Misleading advertising. They told me it a free installation, then they charged me a $25.95 balancing charge and a $7.50 valve stem reconditioning fee. So installation was not free, it was really a $33.45 cost for installation. I got a tire from tire warehouse a week earlier for the same vehicle and they did not charge these additional fees with their free installation. I would stay away from Town Fair Tire. read more

Me and my family have been coming here for years. Always a nice staff and quick service. I have purchased wheels and tires from them before and have had alignments done. Highly recommend getting wheels and tires from them and no where else. I purchased a set from fitment industry's and they are so nice and they guarantee fitment but i have ordered 2 times from there and both times they messed up so never again. (they sent me unbalanced wheels when they say they will mount and balance as part of the package) There customer service is atrocious. So go to this Town Fair and Get everything done here they are the best and they are very careful and knowledgeable. Don't sacrifice quality make sure you come to the best. He has been so helpful to me over the years that even if I could save money getting tires from another shop, such as Costco, I prefer to take my business to this Town Fair location. I do not make a habit of posting poor reviews for a company on a public website but I felt I needed to do that for Town Fair Tire. I was visiting Norwalk and needed to replace all 4 tires on my car and decided to give this company a try. When I picked up the car I asked the salesman to confirm that the wheels had all been balanced (in addition to the alignment that I had also paid for) and I was assured that they were. When I took the car on the highway the significant steering wheel vibration made it clear that the wheels had not been balanced, and I had to pay my local garage (which confirmed that the balancing on all 4 wheels was WAY off) to balance the wheels properly. This was very disappointing and I will not use Town Fair Tire again. read more

I have always had very reliable, friendly and courteous treatment and overall experiences up until now. The employees have all turned over and what used to be a very friendly crew, now seems bothered and not nearly as detail oriented. Five stars in my book. I came here right at closing, and they fit me in to fix my tire, which had a nail in it. The staff went out of their way to help me, without me even asking. They saved me since I had plans to leave early the next morning for a long drive and didn't want to be delayed. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly, and they kept me up-to-date on the status of my vehicle. Yesterday, the day before a long trip, I discovered a bulge in a front tire. I appeared at Norwalk Town Fair an hour before closing time. Marvin informed me that there was a 3 1/2 hour wait. I left the car overnight, with a request that they replace all four tires (they were overdue anyway), and told Marvin I needed the car on the road by noon today. He said he'd try. I called at 8:15 this morning, and the car was already DONE!!! No fuss, no battle, no jumping the line, or having to be 'the squeaky wheel' - just a nice, competent, and thoughtful service technician going the extra yard for a long-time customer. FANTASTIC!!! I brought my car in on 12/3/19 due to a flat tire. Was told that it was unrepairable by the technician. Ok that's fine. Front desk employee ordered a new tire for me to be installed the following day (today; 12/4/19). Received a call today stating that the wrong tire was delivered (rim size was off by 1 inch) and that he would have to reorder the correct tire for installation tomorrow. I understand that mistakes happen, but what a huge inconvenience. I need my car for work, and it's not great that I'll be driving around on a spare for a second straight day, due to an error by someone at Town Fair. Hopefully I'll be compensated for their error, either by adjusting the price (that I prepaid yesterday) or by offering me a free tire warranty. If yes to either of those, I'll amend my rating to reflect that. The store manager, Justin, and sales associate, Demetrius, gave me a discount on the tire and also threw in a road hazard warranty for my troubles. Great customer service. read more

