Thank You Kindly Tom Liacos, and everyone at the garage for going above & beyond. Last Thursday as I followed in my vehicle, my brother drove his Jeep in front. Then the tire blew, or whatever it was that happened to the vehicle. It was after hours, and luck had it, we were across from Steller's. We parked the Jeep in their lot, left a note, with the key on the driver side tire. First thing Friday morning my brother called to let them know what happened & if they could fix it. Not only did they do the job in the same day, they also stayed late past closing so we could return to get the Jeep that evening. Everyone was charming & kind. Again, thank you guys, next time we'll have a scheduled visit, rather than an emergency. read more

What a waste of having my car for nine days! Had my car towed in they were extremely busy. Ran two diagnostic tests on it changed out a fuse. They told me they had no idea what was wrong with it, but it seemed to be working and to come pick it up and it's currently not working again! If you don't have people that work for you that know how to work on Jeeps save us all the time and the money and have me go elsewhere read more

First time bringing my truck to Stellars. I called and got a price on timing belt and water pump for my 2017 Honda Ridgeline. As a female I am always worried about getting scammed at a garage but I figured they have been in business for a very long time so let me give them a try. The price was reasonable and they were very nice. Like everyone else I hate spending money on my truck when there's nothing wrong with it but Honda recommends this service to be done at 100K and I was at 103K so I bit the bullet and spent the $1370. I am so glad I did. My truck runs like new. I had no idea how much better it would run with having this done. Steller's has got themselves a new customer! The price was good, they were nice, they did the job in a day and they never tried to upsell me anything else. The did the service I asked for and that was it. Not pushy like the Honda dealer. I'm so happy I gave them a try. I'm more than happy with the service. I will continue to go here for all services needed. Thank you Stellers for not taking advantage of a girl who knows nothing about cars. I appreciate you!! read more

Great service! They explain everything that they had to do on the car. My husband just bought his car in for the first time and he was very pleased with the professionalism and servicing of the car. I would highly recommend Stellar's garage! read more

Reasonable pricing & quality service keep me coming back. They also take the time to explain things clearly which is important to me. I'm very impressed by Steller's and recommend them highly. read more

Our tire was low and we put air in it but the next day it was low again. We stopped by Stellar's to see if they could take a look at it and they not only immediately checked it out, but also repaired the tire. (It had a nail in it). It may not sound like much, but it was the immediate, caring, professional service that we received that makes us be such loyal customers. Highly recommend. read more

I called for an estimate on an oil change. Very simple. They asked for my name and phone number and wanted to call me back. Oil changes should be pretty standard price. When I didn't give phone number, he said it would cost between 40 and $60!! Are you kidding me!? read more

Super friendly staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Clean shop and grounds. These guys are really professional.

Brought my Sequoia in for a oil change. A slow leak in a tire and the safety check that that comes with. Found I needed rear brakes. Everything done at a great price by 4 pm on the same day. Long standing Valley business with a great earned reputation. read more

I went to Steller's Garage back On 7/29/2021 to get my Front, Rear and Transfer Case for my differential changed. fast forward to today 09/02/2021 My truck is Leaking Fluids from my Rear Differential. From 7/29/2022 to 9/1/2022 i have only put 9,000 Miles on my Truck. i went to open the cover and drain the fluids and my fluids in the Rear was Completely Black. which with only 9,000 Miles that should not have been the case. To add to this issues the reason it was leaking fluid is because when they "changed" the fluid. there was no gasket put back on. the one that was originally there was fine. in Conclusion I would have rather taken my truck to the dealership or have never even done the service if i would have known my truck was being handled as if it was a toy. read more

