    Summer menu

A while back, there was a Yelp Experience event held at this little coffee shop located in the Princess Anne area of Virginia Beach. The visit was really good where I enjoyed my selections. On the way to a restaurant in nearby Pungo for a Yelp event, I stopped here for some treats. Let's see if the good vibes lasted. After parking behind the building, I walked inside towards the counter where staff was already in place. They greeted me immediately once I walked up. At first, I was gonna order the Double Jeopardy coffee, but once I saw their Summer Latte menu, my mind was immediately changed. I picked a small hot The Verdict which was toasted marshmallow and dark mocha (milk was 2%) and also a white chocolate coconut cookie. Everything was really good. The coffee was well made and the cookie wasn't too sweet. I ended up sitting in The Judge private room which was really nice. I didn't take any pics since there were other folks inside, but it's a nice area where you can hang with some friends or your significant other. An excellent time here at Astraea Coffee. Wonderful staff and really good selections to choose from. You'll definitely see me here again soon :)

After a recent event I attended at Astraea I checked them out again. Ordered the Trial by Jury iced and an avocado toast to go. Service was friendly and the staff recognized me. Everything tasted great again and thrilled to update and upgrade this marvelous local coffee shop.

Two little birdies told me that if you haven't tried Astrea Coffee Cafe, i was missing out! They had Amazing food, delightful desserts, and handcrafted drinks. I loved this house turned into cafe. There is plenty of seating around the main house, upstairs, downstairs, and even more seating in their back barn. I love the atmosphere of the cafe and every one from the staff to the customers were all chill. What I had: Iced Hot Double Jeopardy - 4/5 Hot Irish Cream & Hazelnut Latte - 5/5 BLT Wrap - 5/5 Turkey Pesto Sandwich - 4/5 Orange Cranberry Scone - 4/5 Blueberry Muffins 4/5

The vibe in this coffee shop is fabulous! I love that Astrea is divided up into several different areas so you can sit and work inside, or enjoy their outdoor area (which is massive!). The drink I chose was trial by jury iced coffee. I appreciate that the cinnamon flavor was not overpowering, and it was lovely to sip on as I sat outside and worked on the front porch area. They had lots of pastry items on the menu, I would definitely like to try something fabulous the next time I go! The staff seemed joyful, and my drink was out extremely fast!

What a really cute gem to find after hitting the VB courthouse for officiating a wedding. The LOVE sign outside is adorable. The front porch with a swing and outdoor games (corn hole) is too cute. There were people filling every spot on my random Monday morning trek. The young women working were lovely! I told the front server that it was my first visit and she was super welcoming. I got the lavender latte, hot and a lox bagel, which was the best bagel I've had maybe ever. I was bummed not to have a mug to sit and stay with my latte but I didn't tell her my preference and she didn't ask, but likely assumed bc I was alone(?). My only qualm was the parking was full so I had to walk a bit but then I found a lovely path to a park and an old house. Like do I even know my city (definitely not these parts!). Oh oh oh. And the decor was adorable!!!!! Like very niche to justice and liberty, etc etc. So on the nose for being by the courthouse. Loved it.

Really great experience! The brownie was delicious, perfect texture and flavor. I also tried an iced coffee with lavender. It had a smooth taste with a light floral note. Not too sweet and not too bitter. The space is super cozy with plenty of seating, including indoor and outdoor areas. The customer service was excellent, everyone was very kind. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

The place is cozy and nice. I ordered a cafe latte and a peanut butter scone. Coffee was okay. The scone had a banana flavor for some reason it felt very artificial and very off putting, not a great scone . They had limited parking. The service was quick and people working were friendly. The had some good breakfast options too.

This cute local coffee shop is perfect to start your morning!! It is my first time in Virginia and I am SO glad we stopped here!! This coffee shop had a decent line but the drinks came out quickly and absolutely delicious!! I wish I lived over here so I could stroll in any day of the week and grab a fresh cup of coffee here to start my day :) There were plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy your coffee, both inside and outside. I think it would also be a great place to do homework and study or work. I highly recommend this coffee shop if you want to enjoy a great cup of coffee!!

Was decently busy inside but the ordering processes was quick. Got the signature latte double jeopardy. The coffee taste was good and the flavoring wasn't my favorite but was great for the price. Not pictured but my sister got the croissant muffin and she enjoyed it. Loved the interior layout of the house!

    Butterbeer latte

I recently stopped by and decided to try their Butterbeer Latte, and it did not disappoint. The combination of brown sugar, vanilla, and the deliciously creamy cold foam was perfection. I opted for almond milk instead of whole, and the drink was still rich and flavorful! A little sweet, but doable. The interior of Astraea is bright, clean, and perfect for getting work done. I brought my laptop and ended up staying for a few hours. The atmosphere is incredibly remote work-friendly, with plenty of seating and outlets. Plus, their playlist was a total vibe--just the right mix of upbeat and chill to keep me focused. I also have to shout out the staff, who were super helpful and patient as I tried to decide what to order. I'm pretty indecisive, but they helped me through the menu with a smile and made me feel welcome Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in to get some work done, I highly recommend.

