Everything bagel w cream cheese was delicious. Exceeded my expectations given VA's not really known for its bagels. Cappuccino had a good coffee flavor but was not very hot and got to room temperature just a few sips in :/

I've been wanting to try this place forever, but never came by. I was with my niece this morning and she wanted a refresher from Starbucks so I mentioned this place instead. She wanted a drink but didn't want the carrot or ginger so we asked if they could make it without. They could and she loved it. She said it's exactly what she wanted. I settled on the exotic apple pie smuice and the southwest bagel. Both are delicious. My niece was hesitant to try my drink since she doesn't like spinach but she loved it and said she's getting it next time. It tastes like cinnamon and apples and strawberries. So good. The southwest bagel normally comes with scallions, but they were out today. No big deal. It tastes like nachos and smells like tacos. It was great. My niece said the same about the nachos. We are big fans of this place and will definitely be back.

Have been looking for coffee places other than that chain we all know. Saw this place and decided to check it out. SO GLAD we did! Being our first time we asked what the go to coffee drinks were. She recommended the Vietnamese cold brew so I went with that. It was so smooth - the coffee and cream was perfectly blended so it was not too sweet and the best part....no bitterness. So delicious!!! My husband got a white chocolate toffee late and he loved it! Finally a late that doesn't taste like warm milk! I hear their food is very good as well - maybe next time we will go hungry and give that a shot! But if you are looking for some really unique coffee flavor combos & a healthier take (they have agave as a sweetener choice!!) - branch out and give them a try!

The workers here are so nice and helpful! The food was so good like omg, I got the açaí bowl with banana and extra granola. The granola was so crispy and good, and the banana was fresh. Also, my friend got the ham bagel , which was so good and perfect I 100% recommend. The store itself is so beautiful and picture perfect. 10/10 recommend for anyone.

The juice was delicious, staff were polite, place clean and relaxed. Definitely a place to try. Highly recommend. I got "Drop the Beet" and was super refreshing!

Grosss 150 something comments. Probably should have resolved the issue.

I have been waiting for a couple of months and am so excited they are open. I already had my coffee this morning so I got a juice. The staff helped me pick the juice called Pulp Fiction. Wonderful refreshing carrot, orange, and ginger Yummmm. And the Sandwich was delish. Big Kahuna, ham, bacon, and fresh spinach. Can I just say, I'm going to be here more often than most people. The staff are totally great. Super helpful and cheery. Inside decor is classy and comfy. Sign up for rewards app. They have done in, take out, or drive through at this location

The initial pickup didn't match what was advertised: kids' tray wasn't as advertised with the smiley face presentation making it part of the kid-friendly menu and the chicken was *barely* lukewarm and packed in a thin, flimsy cardboard box (which had no chance of holding in any kind of warmth) instead of the foil catering pans shown online. With the party starting in 45 minutes, it was a stressful moment because my whole setup was planned around keeping the food warm with a buffet warmer. What turned this into a 5-star experience was the stellar customer service. When I called, the Assistant Grocery Manager, Gregory S., was calm, kind, and immediately took ownership of the situation. Rather than just offering a refund, he asked for the chance to fix it so I wouldn't have to scramble for last-minute food for the party. Within minutes he called back to confirm they could remake the order and he would personally deliver it on time. He arrived with everything *exactly* as advertised. The chicken was hot and in proper foil catering pans, so it could be put on my warmer, and the kids' tray was arranged with a fun smiley face that the children loved, and wanted to eat. He was professional, apologetic, and genuinely focused on making sure my daughter's party went smoothly. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but the way this manager and his store handled it was exceptional and went well above and beyond. They completely turned a stressful situation into a positive one, and because of that level of care and follow-through, I would absolutely recommend them for catering. If you have specific setup needs, it may be helpful to call ahead to confirm packaging but based on this experience I have a lot of confidence in how they take care of their customers. Thank you to Gregory and to Publix!