My car broke down in the Shelton area so I had it towed here since we've used Steller's for an oil change before and they did a good job. They called me after triple aaa towed my car there and told me I needed a new alternator and a new battery which would be $700, they also said while they were working they could change my serpentine belt for an additional $48. I then asked how much they charged to change my transmission fluid since I knew it had to be done. He said they charge $300 to change transmission fluid. I was shocked and I told him my usual mechanic in Stamford had told me it was only $150 to change the transmission fluid and his response was "well you should go there". So feeling like I was being overcharged for being a woman, I called triple aaa and arranged to have my car towed to Scottys in Stamford- the place I usually go to. Scotty called me right after receiving my car and told me only the alternator needed to be changed and that he was able to charge my battery overnight instead of replacing it. He said my serpentine belt was in good shape and did not need to be replaced. He also changed my transmission fluid for only $150. So, my advice based on my experience is to avoid Stellers as they attempted to charge me exorbitant prices and they falsely recommended repairs which weren't necessary. They were just trying to make money off of me. As an owner of a small business myself, I'm all about helping people and doing the right thing instead of being dishonest and falsely overcharging. Shame on you Steller's for picking on a woman. I won't be recommending you. read more

After aggravating car problems and even more aggravating service at garages, I was thrilled to finally find Steller's. I just started working in Shelton at the Corporate Park and having a 9-5 job can make it difficult when you're trying to repair your car and get to work. Steller's makes it easy by swinging by the office for your vehicle so you don't have to worry about those inconveniences. With a nearby location on Bridgeport Ave., they took my car over the weekend, ordered the part that was needed, gave me honest advice with an honest price and had it back to me by Monday morning. Great people and amazing service. If my car gives me any more trouble, I'm definitely bringing it back here. read more

I hear horror stories of sleazy mechanics trying to rip people off every chance they get and I am lucky to never have experienced that, thanks to Steller's. My family has used Steller's for as long as I can remember and when I started driving I knew there was no where else I wanted to go. I've been going there on my own for seven years and I don't think you could find a more reliable, honest garage anywhere. They always attend to whatever problem I have quickly and with a fair price. When it comes to things like tires, they will shop around to make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck. When I was shopping for a used car, they even had me bring cars in to have them check to make sure there were no issues that would cost me down the line- all at no charge. They saved me from buying a vehicle with some serious alignment issues. They truly care about their customers and it certainly shows. read more

these guys are professionals! If they say it needs to be fixed it does! If they say it can wait, it can! I have been going to Stellars now for 10 years and they are simply the best garage I have ever been to ( and I have been to quite a few) If they mess up, they let you know and then make it right! read more

My husband had his truck under coated for rust. Was very happy with the results. They where very professional, and took the time to talk about the situation. Steller's is a great place to have your car cares, wish we none them sooner. read more

Had an issue with my brakes (my father was having trouble putting new ones on and things unfortunately went wrong). I was honest with Fred at the shop about my car and he was nothing but kind. No comments were made, they were just so helpful. I have my car back and I am so pleased with their service. read more

Classic case of over charging and doing work that's not necessary. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE. Total rip-off.

First experience at Steller's, and will definitely continue to do business with them. I had a coupon for an oil change, and since my car requires synthetic oil, I was happy for the break. They were prompt, pleasant, and made me feel very comfortable. I like supporting local businesses, and I will recommend Steller's to everyone in the area. Thank you! read more

Great mechanics and very professional. you can trust them which is very important with a mechanic. I have had 3 different cars in with them (including a '57 T-Bird) and they have done a great job every time. I have even recommended multiple friends to them and my friends were happy as well. read more

I just moved to the area and found Steller's online. My engine had been making strange noises and my car was occasionally having trouble starting... I called them up and the very friendly woman who answered the phone told me to come on by at my earliest convenience (no appointment necessary). I brought it over later that evening (and of course the car had stopped making the noises and started just fine) and told them no rush, as I knew they were closing soon. They checked it first thing in the morning and were quickly able to diagnose the problem. They called me to explain what was wrong - in a way that I could understand! - and for approval to do the repairs. My car was ready just a few hours later (less than 24 hours from when I dropped it off!). Now my car runs like a dream! Customer service is phenomenal and prices are very fair! They don't try to rip you off or make you do anything that isn't 100% necessary (a rarity in this industry!). All the staff were so friendly and professional. I'm so glad they're right down the road. I will continue bringing my vehicles to Steller's for a long time!! read more

