Gorgeous beach that has free parking! Not very big sand area. A bit rocky. The swimming area is more ideal for kayaking. Great nature walk on other half of the beach area. Long "board walk"(narrow ) that has dedication on each and every wood plank that leads deep into the vibrant greens sea grass & water pools. Just standing there beats any mindfulness app. This was our last stop before heading back to our beloved NJ. Great way to end our Cape Cod vacation. An elite Yelper spotted this quaint project by elementary students. The image warmed our hearts. We decided to contribute and spent a few days at home in NJ creating a bunch of hand painted rocks with inspiration. We weren't sure where on the beach this sign was located. (To the left of the boardwalk)( and another was in front of church in Province Town)

It's a bit pebbly with more rocks in the sand than ideal, especially if you're walking barefoot, which we were. But because it's conveniently located with a short small path leading directly up to it, we went there. I loved that there are these enterprising people--'entrepreneurs' if you will--who rent out beach chairs and umbrellas for $20 an hour.

Absolutely stunning sunsets. Boardwalk gets busy in the summer. Small parking lot. A must on the cape

AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO! Gray's Beach On Cape Cod in Yarmouth Ma is a Beautiful Small Polar Opposite Beach. It contains 2 completely different contrasting landscapes - the Marshland & The Ocean all in 1 place. There is Free Parking with a limited amount of parking spaces. If you can't get in Uber or Lyft it. On one side there are green Marshes with an Intricate Roadway of Marshland carved out by Mother Nature & The ocean. We went at low tide & saw how deep the channels were & all the curves & winding turns the water made into the marshland. It is Truly Beautiful. The empty roadway of marshes fills up with ocean water at high tide for yet another stunning different view. There are wooden benches here to sit & take in the view. Then there is a long wooden quintessential Cape Cod Boardwalk that reaches over the Marshland. Wooden planks with people's name are engraved on each plank. Take a walk to the end of the Boardwalk for yet another different stunning view. There is a bench to sit on at the end there too. The water here is Sea Glass Green. Then travel back to the beginning & Hit the beach on the opposite side & do a little swimming or boating or paddle boarding. The water here on this side is Crystal Clear. Two completely opposite landscapes on one beach makes for some beautiful photos. It is also Gorgeous to watch the sun set here at night. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget .

    Low tide.

A stunning review of the Cape Cod bay that includes both marshland and beach scenery from one viewpoint. This is a great place to visit at any time of year. There is ample free parking and a newly renovated expansive boardwalk that allows you to soak in the views from any advantage point. While the beach is not expansive, there is still ample space to sit and enjoy the water. Great place for a quiet retreat, launch a kayak, or to bring children to play in the estuaries. Beautiful sunsets and memories to be made here!

Pretty boardwalk for sunset pictures. A bit crowded once you get to the end. People standing around waiting for the sun to go down. Beach was small. Bring bugspray!!! The bugs were awful walking on the boardwalk

This beach is really interesting - there's a cute bridge dock to walk out to, the tide comes in and the water is a little warm, and for the more adventurous - swimmers can swim out or get in a boat and paddle out. The beach closer to the ocean is filled with seashells, gulls, and lots of open space.

When the sky is clear, head down to the beach parking lot; brings chairs and nibbles. Enjoy a spectacular moonrise.

It was about a 20 min walk (or 2 minute drive) from our cottage and free to get on to, which is unheard of in Jersey! You do have to pay for parking ($30 on weekends and $20 on weekdays) so that, plus the walk being the only form of exercise we all got for 7 days straight, was all the motivation we needed for skipping the car. The water was nearly dead still all week, no garbage anywhere and lifeguards were on duty most of the time. They made sure to clear the water when any sign of a storm was coming in and left us alone the rest of the time. One of my friends was terrified of sharks so she was a beach bum the whole time while me and my other friend would hang out in the water at least half the day. Sure, it was cold, but it was also SO hot on the sand, so super cold water was welcomed. I loved loved loved how not crowded this beach was. Again, coming from Jersey beaches, it's unheard of!! But we had so much room from other people and never felt like we were too close. A great place for a beach day (or week)!

He had invited friends and family down, we had discussed it and felt safe and comfortable with going. I rarely go to the beach, my fair skin, even with all the sunblock, ends up burning. However I try to go at least once a year for a swim, be it the ocean or a lake. The water, super refreshing on a hot summer day! Being about 60-something degrees, it was a shock at first, but then easily adapted to the temperature. The water was opaque from the seaweed being agitated, it was nice how deep the water got. However, 'Jaws' scared the crap out of me as a kid so I felt a little uneasy since it is not a harbor or bay, but just jutting along the open ocean on the outside portion of the Cape. So being in water where the seafloor drops off, in opaque water, made me a little anxious. The only good thing is knowing there are no seals nearby (sharks are attracted to areas with them, and attacks happen in less then 3 feet of water). Oh did I mention a tip is to not swim in murky water? Anyways, now that I have you paranoid about swimming here, the beach is beautiful and plenty of open space, and life gaurds are present.
