    I have been a customer to this location for 12 years. I brought my car in for a new set of tires and emission test. my car was there all day and was damaged while on the property. Sad to report that the manager denied any liability and offered no help. That's how I was treated as a long-term customer. My mind is blown and will not come back. This was a $3000 insurance claim with a $500 deductible come on Firestone!

    Firestone Kings Highway worked on my wife's car for a fuel line issue. They had our car for 12 days. They installed the wrong parts, at least twice, by their own account. They would not release the vehicle to me before service was completed, when in frustration, I said I would just take it to an actual Mazda dealership. Why? Because, they said it might catch fire. When they finally did release it to me, it did exactly what they predicted. Within 24 hours and less than 45 miles later, my wife's car was engulfed in flames, 15 seconds after we luckily were able to flee from it. I can still feel the flames on my ankles. We almost died! This Firestone center still had the audacity to bill us for the work done, even after they knew that our car had caught on fire the day prior. That is bad business. I expect that money to be refunded. It was their inept service and subsequent negligence, that created this issue. Whoever oversees or signs off on such work, is also at fault. I hope the mechanic was at least retrained, if not fired. Not only have the not refunded the money, they haven't compensated us for our losses due to their negligence. We now have to take the time & expense to get a lawyer to try and retrieve some compensation. If you have fuel line issue, don't bring it here.

    I usually am not a fan off chains as I find the people to be extremely pushy and there is always a "gotcha clause" and attempts to upsell when performing service. However this location I felt the sales folks were pretty straight forward, they shared additional services but were not pushy and performed the job as described. I was visiting this place to get my own tires that I had bought elsewhere to be installed. I had called around and I felt their prices were extremely fair and they seemed the most welcoming too. The place itself is extremely clean and spacious. It seemed extremely busy too which was a good sign and while waiting outside I had a nice conversation with the technician working on my car and he came across honest, knew what he was talking about and shared his impression about the tires I was getting installed. The wait turned out to be longer than shared, but it was a gorgeous day in winter so I did not mind waiting outside and conversing with the technician, who this review is mainly for.

    Well I had the car towed by aaa I asked them to take the tire off. The wheel lock is missing so the car was in the garage although there is horrible communication. I was sitting over an hour and they called my cell... why would they call my cell if I already communicated I was there. The manager said his name was Bob. He had a horrible attitude. I hope corporate sees this review becAuse he is very rude... I'm not impressed which is exactly why I bought my actual tire somewhere else.

    Dubious marketing from corporate. I googled "Alignments near me" and it offered me a got a $60 off coupon offer, so I clicked the link and got delivered to a $20 off coupon. Hmmmm, if they are going to do this online, what can I expect in the store?

    Employee in the recirculating air without a mask for about 15 minutes now. Awesome.

    We had a very good vehicle service experience at Take 5 Stratford. We had two vehicles serviced -…read moreone GM full size van, and a Honda sedan - and we were very pleased and impressed with the experience. They are a LOT more reasonable price-wise on oil changes and the associated service items, as compared to car dealerships, by around a factor of 3x, which is remarkable. I'd say they are pretty comparable price-wise to the other places that specialize in basic service items such as oil changes, but they come in at around 1/3 the price of dealerships - which is unbelievable but true. It's a very clean and pleasant facility. They give you several choices of the grade of oil you want to buy, and explain them clearly - although the price signage could be a little more clear.     After my daughter's oil change, her car started leaking oil. We brought it back and within five…read moreminutes we were told everything had been checked, everything was fine, and the car was safe to drive. Unfortunately, because the car wasn't parked in one place for very long, we had no idea it was still leaking. It wasn't until the car sat in our driveway for three days that we discovered it was continuing to leak oil. By then, she had already driven the vehicle all the way from Connecticut to North Carolina with the leak. Brand-new driveway covered with a big oil stains. We took the car to our local Take 5 in North Carolina, where they found the problem almost immediately: the Connecticut location had failed to install the gasket on the drain plug during the oil change. Mistakes happen, but what is unacceptable is that we recognized there was a problem, brought the car back, and were reassured that everything was fine after only a few minutes. That reassurance led to a 600+ mile drive with an active oil leak. This could have caused catastrophic engine damage, and instead it left us with a damaged brand-new driveway. This wasn't just an honest mistake it was a failure to properly diagnose and correct a problem that they created after we specifically returned because the car was leaking oil. Extremely disappointing service and a preventable situation that never should have happened.

    Hell froze over... I found an honest mechanic. I know, I know, I can't believe it either. So check…read morethis out... About a month ago our car battery died. We called AAA to give us a jump, and they ended up telling us the battery was pretty much shot, we needed a new one. They hooked up the new battery, and when they turned the car on, no radio. Just dead silence. There was power coming into the head unit, everything appeared to work, there was just no sound coming out to the speakers. By this point, the AAA guy had left. Great, now what. We called AAA back, they sent another guy out who couldn't figure it out either. It was a fiasco. So we filed a claim with AAA. AAA tells us to take it to a car audio place to get a diagnostic done and submit the claim (but no guarantee they would cover the costs). So we know they're pretty much going to find a way to blame us, and any event, we prepped to be paying out of pocket. We took it to 2 audio places, and they both concluded it was a blown amp... something about when they connected the battery, it blew the amp. Anyway, estimate averaged about $600. $600, and no guarantee that we'd be reimbursed... really sucks. So about a month later we come across Penfields. My wife decides "what the hell, we got nothing to lose". Enter Bob. Bob says "I don't think it's your amp." What's that Bob? Do tell... Bob thinks it's a problem when they connected the battery, and wants to "reboot" the radio. He disconnects the battery, reconnects it, turns the car on with a reset to the radio and POOF, radio works. Best part is, Bob tells my wife "you don't owe me anything... I'm just here to help people". My father always used to say "Son, there's only 2 people that any man can't live without.... A good tailor, and an good, honest auto mechanic." I'm still looking for my tailor, but at least I found Bob.
