I have to say this town fair location nailed it for me! & they got a nail out of my tire! You really need an appt for this location as they're very busy. I stopped by one day on a whim and one of the employees checked it and found some availability for the next day to have my tire checked out. The next day I checked in at my appt time and waited about an hour and a half for my tire to be fixed and get the alignment done. Both Ricardo and Elmer were very pleasant and helpful with all questions. Only negative I have is I wish the waiting area was a bit nicer (&warmer) but how much can you really expect? Will definitely visit again when I need a tire replaced or repaired! read more

When I received my keys I asked why has no one told me that the car was done- answer : I just got back from lunch and your paperwork was misplaced. Honestly you're almost better off doing anything tire related at your own house by the time these guys get to your car. No matter what the issue is you will wait 2-3 hours after your appointment time until they even start to get your tires fixed. I dropped my rims off to get new tires about a year ago and took them 2 days to get it done and refused to work on them on my car because they aren't the original tires on my car but the exact same thread size. (Hemi Shaker Challenger rims on a Dodge Charger). My friend just went there to get her tire replaced and left with 2 separate tires bubbling out of the sidewall instead of the one she came in with. They claimed to have rotated the tires as-well and "never saw those". Was forced to make a second appointment days later, then have forced her to make a good review on their page while STILL WAITING for the car to be fixed. Absolute joke of a company and is not worth your money, time or effort to try this place. Side Note: They also charged her $40 to fix their own mistake days later. Huge scam. read more

On another occasion, I sent my son to Town Fair for 2 rear tires on his car seeing as I have a credit card with town fair. They sent him back on his way with two missing lug nuts on each side. He was advised that this was safe and unnecessary. Why would a manufacturer design a wheel consisting of 5 lug nuts when only 4 is needed? This will be disputed and a call to the corporate office. After waiting almost 2 and a half hours, I asked for my keys back and went to Isaac's Tire Shop down the road. I left work and was driving up Rt 34. I thought I had a flat tire but when I checked I saw it was a nail in my tire. Since I was in the parking lot right next door to town fair tire, I decided to go there. All I needed was for them to plugged it. As I am checking my car in, John tells me it would take an hour-an hour and a half. He proceeded to tell me about his love life, he moved up here from KeyWest FL for a girl but he's single now, he has multi-million dollar friends, he's half italian/half puerto rican, he made $30 an hour working as a cook in FL, he lived in Colorado, the snow stays white never turns brown... Never once did he mention if a car with an appt comes in, my car would be pushed back bc plugging a tire takes approx. 5 mins. After seeing car after car going back and mine still parked in the same spot, I called Isaac's, asked how long it would take, they said 5 mins, come on down. I asked John for my keys back, he told me I had to wait even though I just waited 2 and a half hours for nothing. I told him next time don't tell people a time and not follow it and also if people with appts come first and my car was going to continue to be pushed back, he should've told me that from the start. I would've went to Isaac's 2 plus hours earlier. Anyway, I left and went to Isaac's. Was in and out in minutes just like they said, they plugged my tire right there in the parking lot. This is the second time I've had to fix the pressures on my tires after they worked on it in Derby. Simple rotation, should have had 38 lb in all 4 per specs on door label, but they were 40, 42, 42, 43 which caused my TPMS light to go on when driving home. The tech mentioned that he added air but come on guys, you are professionals and this is the easiest thing to get right. I dont know if the techs are in a hurry and not checking it properly, or if their gauges are not calibrated (yes, I am certain my gauge is correct), but it is annoying. If you can't get the simple pressures correct, what else are you screwing up? They were also running about 1 hour behind schedule which created issues with another appointment I had. If you know this is the case, call me and give me the option to postpone or show up later so I dont have to sit there. read more

I bought my tires years ago at Town Fair and they still ofer free seasonal change over. Not only is it free, they take the time to do it right and don't tush and as always you can watch on closed circuit TV. It usually takes a little longer then an hour but thats about the same as if you went somewhere and paid. I always get an appointment. The people on the phone who schedule the appointments are pleasant and professional as well. read more