They are located behind the Panera Bread and can be seen from Upton Dr. My most recent visit here was on January 18, 2026. From the outside, you can see the sign for the business on the side and out front. There is some limited outdoor seating as well. With other businesses along that stretch and such, parking can be limited during peak times. I can attest to that as parking was limited when I came on January 16, 2026 (this wasn't an issue on the most recent visit). The reason for two visits pretty close together was because this was during Virginia Beach Restaurant Week. The visit on January 16, 2026 was for dinner and the visit on January 18, 2026 was for breakfast. Starting with the dinner visit on January 16, 2025, it was already pretty busy in there as there was a large party event going on with half of the seating area. This probably explains why parking was limited that evening. Even though that was the case, we were immediately greeted and able to be seated. It wasn't long before our server Megan came to the table. She asked us what we wanted to drink. I went with water with lemon and mom got a coke. It would take us a bit of time to choose what we wanted. I ended up going with the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer and Fried Shrimp Platter for the entree. My mom went with the Corn Chowder appetizer and Crab Cake Dinner as the entree. After about five minutes, the appetizers came out to the table. The Firecracker Shrimp were very tasty and flavorful. My mom loved the Corn Chowder that she ordered. About ten minutes after that, the entrees came to the table. Both foods looked good and they were hot as expected. I really liked the fried shrimp as it wasn't overly breaded either. It had a great taste. The fries were good too, and they were like an indulgence for me. The coleslaw was good too. My mom liked the Crab Cake Dinner that she had. The last part was the dessert. I knew this would spike my blood sugars, but I went with the Peanut Butter Pie, and my mom went with the Oreo Outlaw dessert. It didn't take long for those to come out, and that was the ultimate indulgence to finish off the evening. The second visit during the morning on January 18, 2026 for the Breakfast/Lunch version of their restaurant week menu. This was the first time I had been here for breakfast. We had the same server we had a few days before at the dinner version. On this visit, for the appetizer, I decided to try the Risotto Bites and my mom had the Corn Chowder again. For the entree, we both did the Classic French Toast, though I did mine with bacon, and my mom did hers with Edwards Sausage. The Risotto Bites were really good and had a nice flavor to them. The Classic French Toast was a great indulgence for me too. It was soft and hot. The bacon was great too. Overall, I have had some great experiences here recently. The food and service are top notch. There is ample seating inside, and there is some limited outdoor seating. They have daily food specials during the week too. This is definitely a locally owned place to check out for any meal of the day.

I ordered the Williamsburg Bagel, which consisted of lox, plain cream cheese, tomato, capers, and red onion. I originally wanted it on an Everything bagel, but since they were out, I went with a Garlic bagel instead. Even though it was a tad bit crowded, my sandwich was ready in about 5 mins. I've had the Williamsburg Bagel before so I was excited to enjoy it again but I wasn't a big fan of the thick-cut red onions they added on there, and I actually love onions! Unfortunately, I ended up taking most of them off. I also wish it had more cream cheese, the thin layer on the bottom just wasn't enough for me. That said, the bagel itself was fresh and overall, the sandwich tasted good. At almost $20, it did feel a little pricey for a bagel sandwich, but I enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back to try other options. The interior is full of Brooklyn pictures, which I love! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

My husband and a friend came here on a Thursday morning to order 6 items and they were gone for almost an hour (it was a 10 minute drive from where we stayed). They come back with a bag of "bagels" (if that's what you want to call them) drenched in ketchup. Our orders were extremely simple: BEC w/PK on a plain bagel Egg and cheese on a croissant BEC w/PK on an asiago bagel Taylored Ham, egg & cheese on a bagel Toasted everything bagel with lox & cream cheese Here is everything that went wrong: 1. The bagel store didn't offer BACON, so we ended up substituting for sausage. The sausage patty was probably the size of my kid's palm- that's how small it was. The eggs were overcooked and had no taste, but don't worry, they'll make sure to smother the entire bagel with ketchup to make up for it. 2. TOASTED bagel with lox & cream cheese- bagel was not toasted, and there wasn't any lox available. 3. Egg & cheese on a croissant- the place didn't have any croissants... so had to substitute this for a roll 4. It was the chef's second day in the kitchen. Bagels alone wasn't great quality..it was edible enough, but extremely chewy and stiff, especially after taking so long to prepare the orders and with two people working in a place that is seemingly popular with the Yelp Community, the amount of time it took this order to be ready was a little ridiculous. I ordered the same thing back home the following day and it took less time to make here in NJ than it did here on a non-busy day with just my husband and friend as their sole customer at the time.

All of them except the regular limoncello were gone the same night. Very happy with their desserts. The service was lack luster, I wasn't really pleased that they only brought out one pitcher of water and one small basket of bread for a table of 11. Although we sat outside (because we were dining with a dog), we never had to wait too long for the waitress to check on us. Since The Egg Bistro has a HUGE breakfast menu, I'm sure everyone should be able to find something that they will/might enjoy. For my dining pleasure, I tried something new and went with the Bennie & the Grits. This dish piqued my interest because I never heard of grits cakes in the four decades of living on this planet. For about 20 bucks, the dish included three fried grit cakes with ground sausage, grilled shrimp, more sausage, two poached eggs and a side. Although the serving size was HUGE, I was not a bit fan of the dish. Note, I didn't think the dish was prepared badly, I just didn't get the concept of the fried grits (this from a grits lover); however, everything else with the dish was pretty good.
