Eddie and Tom at the Trumbull location have always taken great care of my cars well, have away been fair, and most importantly, they do great work. I have had them do work on Hondas, VWs and my Mercedes. Recently I had them do a transmission service on my Mercedes AMG that the dealership missed the last time I had it serviced They did it perfectly and have improved the drive of the car. Braking issue with car was misdiagnosed. Told me it would cost over $1000 to fix. I took to another mechanic that stated they just needed to he just need to log into the electrical system and release w/ code. Which they did for $75. Huge error on Jensens part. I felt as if I were being used. Will never refer or use Jenson again. read more

Doesn't listen!! Didn't even look at or fix the safety issue that I brought the car in for, and that I'd described in great detail. "After the fact" solution he offered was unacceptable given the huge mistake he admitted he made (HE ADMITTED THE SAFETY ISSUE that I brought the car in for, WASN'T EVEN LOOKED AT!!) We lost a major amount of money paying for low priority repairs he recommended, that we didn't even come in for! We feel lucky the safety issue that he admitted he didn't even look at, didn't turn into a tragedy! Would NOT recommend!! read more

I have been taking my 4 cars to Jensen for about 3 years. They are honest, friendly, helpful and super accommodating. Took care of an urgent problem quickly so we could go on vacation and Eddie even gave me his cell phone number in case of emergency. Also checked out two cars that I was going to buy from a private owner and didn't even charge me. He also gave my husband a free oil change because he is a health care worker. The absolute worse. I had a flat tire and asked for it to be replaced. Just one tire, as I was taking it to the dealership to get 3 other new tires. Eddie the owner refused to replace one tire and stated "I will not do the job unless I replace all 4 tires. I have the right to refuse your business." Tried to tell me the other 3 tires were bald and unsafe. I told him I am bringing it to dealership for the other tires. He refused to put one flat tire on. I called AAA and had it towed to BMW in Bpt. This place is the worse. And I tried to shop local. I had to give this a 1 star... he truly deserves NO stars.!! read more

On the morning we were supposed to take a family vacation I realized that I had a flat tire (sidewall). I had been putting off purchasing new tires for our van, but with 2 balding front tires and now a bad rear tire, we had to bite the bullet and get a new set. AAA recommended Jensen Tire and Auto in Trumbull. I live literally 2 minutes from this location and had never once thought about stopping there. I always buy tires from Town Fair. I called Jensen's and spoke to Eddie Jensen on the phone. I explained my dilemma to him about having to leave for vacation and need work done as fast as possible. Not expecting much, Eddie told me he'd call me back in a few minutes with a price after he checked his stock. Two minutes later he calls me back and says he has Firestone tires in stock and can have him at the store in 10 minutes. He also quoted me a price of $640 for the 4 tires, mounted, balanced and a 4 wheel alignment. He said I'd have my car all set by 10:30 am. It was after 8 am when I called him. Being a Town Fair guy i went to the Bridgeport location. They offered me a set of "El Dorado" tires for over $850 installed. I had never heard of El Dorado tires before. They told me they could get whatever brand tires I wanted but I would have to wait and they would be more than the El Dorado's. I told them what I could pay at Jensen's for a brand that I knew of (Firestone) and they just laughed and said "yeah but you won't get the warranty and the free rotations, etc from Jensen's) I called Eddie back up and said I was on my way! I dropped the car off and was planning on waiting, but Eddie offered me a loaner car and said go home and get ready for your trip. Who gives you a loaner car for tires???? At 10:20 he called and said my car was ready. I picked it up and Eddie explained the road hazard warranty to me along with extra copies of the paperwork. Eddie also said I would get free rotations every 6k miles. Take that Town Fair! I am so glad I made that call to Jensen's Tire and Auto! Eddie couldn't have been nicer to me in my time of need! DO NOT GO HERE! rude rude rude I explain to the guy on the phone what is wrong with my car (it was a short), he told me to bring the car in so they could take a look at it. As i elaborated what was going wrong, he rudely cut me off and said "I don't know anything about cars." I find it hard to believe a full body autoshop hires someone to take the service calls, doesn't know a lick about cars. This man should be working maybe at a grocery store, or a dollar general, not at an automotive shop. But it's not his fault he is stupid, it's not his fault he didn't care to ever try in school or read a book, this is the owners fault. Who the F*** would ever hire someone that has no clue about the business. I drop my car off, because they said "they need it here to diagnose the short" and then I go rent a car for a few days. To think they'd ever call me and give me an update was just wishful thinking, everytime I called to check on my car the man would give me short, unfriendly, and rude comments back "nope"..."not yet"..."i don't know." This went on for over two days, and they did not even go take a look at it. I told them to put my keys in my car and I'd come pick it up, and that was the happiest I'd see them. They have no regaurds for customer service, they don't care to gain any kind of trust with new clients, they have zero people skills, and I am seriously questioning their abilitity to even fix and diagnose cars. This place seems like an unorganized, "on the way" down shop that will inevitably be an empty building soon. We've been customers of Jensen's since 2006. First at the Rt. 34 location and recently at the 111 location. Eddie and team have been honest, fair and flexible! We hang on to our vehicles.(1996 Camry, 1998 4Runner and 2007 Mazda 3) The team has given us sage advice on what and when to repair and/or wait to repair items over the years. Yes at times they can be EXTREMELY busy and you might find their "to the point" manners a bit abrupt, but it's not because they don't care, its because they are trying to help everyone and spread a little too thin some times. I have been a customer of Eddie's even before he started his own business in Monroe and then expanded to Trumbull. In all those years, I have always been completely satisfied with the work done on my cars. Eddie will let you know if he discovers something while working on your car and it is always your choice to either have him do the repair, take it to a dealership, or even another mechanic. The only times I opted for the dealership was when Eddie would inform me that the defect was probably under warranty and should be checked out with a dealership first. I have never had a problem with any of Eddie's work; and he stands behind what he does. I should point out this is a AAA certified repair shop which means if the need would arise, however unlikely, AAA will mediate. I won't take my cars anywhere else. read more

They fixed my flat tire-worked to get a patch on it after a 2" hook came out. They were great to deal with.

We got a flat on our way home from camping for two weeks. With a car full of gear and our tired greyhound Eddie got us patched and ready to roll in twenty minutes! I'm sure Eddie is a good mechanic but there is no way he should ever be put in front of a customer. He's pretty abrasive to customers, which I've experienced and heard from a number of other people who have gone there before. I was willing to put up with that because he did pretty good work at reasonable prices until he chipped one of my brand new wheels while putting on a set of tires. To his credit, he alerted it to me when I picked up the wheels, unfortunately that's when the business sense stopped. He continuously shifted the blame from himself while we were discussing it and even more when I said that I wanted him to pay to have the chip fixed. After talking quite a bit in person and then on email, I finally got him to agree to pay for what ended up being a $70-80 repair. When you take into account the fact that I still had to pay the $40 to mount the tires (which probably should have been waived given the circumstances), it really only ended him costing $30-40. Even when he finally sent the check, instead of just cutting the check and leaving me with a positive view of the guy for doing what needed to be done to make it right, he added a couple of passive-aggressive shots in the email. My family used to bring 6 cars here to get tires and some service and he was willing to risk that so that he wouldn't have to admit any fault. read more