Going into auto shops can sometimes be intimidating if you don't know a thing about cars and car parts. Ricardo was able to answer all of my questions, give honest recommendations, and relieve any of my worries. I won't be going anywhere else and I will always ask for his help. The service was also done in a timely manner as they were extremely busy. I made an appointment to replace my winter tires. When I arrived, there were two customers ahead. They appeared to be walk-ins. I waited 15 minutes or more just to get to the service desk. The young man welcomed me and he immediately apologized for the delay. This was appreciated....not that it was anyone's fault, really. (There is a sign, not well positioned, directing walk-ins to stand in line at one window, which would keep another window open for scheduled appointments. The sign is difficult to see.) The upside is, that my car moved ahead of at least one of the two gentlemen who were walk-ins. I felt that the young man at the service desk did his best to be fair. He was very considerate and informative about the service to be rendered. I was very satisfied. The price was better than that offered at my dealership. When I told him I wanted to wait for it, he replied they were too backed up for today. Seemed more like he couldn't be bothered because there was no commission for tire sales in it for him. This place is terrible. Brought my wheel there on a Saturday was told they wouldn't have the tire til Monday, so I paid and left the wheel there. Monday I get a call saying they got the wrong tire from the warehouse. I said ok but I paid Saturday and was told it would be ready today, I need this car for tomorrow. I was told "well our warehouse is closed why do you want me to do?". I said that's not they way you do business and it was your mistake I've already paid fix it. I was told they couldn't do anything til tomorrow and that they were not going to argue with me. Basically I got a oh well you have to wait. So I was told the car would be ready at 9:30am Tuesday. At 9:45am Tuesday I get a call from the manager who was very happy to tell me they would have the tire by about 1pm. I said I was told it would be done by 9:30 am and got another "oh well". So I go to work get off at 4pm call them and ask is my tire ready? I was told yes sir it's all set come get it. I went in about 4:45pm Tuesday. The guy behind the counter says "oh it's you, I was gonna make a joke but I won't". I told him I'm not in the mood for jokes please get my tire. he says "now your doing what you did on the phone yesterday" and is mad at me for being upset about being lied to again and again. I can see my tire behind the counter so I say pls just get my tire he says I will I told him ok it's right there pick it up. He tells me "that's not your tire" I said how are you going to tell me what wheel came off of my car. He says "oh wait we put the tire on the wrong rim we have to go switch it to the right one stop being rude". So now I have to wait even longer after being told it was ready. I told the manager I need to speak to you. He told me to wait til he was done on the computer. Then when I told him his ppl don't pay attention he assured me they do. I said so how do you get the wrong tire and then get the right tire and put it on the wrong rim and don't notice but have time to make jokes. I said someone needs to be retrained or fired because they don't pay attention. He says "I agree with u" I told him but you're not going to do anything about it are you? Stay away... went for a new tire to right front. Elected to get two new tires, and they were to be put on the back while those on the back would go on front, since I have an all wheel drive car. Three days later tire light warning comes on again and again it's the right front tire that allegedly needed to be replaced. Obviously they replaced the two rear tires and left me with the still defective tire on the right front! Took it back to have it looked at told me it would take three hours for them to even put it on the hoist. Now I will have to bring it back after Christmas, during the busy holiday season to find out why the heck they didn't fix my right front tire. I will follow up this review with the results, but they had better give me a free tire for the right front!. If they make me buy a new tire for the right front I'm definitely reporting them to the better business bureau.They are obviously all about money and speed versus getting the order right. and if you are a female forget it. Bought 4 tires on Friday 11/9, not in stock, set up appointment for installation and 4 wheel alignment on Tuesday 11/13. No problem! Arrived before my 9 a.m. appointment... waited patiently for over 4 hours for work to be done!!! Still patient, as bad weather was predicted and the place was very busy. However, I get into my Murano and the tan interior is a filthy black mess! The steering wheel, arm rest, shift knob, and floor mats are smeared with black grime. Spent about a half hour at home cleaning up the mess. Went back the next day with pictures to show the service writer, got a weak apology and offer to clean the mess. I had one of the worst retail experiences of my life coming here. I bought 4 tires and 4 wheels to go along with them and had an appointment Saturday afternoon. I come in and leave the car and an hour later I receive a call from them saying they only got 3 of the wheels as someone took the 4th for another order. To remedy this situation we take the display wheel and schedule another appointment for Monday. I take the day off to get this done because I have incorrect small snow tires on the car wearing out quickly. I again leave the car and get a call saying now another wheel is incorrect (not the display wheel they measured beforehand) and I will have to pick another wheel style and they will need to order it again. I take another day off work on Tuesday as I now have 3 normal wheels I wanted and 1 snow wheel and tire on the car and they finally mount it while I watch the guy working on it take multiple hours because he is texting and moving very slowly. On my way home I notice the car is shaking badly at 60 Mph. So they charged me for an alignment which is advertised as free with purchase and didn't even perform it. My fiance took the car in for me the next day so I could work and they said the technician used the wrong wheel spacers and then changed them out apparently. The car still shook just as badly after this. I took the car to Orange the next day and they aligned it faster than they even told me they would and gave me detailed printouts. Derby never gave me any printouts. A week and a half of my life wasted working on this because their service is atrocious. read more

Anthony was an outstanding advisor - not only helping me get the right quality products for my budget, but also willing to give his advice on the look of the rims - something that I had a hard time picturing myself. Needed tires for my truck and had done some research ahead of time of what was available in my size. Arrived at TFT in Derby and was helped promptly by Anthony. Anthony surveyed the tires on my truck and then looked up what they had available. In the store they had a set of tires that were decent but not quite the level of tire I was looking for. He then searched their ware house inventory and found just what I was looking for. At the same time the tires were ordered as they had a truck almost at the warehouse doing a pickup. Anthony said he would give me a call when the tires arrive. Fast forward 2 hours and I got the call...tires were in. Headed down and they took the truck in right away. People keep in mind...performing an alignment, mounting, balancing, and installing new tires on a car or truck is not a QUICK process. I would expect at least an hour to 90 minutes for this to be completed. About an hour and 15 minutes later I got a text message from TFT in their waiting room saying my truck was done...moments later it comes out front ready to go. Would I recommend TFT to friends or family...absolutely...in fact if you are reading this...give them a shot. read more

I took 1 hour 45mins for them to fix a flat tire. It was a simple screw in the middle of the tire and would take a garage less then 5 mins to fix. The flat repair wasn't actually free as advertised, something like $4.50. A good deal but my time is more valuable. read more