Steller's Garage is fantastic. The guys are honest and their work is reliable. The prices are fair and the service is fast. I would not take my vehicle anywhere else. read more

Disappointed, I email this company stating my dissatisfaction but no response. Suggested to my daughter to go there for a Brake job. Rear rotors calipers and pads. You can purchase these parts all day for 300.bucks. Figured they'd charge her double to install etc. charged her 950.00, then locked her keys in the car causing her to miss a days work besides. I wouldn't go to these folks! read more

This is the worst place I have ever been to in my life they took advantage of me because I was young I payed 200 dollars for an antifreeze leak they said they would fix it when I went there told me they fixed half the job and its still leaking but not as bad.. When I drove off my car started pouring out antifreeze nothing changed what so ever exact same as when I brought it if not worse. DON'T WASTE UR TIME THEY WILL JUST OVERCHARGE YOU read more

I had the misfortune of breaking down in Shelton, CT and couldn't shift my car. I needed help and they responded in a BIG way. I had called 2 Chrysler/Dodge dealers and neither were any help. Stellers sent a mechanic to the Hampton Inn and got me on my way, all in less than 1 hour. AND they charged a VERY reasonable price. I wish they were located in the Manchester, NH area, I would definitely use them! read more

Steller's performed my pre-purchase inspection for a used Audi Q5 that I was interested in buying nearby. I only use ASE certified mechanics and for a small town they were a very busy garage, which I think is always a good sign. They were extremely professional and detail oriented. Chris called me to explain all the details of the inspection and also provided me with a written report on all the points of the inspection with details like the amount of brake pad left, electrical, possible frame damage, mechanical issues, etc (which luckily there were none). Chris was great to speak with and was courteous throughout the process. They even checked if the car had a spare tire for me. The price of the inspection was much lower than any quote I received near where I live in NYC. I ended up buying that car and the car is running great! I would go out of my way to go to Stellar's again for any servicing my car ever needs. read more

Honest. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely use again when cars need service. (We had just moved here - when the car came off the shipping truck the service engine light was on. Took it in to Stellars, they went over it completely, found it was just a misfire. A less honest place could have gouged us.) read more

Very reliable and accomadating to my work schedule. Very friendly and fair. My truck loves it there.

These guys are great! I recently had my daughters car in for a timing belt, they kept me updated on the progress and found other problems that were not urgent and could wait. They finished the job when they said they would and the estimate of the cost was right on. I highly recommend Stellars Garage! read more

This is the best service garage around. The only garage I have used in 30 years! Never, every did I feel overcharged . They DO NOT take advantage of you because your a women! They are always upfront and fair priced. read more

Superb outfit- competent, honest and fair prices. They spent 2 days trying to run down an intermittent misfire and finally found the culprit. The price was more than fair, and the systematic approach they used to isolate the issue exemplifies that these people are true professionals. read more

I try to do all my own mechanic work because I hate bringing it to a shop. I had one problem I just could not fix for months, so I ended up bringing it to Steller's. These guys fixed it in a couple days and charged me an extremely fair rate for it. They told me what they did and what they checked, and the car works great now. 100% honest, good to go. Give these guys your business. read more

I had my car taken in for two new tires. They installed the wrong size tires, which caused more problems. They told me they could not take the tires off and broke a tool trying to, yet no one has ever had this problem with my wheels before. A few days later my tires were scraping against the car when I made sharp turns. They didn't want to negotiate a lower price or admit that they were wrong. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. read more

Great guys for car services at Steller's. They even helped me dig out my car when I was caught in a snow bank. Good luck Cris in the National Guard. Thanks for your service read more
