$30 to park. It well worth it. Such a gorgeous beach! Snack shack and restrooms nearby so it's really convenient especially with kids. Might be hard to find a spot if you get there late especially at high tide so get there early. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous, shallow, sandy beach with crystal clear water. $30 to park for the day in July 2024. There are bathroom facilities and a snack shack but we didn't use either so can't speak to the quality. We came here twice, the first time was on an overcast Friday afternoon and it was very easy to park without any crowds. But upon our return on a sunny Sunday morning the parking lot was already full by 9:30 am! There was a line of cars waiting to park and they were turning people away. Make sure to get there as soon as the beach opens in order to secure a spot on a weekend morning!

My favorite beach on the Cape. It has showers, bathrooms, snack bar and is handicap accessible. The beach is sandy and soft. Everyone always talks about low tide and how beautiful it is (it is) so I included a pic of what it looks like at high tide instead. It is like getting two beaches in one. High tide is a quick walk to clear water, albeit rocky the first 8-10 feet in. There are gentle waves and, once you get past the rocks, the sand is soft and the water is still not very deep. It never got over my waist walking out. Once the tide starts going out, you have tiny tide pools and this is great for skim boarding or wading. There are some tiny fish and hermit crabs but this beach is not nearly as abundant as Chapin beach. There are plenty of sandbars to walk out on and enjoy the clear water and low waves. Tip: if you want to see this beach get here before 9 for parking.

Gorgeous beach. Small parking lot so get there early or you will be turned away if the lot is full. High tide makes finding a space on the beach very difficult but once the tide goes out, prepare to move your stuff where ever you want. Don't be shy to move it's worth it! Since it is on the bay side, the tide will uncover miles of beautiful soft pillow sand and along with small warm tidal pools to enjoy. Make a day of it! It's worth it to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

The beach!

I read an article that this beach was the best beach on Cape Cod. I could believe that that's true even though I didn't go to any other beaches! This beach was really wonderful for our family. It was clean, it had a great snack shack, and really nice bathrooms for a beach! It was cool how the tide went out during the day and how shall the water was. My kids really loved walking out as far as they possibly could. I would say it does get quite busy during the summertime, and that parking lot filled up quickly. So we ended up parking somewhere else and then having to walk quite a ways to get to the beach. So if you are planning to go to the speech, I would recommend going very early and making sure you can get a spot. The food at the snack shack tastes good but is rather pricey for what you get. So be prepared! Parking as of summer of 2022 was $30 for a car. I believe it was cash only, so be prepared! We had to go find an ATM and then we're out of luck on getting a parking spot!

Great beach for the sunset! Free to park in the evenings. Bring sandwiches from the Dennis public market. Yum!

One of the best beaches in the USA. Soft white sand beach with gentle lapping waves perfect for families. The tide goes out far and makes for tidal pools and shallow rivers perfectly suited for itty bitty kids to play in. There are lifeguards, restrooms, showers and a snack shack that also sells sand toys. The parking is pricey snd if you get there after 8am you're lucky to get a parking spot. This is my happy place.

Probably my favorite beach on the lower beach. Lot of parking and very affordable. They also have a concession stand

Go early! This beach gets really crowded quickly. It's a pretty beach. All families. Good for little kids (under 5-6). My son is 8 and was pretty bored bc there are no waves to play in. Positives...snack shack (lots of options but not cheap but what is!!?!), public restrooms and outdoor shower/foot wash to remove sand before you get in the car. Drawbacks... lots of kids and crying kids. I get it, kids cry. I have one too. If you're an adult looking to relax this might not be for you. Also heard two people talking about peeing in the water or letting their kids do it. I know it happens but I don't want to hear a stranger saying they're doing it. In the end, great place for families with little kids. Ps...if your kid hates sand and won't touch their feet in it, the beach probably isn't the place for you!

One of the best beaches in the Cape... at least I think so considering it's my first time here and I usually go to Crane's Beach. The water is warm and the sand smooth. I absolutely love it. The beach house is so clean but it's just a bunch of bathroom stalls. If you want to shower there's an outdoor shared one. There's a snack house. I think it's one of the nicest beaches near Massachusetts. Parking on weekends is $30.

Sunset around 7:30pm in August

Favorite beach on the Cape! Go in the late afternoon for no fee and try to go at low tide for the best beach walk ever.

A whole week in Cape Cod and this is the only beach we went to. It was kind of just way too…read moreperfect! It was about a 20 min walk (or 2 minute drive) from our cottage and free to get on to, which is unheard of in Jersey! You do have to pay for parking ($30 on weekends and $20 on weekdays) so that, plus the walk being the only form of exercise we all got for 7 days straight, was all the motivation we needed for skipping the car. The water was nearly dead still all week, no garbage anywhere and lifeguards were on duty most of the time. They made sure to clear the water when any sign of a storm was coming in and left us alone the rest of the time. One of my friends was terrified of sharks so she was a beach bum the whole time while me and my other friend would hang out in the water at least half the day. Sure, it was cold, but it was also SO hot on the sand, so super cold water was welcomed. I loved loved loved how not crowded this beach was. Again, coming from Jersey beaches, it's unheard of!! But we had so much room from other people and never felt like we were too close. A great place for a beach day (or week)!

He had invited friends and family down, we had discussed it and felt safe and comfortable with going. I rarely go to the beach, my fair skin, even with all the sunblock, ends up burning. However I try to go at least once a year for a swim, be it the ocean or a lake. The water, super refreshing on a hot summer day! Being about 60-something degrees, it was a shock at first, but then easily adapted to the temperature. The water was opaque from the seaweed being agitated, it was nice how deep the water got. However, 'Jaws' scared the crap out of me as a kid so I felt a little uneasy since it is not a harbor or bay, but just jutting along the open ocean on the outside portion of the Cape. So being in water where the seafloor drops off, in opaque water, made me a little anxious. The only good thing is knowing there are no seals nearby (sharks are attracted to areas with them, and attacks happen in less then 3 feet of water). Oh did I mention a tip is to not swim in murky water? Anyways, now that I have you paranoid about swimming here, the beach is beautiful and plenty of open space, and life gaurds are present.

It has a snack bar. It has clean restrooms. Keep an eye on the parking attendants! We were waiting so my husband walked in and took a look to find 3 open spots. So if you are waiting maybe scout the lot to ensure there are no open ones. It was crowded when we got here, but by 2 the crowds significantly died down! The tide went out and the kids were able to go out even further! We enjoyed this beach and it was a good option after we were turned away from our first 2-3 beach choices.

We did make an occasional trip to other beaches such as Grays, Veterans (our first time trying that one), and Vernon's St beach. Our 4 year old met new friends each and every time here, the bathrooms were clean, the snack bar had frozen slushies and other treats. Low tide is fun and there's always lot of hermit crabs to catch. We were very impressed with our visit here, even with the price still being $30- but if you can also buy a weekly pass for $90 if you're planning on coming everyday which makes it worth it. This is definitely our go-to beach when visiting! See you next year Corporation :)
