I went to Fetzer, and Howie took great care of me and came in under $1550 and the tires are higher quality than BMW issued tires, AND they buffed the scratch out of my right bumper for free. I can't thank them enough for helping me out. As a single woman, it's hard to deal with car stuff; it's intimidating b/c I don't know anything about cars. Lastly, it doesn't smell bad inside the office area like the other place in town--I don't want to say anything bad about the other place b/c they are always good to me, but the tire smell is noxious--not at Fetzer. Few weeks ago I went to Fetzer Tire in Southport . I asked the counter man how much is a rotation…read moreand balancing ,for my car. He said $85 . A few days later I made an appointment to get the rotation and balancing done . I go in at 8:00 AM the owners son asked me if he can help me so I say yes I'm here for a rotation and balance . He fills out the work order . I tell the employee who takes the car in don't bother with checking the tire pressure I've already done that. The cars done I pay about $89 with tax and leave . A day or two later I see a valve stem cover missing from the passenger side front tire . Maybe it fell off, not likely but possible . I go around the car and check the other 3 valve stem covers to find all three had to be tightened 1 1/2 turns to snug then up . I buy 4 new matching covers on Amazon for almost $6 , no big deal. About a week goes by and the service tire monitor light goes on , it happens . Sept 29, 2013 I go to Fetzer Tire and tell the owners son my experience , he had no reaction . He says we only balanced your tires . I said I asked for rotation and balancing he pulls the work order and it states balancing only . I'm mystified after asking or telling 3 employees rotation and balancing the rotation wasn't done .Its standard procedure to do both at the same time especially when you have the tires off the car already .I say lets get beyond this its not that important lets get on to fixing the tire monitor how much to put in a new tire pressure monitor . Howie says $125 . Asked if I need an appointment he said no just come in . I said OK. No I'm sorry for the misunderstanding , no here's $5 for the new valve stem cover . On the way home I'm asking myself do I really want to go back there since I got not even I'm sorry , maybe not . The only thing I got was the monitor is $125 each not for all four. I had the tire pressure monitor done today Sept 30, 2026 of $75 , so one call and I saved $50 and have more confidence in the new tier shop I tried today .
