After looking over the menu, I decided on the Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte and the Ham & Cheese Croissant. While I waited, I couldn't help but notice how nice the coffee shop was. They have a small seating area where I noticed a few people working while enjoying their coffee. My latte and croissant were very good. This spot seems like it's popular to the locals. I wish there were more parking options but if you're ever in the area and looking for great coffee, definitely check them out.

My husband and I are regulars at Big Ugly but I've never taken the opportunity to try Taxus Street until this week. I tried to come on Monday and quickly learned they were closed, so returned the following day. They operate inside the brewery and have a nice setup in the corner. There is lots of seating - bars and high tops - and it's a great spot for a morning gathering. There was a meeting in the upstairs loft happening during my visit. The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. Each year we try one of Morning Views beans they readily have available and while we opt for whole beans they will grind yours if you want. For this week's vacation we ordered up Woodys dark blend and Bootys dark blend because we sampled these last year and they were great. The muffins are awesome and our favorite is cranberry orange....never disappoints and we highly recommend. This place is always busy early in the AM but they seem to be well staffed with experienced crews....owner always seems to be there making sure everything runs smoothly.

Buckroe coffee was one of the best coffee shops I've been to in quite some time, too bad it's on the other side of the water from our house! PERFECT on the hot day! My daughter ordered a lemon & white chocolate latte and it was one of the best she has had (and like her mother, she does love her coffee and is VERY picky) My husband went the non coffee route and ordered a Mango smoothie and found it refreshing and finished it in the car on the way home. One of the first things I realized after stepping in their door is they are a very pro military operation. They have lots a sign that indicate military support like a wall hanging of Challenge coins. Also the names of the coffee. They sell a large variety of their own coffee in bags. They also sell merchandise. The roasting operation is open for the public to see. I decided on a cup of medium roasted blend. Staff was great and also useful assisting with my choice. They provide samples. They have space to enjoy your cup too. But I got mine to go. I was very happy with the taste and a good price point too. This was not my first time trying them as they offered at some area restaurants like American Brew in VB. I would love to return