Justin and Chris were fantastic! They were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and fast to fix my tire's problem. I was in Norwalk, on a work trip, from out of town, and with a nail in my tire. They evaluated the tire quickly, and completed the recommended fix fast as well. Really nice guys, professional and very easy to work with. It's interesting that this Town Fair Tire location has so many bad Yelp reviews, yet so many positive Google reviews. But I trusted the more recent and plentiful Google reviews and was very happy all-around with the level of service and quality of the workmanship I got at this TFT Norwalk location. Their price was $100 cheaper than the local body shop that I got a quote from, and about the same as the Tire Rack price per tire, without having to deal with the uncertainty and scheduling headaches of a 3rd party tire installer with Tire Rack. I made an appointment for 4days later and got my quote all through TFT's website, which they honored to the penny. Eric the sales associate that helped me was very professional and knowledgeable. I'm the type of guy that over-analyzes everything and did extensive online research trying to find the best performing ultra high performance all-season tire for the best price. Eric gave me a further education on tire wear and answered all my annoying questions like a pro. He even gave me a pro-tip to keep my wheel lock in my glove compartment box for easy access so it wouldn't get lost in my trunk with my spare. Plus also gave me a thorough answer to my question that their wheel alignment wasn't as thorough as another shop that had a higher alignment price. The short answer is that they have the same wheel alignment technology. It was a busy Saturday morning and my 4-tire change, balance and 4 wheel alignment was done in about an hour. I live in the area and they are now my go-to shop for anything tire related. I'm even considering getting a dedicated set of snow tires being that both my wife and I spend over an hour driving in our daily commute. This was my 2nd time at the Town Fair Tire. Last time was a drop in and had to wait about three hours for a flat tire work. This time, I made an appointment so I won't have to wait. When I made the appointment over the phone, I explained that I needed to be in and out due to work, and was told that they do their best to get the car out ASAP and that the cars are usually out within the appointment 30 minute slot. That is not what happened. I brought the car in on time but the car went into the shop 1 hour later (I waited at the shop and checked). Simple flat tire due to a nail took 45 minutes. My baby daughter was hysterical. To be fair, the employees there are friendly and professional but they should do better. What is the point of making an appointment when your car is being treated like a drop in... I don't think I will ever bring any of our cars there and I would not recommend this place. Called and placed an order for tires and was given an "out the door" price and made an appointment to get them installed the next day. When I came in they hadn't gotten the tires, but they didn't make any effort to let me know before I came in. I needed snow tires for the next day so going elsewhere wasn't an option. They gave me a discount on other tires but it still ended up being almost $100 more expensive. They also told me I wouldn't need an alignment when I did, an extra $60. Turns out they don't answer their own phones even during business hours, it goes to a call center where they make claims the actual business can't deliver on. I ended up getting my car back 1.5 hours later than they had said. I was supposed to keep my old tires but they threw them in the old tire pile and it took an extra half hour beyond that. All together it took twice as long as they originally said it would. Some of the employees were nice and helpful but others were short l-tempered and borderline rude. I won't be coming back. UPDATE: The weekend after posting my original review I was contacted by Town Fair Tire and they offered to refund me the difference between the tires I ordered and the ones I ended up buying, a little over $100. They also offered to take back the tires I got and give me the ones I initially ordered if I wanted. While this doesn't negate the bad experience at least they reached out to make it right. Then again they probably wouldn't have done that if I hadn't given a negative review. Still, I'm upgrading them to 3 stars for doing the right thing. I'd consider coming back if their price is much better than anywhere else. read more

This is the first review I have ever written but the mistake that was made is so inexcusable that I couldn't help but write a review. Two weeks ago I ordered 4 new fairly expensive tires. Several times before the install appointment I confirmed with the store that the tires were ordered and now in the store. When I showed up for the appointment they advised me that the wrong size tire was ordered and the correct size would have to ordered and new appointment set up. Eric quoted something more than Tire Rack and when asked about it he said once I factor in shipping from TR, Town Fair prices are competitive; couldn't argue that, not to mention the tires I wanted were in stock and they could get me in and out in the same day. Interactions over the phone and in the shop were great, Eric was very helpful, and he followed up with a call to verify my appointment as he says he would. In fact I still arrived late. It seemed like a quiet Tuesday for them and all but one bay was in use. I got my car in around 4:30 (for a 4:00 appointment), went back to work, came back before they closed at 6 and my car was parked outside waiting for pickup. Brought car there to fix flat tire and rotate tires. The salesman said they inspected the tire and assured me that nothing was wrong with it probably just a problem with the beading and that it was safe to drive on after they put it back on. They just put air back in the tire and it put back on my car without being fixed, causing to go flat within hours and never rotated the tires at all (although they did charge me for putting the tire back on the car). When I returned again the next day, there was a puncture in the tire and they told me that they could not fix it because it did not have enough tread, but he would give me a "deal" on 2 new tires. If it's not because someone had a good manner, I would only give 2 stars. I always come here for my tier problems and I always happy about the results. The wait is always long, always about 2 hours which is fine for me. But today I waited for 4 hours and still doesn't have my car yet!!! I came in about 12:30pm and was told the wait will be 3 hours to 3 and half hours which i agreed with. By 4pm, I came back and sat in the waiting area. I was expecting another 30 mins tops to have my car ready. By 5:30 pm, my car still not ready. Then I walked to the back where my car was parked and notice it is still sitting there untouched!!!! That's already 5 hours wait!!!! I still don't have my car yet!!!! I understand they are having a busy day but at least let the customers know there is a delay! Don't let people just hanging there!!! Also, I guess they are intentional leave my car the last because it's a free service. If that's true, that is very unprofessional!!
