are located just down wind from the septic dumping station. So the noise and odors are as you can imagine! This is a newer rustic lodge having been built in the past year or two. Same setup as our previous rustic lodge with the locked bathroom inside meaning you have to get up and go to the nearest bathroom within a short walking distance. Also to be noted is that this group of lodges are stacked right on top of each other so you can know what your neighbors are doing at all times. It's great to come out of the outside shower and be looking at you neighbors next to or behind you doing the same thing. In the era of "Shrinkflation" it is to be noted that the televisions in this lodge are much smaller than in the one we had rented previously. Also noteworthy is that these lodges do not include rocking chairs on the deck like the one we rented in the past. Also to be noted the mattress on the queen size bed is so stiff I have woken with back pains every morning. Outdoor amenities include the pool being open this year. That's a plus. The inflatable bouncy on the canal facing playground unfortunately is not inflated this year. Which is a bummer since my son enjoyed that last time we were here. read more

We just had our fourth stay here and it was amazing! I only notch a star for noise, not noise in the campground it's simply from the location of the campground itself. It runs along a very busy road so really no matter where you are you hear constant traffic, horns and lots of sirens because the state police have a headquarters right over the bridge. You also hear bridge traffic too. But they can't really control all that jazz. As far as the staff and campground itself it's definitely TEN STARS from us!! We just had our huge family there visiting for the Fourth of July. We got not complaints about the amount of people we had staying for the day ( not that we were too loud but there was about 17 of us gathered in total ) the staff are amazing and accommodating! They actually care about every person there equally. The rest of the campers here are so welcoming and sweet as well. The store is good, a little overpriced but to be expected, but still good. Their ice cream is amazing. Love the live bands they have playing on Fridays or Saturdays. You can even book one of two event areas for birthdays or family celebrations. TONS of things to do on the campsite and around!! Our vacation that we booked for my husband and myself quickly became a true family vacation. We had many nights with two adult family members or friends and children staying as well. Guests of campers are treated with the most respect and care too!! Such an accommodating place and only $6 per visitor for day passes where you leave by 10:30pm or $12 per person to stay overnight where the visitor can stay until 10:30pm the day they are leaving ( as long as it's not your day to check out of course because checkout is at 11am ). Truly a great family campground though we only have nieces and nephews, there is endless things for them to do! They have tons of activities going on all the time too. Their wifi isn't stellar so we'd recommend a laptop or small DVD player and games for rainy days. Some reception way up in the park past the CX areas may be spotty as well so just be prepared for that. We have a tiny homemade camper that we've taken here 3 times this year alone and loved it every time. You're truly part of the family at BSP and we will always come back at least once a season to visit! read more

Here for our yearly visit. Absolutely love it here. Office staff is very helpful and pleasant. Place is spotless. Sitting beside the canal is unbelievable. The store has everything you need. The ice cream shop has a lot of flavors. Sad to see politics has invaded though. Two huge political banners at 2different campsites. Disgusted. Not sure why this is allowed. What a nice place to visit! I was greeted by a very nice person at the check in area. I received literature and a warm welcome to enter the park and even drive around first before I paid. After a view, I was more than happy to spend a small fee to stay as a fisherman where I parked to fish. Several other visitors came by to say hello and ask if the bass where biting. I hooked 17 bass in just a couple of hours, Wow! I could not wait to come back and perhaps camp on my next visit. This is a must visit if you stay on the Cape. read more

Bourne Scenic Park - Ready to ride the Cape Cod Canal. - Parks Near Me - Bourne, Massachusetts

We liked the cabin, which was great for sleeping and reading in the evening. The location is great, right next to the Cape Cod Canal and its bike path. There were two things that were not good. First, the internet access was spotty in the best hours, and completely nonexistent in the evening hours when most people wanted it. Second, the swimming pools. There are, theoretically, two of them. I say "theoretically", because the two were never open at the same time during our stay. They close for a wide variety of reasons, such as chemical imbalance, or poop in the water. It is probabilistically remarkable that at any one time, these problems occur in one pool (not zero and not two). The one that is not affected by those ills might open late or close early if the staff has other things to do. We had an ongoing guessing game about the next problem. So, you can decide whether the pluses or the minuses are more important for you. read more

I love Bourne Scenic Park! Hoping for a seasonal site this year!

