Don't even think about going anywhere else. Trustworthy, quick and quality service, fully transparent costs, and appropriately responsive.

"Do the right thing"…read more I have dealt with Midas in Fairfield, Ct for well over 20 years. In that time I have never had a complaint. As a matter of fact, I have seen them go above board to satisfy customers. I have also dealt with NAPA Auto Parts for a number of years. Rarely have I had a problem, and when I did, they were always quick with a resolution. These two are NOT part of the nightmare I was placed into by a major auto dealership. Both #Midas and #Napa proved to go beyond expectations and deserve your business for it. My neighbor works at the dealership and offered to get me a steering gear box for my van at her cost, which was very nice of her. They didn't have the part so they ordered one from NAPA. When it was delivered to the dealership, I was notified and had my wife go down to the Parts Department and pay for it. I had Midas install the part because they have an extremely competent mechanic that has been working on my vehicle for as long as he has been employed there. There has never been an issue with installation of any kind. After receiving my van back, I drove no more than 30 miles before the gearbox secondary seal blew out while I was driving home with my family. It was near impossible to get it back to my house. It was there, in my driveway, that I discovered my power steering fluid all over my van and dripping onto the driveway. Midas confirmed the problem and notified me I would be liable for the labor to reinstall the part since the part was defective, not the installation of the part. And so I called the dealership I purchased the part from that guaranteed replacement. And here is where the nightmare begins. I called the parts department at the dealership and got into a pissing contest so I asked that my issue get escalated. I was told it would be. Hours later, nothing. So I filled out an online request form and received an email from an employee higher up the ladder. I told her of my problem and she suggested I speak to their Service Manager. I responded I would rather it be kept in house without any more of my involvement since it was already hostile with the parts department. The dealership said they would give me a new part but they would not replace it for free because they didn't install it. I can understand if there was a question of installation. By me or someone incapable of mechanics and not in the possession of a certificate from UTI or some other qualified school. The dealership also argued that since it came from NAPA, it was their responsibility. I sent another email to the higher-up, explaining my reasons as to why the dealership should assume liability and replace the part since the labor itself was 3.5 hours long. Quite expensive. She responded that I would be receiving a phone call the next day to resolve the problem. The next day, after some telephone tag, I was told by a Parts Manager in a very offensive way, that I was to call NAPA and speak to their representative as they were going to assume responsibility and pay for the labor. To which I was happy to call about. But once I did, I found some unpleasantness perpetrated by the dealership against my own character. NAPA was told by the dealership that, firstly, I purchased the part through my neighbor and NOT the dealership, so they weren't liable for anything but NAPA was. And then to top it off...they told the Representative from NAPA that I threatened to take the dealership to Small Claims Court!! I informed NAPA of the dealership's indiscretions as well as applauding NAPA for stepping up to the plate. All I really wanted was for the Dealership to do the right thing. All they wanted to do was the opposite. Bad mouth me and my neighbor and liable my good character. Presently, my van is being worked on, thanks to the good graces of Midas and NAPA. They made the effort to do the right thing regardless of what their actual liabilities were. It shows INTEGRITY in a company when they perform in manners like this. It shows Customer Worth when they act like this. Company behavior like this should be applauded and recognized in a world where too many businesses believe they are the special ones. #Midas #Midas Mufflers #Napa #Napa Auto Parts #Integrity #Do The Right Thing

I mentioned a faint smell of antifreeze and I told them which they should already kjnow this car has a close looped Antifreeze system. They said they would put a $25 liquid in to look for an plus leaks which I was fine with. I go to pick up my car and Derek presents me a bill for $992.97. I tell him thats not what I was quoted. He says he doesn't know , mumbles something about mechanic time and the guy I spoke to is at lunch. You want me to wait? My wife has dropped me off and Im stuck so I pay the bill. Multiple times since that they have texted me to see how the car is running and Ive asked them to address this issue. RADIO SILENCE. Its a shame that you would burn a 10 year relationship over $300. Reading the other negative reviews it seems this is the way they run their business. Obviously I will no longer be a customer. I found them through a friends referral and that's how businesses like this grow. They've forgotten this and now Ive gone back to my network and have two more referrals. Really really dumb ownership at this place . Two new foreign car repair shops Ive been referred to but havent used yet . https://helmutsfcs.com/ and A&F Mohegan in Shelton

I have poured hundreds of dollars into mechanical work that didn't need to be done (including a new transmission!) and work that somehow needed to be done AFTER the car had been worked on. Once, upon realizing that I was being duped, I called the garage to say I would be picking up my car and no longer needed their service. I was told that it would be impossible as the car was completely taken apart and they were leaving for the day. That evening, a friend drove me over with an extra key. My car was plainly visible and wholly intact, in their parking lot. Naturally, I drove it off their lot and never used them again, but so disheartened to think that an honest garage might not exist in the area. Until, at the referral of a (single, female) friend, I discovered Euro Automotive, and I will never go anywhere else ever again! From day one, my feelings of doubt and mistrust were dispelled by the kindness, attentiveness and quiet confidence of Joe, the owner. The site is impeccably clean and organized, but more importantly, the service is thorough, fast and and the costs are fair and extremely reasonably. Moreover, on several occasions when I had to stop in unexpectedly with issues such as loose bumpers or software problems, they were resolved while I waited and at times, not even charged. I remain a very satisfied customer of Euro Automotive, tried and true!

Hell froze over... I found an honest mechanic. I know, I know, I can't believe it either. So check…read morethis out... About a month ago our car battery died. We called AAA to give us a jump, and they ended up telling us the battery was pretty much shot, we needed a new one. They hooked up the new battery, and when they turned the car on, no radio. Just dead silence. There was power coming into the head unit, everything appeared to work, there was just no sound coming out to the speakers. By this point, the AAA guy had left. Great, now what. We called AAA back, they sent another guy out who couldn't figure it out either. It was a fiasco. So we filed a claim with AAA. AAA tells us to take it to a car audio place to get a diagnostic done and submit the claim (but no guarantee they would cover the costs). So we know they're pretty much going to find a way to blame us, and any event, we prepped to be paying out of pocket. We took it to 2 audio places, and they both concluded it was a blown amp... something about when they connected the battery, it blew the amp. Anyway, estimate averaged about $600. $600, and no guarantee that we'd be reimbursed... really sucks. So about a month later we come across Penfields. My wife decides "what the hell, we got nothing to lose". Enter Bob. Bob says "I don't think it's your amp." What's that Bob? Do tell... Bob thinks it's a problem when they connected the battery, and wants to "reboot" the radio. He disconnects the battery, reconnects it, turns the car on with a reset to the radio and POOF, radio works. Best part is, Bob tells my wife "you don't owe me anything... I'm just here to help people". My father always used to say "Son, there's only 2 people that any man can't live without.... A good tailor, and an good, honest auto mechanic." I'm still looking for my tailor, but at least I found Bob.