I love me some coffee. In all ways. I will take it how I can get it and when I travel, I always look for a cute coffee shop to try. Astraea Coffee isn't new - it's been a place I've been dying to try for a while but just haven't been able to sneak over for one reason or another. I like the location because I like the Princess Anne Courthouse area of town. I liked it even more when Their parking lot is small and I must've shown up during a really busy lunch rush bc there was absolutely no parking and their lot is small so I had to back out at an angle... but, it's right beside a local park with tons of parking and you can easily park and walk over, which is what I did so crisis averted, I'm back on track! Inside is cute with various rooms and mismatched furniture. I was really impressed with the menu with loads of wraps and salads and smoothies as well as breakfast foods and an açaí bowl and such. Large menu. In the end, I went with a chicken Ceasar wrap and iced oat milk latte. The latte was really really good. The wrap was out very quickly and a huge portion size. The gals working behind the counter was also super nice. I plan to come back when it's warmer and enjoy a walk around the park and lunch. Great first experience.

Mini donuts. Bagels. Pastries. Coffee that's perfectly crafted all tucked in the tiniest little cottage. Absolutely so cozy & a perfect place to feel like you're having coffee with a friend at your dining room table. All unique chairs and tables to gab. Parking is behind the building & a tight squeeze but worth the shimmy to get in! Prices that of Starbucks.

    The Bail Out (Iced)

New favorite! Went when they had an antique pop up a few weekends ago & have been back at least once a week since. I've tried the salted caramel added white mocha & the bail out both with almond milk. I was pleasantly surprised how perfect the bail out was as is - I didn't have to add any extra sweetener (I like my coffee pretty sweet) this was mild & delicious! This spot is so cute & cozy. Plenty of space. I love the upstairs back room. Plan to have this as my friday treat (:

I ordered the Williamsburg Bagel, which consisted of lox, plain cream cheese, tomato, capers, and red onion. I originally wanted it on an Everything bagel, but since they were out, I went with a Garlic bagel instead. Even though it was a tad bit crowded, my sandwich was ready in about 5 mins. I've had the Williamsburg Bagel before so I was excited to enjoy it again but I wasn't a big fan of the thick-cut red onions they added on there, and I actually love onions! Unfortunately, I ended up taking most of them off. I also wish it had more cream cheese, the thin layer on the bottom just wasn't enough for me. That said, the bagel itself was fresh and overall, the sandwich tasted good. At almost $20, it did feel a little pricey for a bagel sandwich, but I enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back to try other options. The interior is full of Brooklyn pictures, which I love! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

My husband and a friend came here on a Thursday morning to order 6 items and they were gone for almost an hour (it was a 10 minute drive from where we stayed). They come back with a bag of "bagels" (if that's what you want to call them) drenched in ketchup. Our orders were extremely simple: BEC w/PK on a plain bagel Egg and cheese on a croissant BEC w/PK on an asiago bagel Taylored Ham, egg & cheese on a bagel Toasted everything bagel with lox & cream cheese Here is everything that went wrong: 1. The bagel store didn't offer BACON, so we ended up substituting for sausage. The sausage patty was probably the size of my kid's palm- that's how small it was. The eggs were overcooked and had no taste, but don't worry, they'll make sure to smother the entire bagel with ketchup to make up for it. 2. TOASTED bagel with lox & cream cheese- bagel was not toasted, and there wasn't any lox available. 3. Egg & cheese on a croissant- the place didn't have any croissants... so had to substitute this for a roll 4. It was the chef's second day in the kitchen. Bagels alone wasn't great quality..it was edible enough, but extremely chewy and stiff, especially after taking so long to prepare the orders and with two people working in a place that is seemingly popular with the Yelp Community, the amount of time it took this order to be ready was a little ridiculous. I ordered the same thing back home the following day and it took less time to make here in NJ than it did here on a non-busy day with just my husband and friend as their sole customer at the time.

Unfortunately, none of the bagels or cream cheeses were labeled. My excitement quickly turned into confusion when I took a big bite of what I was sure was my beloved strawberry cream cheese... only to discover it was definitely not strawberry. And let's just say an onion bagel paired with the wrong cream cheese is a combination I wouldn't recommend. The food itself was great, but a little labeling would go a long way. A simple sticker or note on the bottom of each cream cheese container and small tent cards identifying the bagel flavors would save future customers from accidental flavor roulette.