This campground is perfect. Our site was walking distance to the Cape Cod Canal which was nice. The campsites are small, but well maintained, each with a fire ring and picnic table. It is animal friendly, however all they ask is that you pick up after your pups! Bathrooms are pretty clean considering they are basically outdoors. The unlimited free showers were definitely a perk, the water was always nice and hot. Daily campground activities were posted on the boards by each of the bathrooms. There are several playground areas for the kids. One of the newer play areas includes a jumpy pillow, and bocce pit as well. There are two chlorine pools with lifeguards on duty open daily until 7pm. There is a small store with an ice-cream parlor on the premise for camping necessities.Security drives by at all different times of the day and night. We had fires late into the night, sometimes even past 1am and they never bothered us. If anything, they always gave a friendly wave when they drove by our site. Love this park, can't wait to return! read more

Rented one of the rustic cabins for the week.Check In was quick.Cabin was clean.Also I called before I came and asked how many outlets in cabin and nobody was sure.I was told probably one and it turned out to be three.The cabin also had a sliding door that divided the room.Two lights in the cabin.One on ceiling near bunk beds and other over the individual bed.Storage is a built in wooden chest on floor near bigger bed.My only complaint is I was not told about the construction or trucks coming in and out behind our cabin dumping dirt piles.They also cut down tons of trees so the sun was right on our cabin and made it very hot. read more

Staff very nice. Stayed in the Rustic Lodge. Perfect accomodations for our two teenage girls. 30 mins to Hyannis. 7 mile bike path straight to a very clean beach. I see there are complaints about the noise of highway. The cabins are right next to the highway, I heard nothing. I cannot speak for the campsites. They looked fairly close together but this is a place to set up a base for local excursions, not an all inclusive campground. If you are looking for all amenities then go to a KOA or a Jellystone. The seasonal residents were very friendly. Would go back. read more

Stayed just one nite as the weather was calling for rain the 2nd. The staff are great, very accommodating and polite. Forgot my car charger and had a site without electricity. Asked the office if I could chg my phone "No Problem, we are here till 9 tonite" he said. Hubby didn't like the 1st site they put us in, so went right bk to the office, No problem, switched us to a much better site and credited our debt right away. Showers clean and free, a perk we are not used to. Our site was roomie and clean, and being allowed to have a fire was a real bonus. A big supply of ice for sale and bundles of firewood also at better than store prices.. Two pools , both clean but pretty crowded as it was a hot day. Great playground for the kids, and arcade with all the fun stuff the older kids like. I like the idea of guests only pay 5 bucks, again a perk the other place we have stayed charges double for. Another bonus was a great band played up till 10pm, and they were pretty good! I will definitely be back again and recommend to my other camping friends. read more

Stay away from this place!! Every year their prices go up, and the services they offer go down. The staff at the entrance gate is extremely rude and unprofessional. They're all on power trips and think that they're doing you a favor by letting you come into the park even though you're paying to get in and are the customer. We had been paying one price for a visitor pass all season long, and then they changed their prices near the end of the season but didn't post it. When we questioned the gate attended about it and said we'd been paying a different price he called us liars, then he said "Either pay it or get out!" Calls to management were never returned. If someone had calmly and maturely explained things to us when we asked I would not have had to write this post. Terrible staff. We'll never go back. read more

Picked a site we thought would be out of the way...surrounded by seasonals who thought they were at their vacation home..played music very loud til 9 ,we have 3 small dogs and did NOT appreciate the bit bull with the scary collar come over to my dogs growling and barking...had to leave early. read more

Aug 21-28, 2016 Clean facilities. Some sites are more spacious than others. Cute little country store, but not much in there. A few playgrounds to choose from. Kids loved those. WIFI is only at or near the office. The two pools are side by side. Nice but small. Lifeguards are aloof and tempermental. They scream at small children for accidentally touching the rope. They stare at phones, go inside for snacks, or take naps. They favor the regulars and ignore their rule breaking. I was most shocked when the lifeguard on saturday evening told families that they shouldn't come to the pool because the lifeguard wanted to make her dinner reservations. She left at 6:25pm ( pool closing time is 7pm.) We were still in the pool enclosure ( with kids)! She said, " have a good night," closed the gate and ran to a waiting car. The pool was not secured, more people were coming in for a swim, and she was long gone. read more
