Stopped in at the recommendation of my friend that lives near by before I made my drive back to NC. I was greeted upon entry and the atmosphere was super cute! I ordered a piece of crumb cake and a large chai, both of which were really good.

Went here Monday night for a specialty reserved event. They let us make purchases even though they were "closed" so I was happy to finally be able to try their coffee! The inside was so pretty! Beautifully decorated with christmas decor! The staff was friendly and also helpful when I asked questions about their menu. I decided to try a drink from their seasonal menu/December special. An Iced Santa's Cookie (10/10) it was sweet and flavorful; loved the cookie butter syrup! Def will return to try more of their drinks and some "Bodega bites" My overall rate of experience : 10/10

Super cute café, with great ambience. Customer service was amazing and I got a blueberry cheesecake cold brew, and it was very good. I will be back again.

I adore this little coffee shop. and that's just what it is. It's very small inside but cozy. I went during the christmas season and it was so festive in there as well as many festive drinks! I ordered the Rudolph (white mocha & cranberry with dried cranberry topping) and it was delish! I never had cranberry in a coffee drink before. It was so good and unique. My husband ordered the La Isla (espresso, mocha, and coconut) which is on their standard menu. He also ordered a sausage egg and cheese sandwhich which came out quick and also hit the spot! We don't come out here often but I will definitely be back. Their pastry counter was also stocked with so many goodies!

Good service with great food and nice drink options! Offers an aray of drink styles and flavors to accommodate any palate and preference. Size wise its cozy, but not overly intimate. Has a soothing modern atmosphere with hints of ethnic heritage and cultural identity

This spot is cozy, friendly, and the food? Exquisite. If you're from the island and the brick city of NYC, this Bodega really hits home. From the "Quesito" to the "Cortado" coffee, along with smooth jazz and hip-hop music, it reminds me of the stoops in Brooklyn. Definitely a place to start your day. Ordering an everything bagel and quesito to wash it down with a nice soothing lemonade for $15. You absolutely can't beat it. #Bodega #Food #Coffee #Brooklyn

Cozy Vibes, Great Coffee & Dog-Friendly Perks! We visited Bodega Café as part of our Sip & Sunday Passport Series, and this spot absolutely delivered! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. They were super helpful and even recommended the Island Cold Brew with coconut cold cream -- and it did not disappoint. Smooth, tropical, and refreshing! I also had a maple pecan pastry that was out of this world -- perfectly baked, sweet but not too sweet, and paired so well with the coffee. And of course, our pup Lexi was with us -- they're dog-friendly as long as your pup is leashed, and they even offer pup cups! Lexi tore hers up with her whole nose covered in whipped cream. Major hit. The shop was clean, modern, and buzzing with energy -- clearly a local favorite with great foot traffic. If you're in the Virginia Beach area, whether you're part of the passport tour or just need a good cup of coffee and a warm atmosphere, Bodega Café is a must-visit.

Very cute modern industrial yet modest size cafe. The staff was very friendly and went through the menu of their most popular items and which ones were sweeter. I also asked about their bagels and they said they get them from another local shop and NY Bagel (which we love!). I did decide to try a croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon egg and cheese. Delicious! We also went with the sweater weather and haystack drinks. The sweater weather had maple and cinnamon. This will be a repeat. The haystack was also delicious with a butter pecan flavoring. I would also like to come back when it's warm to try their cold drinks with cold foam.

Quite spot and amazing service. Highly recommend Spanish Latte yummy.

The coffee was super yummy and beautifully presented. I did try their pastries, I loved the service and feeling of home.

The coffee was tasty! The space is tucked away in a corner but worth it to try! They have different holiday menus to try. The staff was super friendly and happy to be there!

I went here for the first since i knew this is new but had not had the chance to stop in. I went in and it is a small shop so its cute and cozy. The service is nice I ask to go to the restroom before I ordered and she said that is fine. After i got out there were more people in ordering so I waited but they were done ordered os i waited till she was done before i started ordering I saw passionfruit in the pictures of the reviews so i ask if there was any juice like passion fruit drinks and she said there were out but got orange juice. I think i should have what teas she had cuz I just read there are some flavor teas, but I didn't think of that. I ordered the ice bodega cat which has expresso, white mocha and lavender got that asked if I wanted anything else like bakery items or stuff like that I think next time I will come back to try that The ice bodega cat was nothing special when first sip but after 2nd sip it was flavorful and tasty.

I know bacon, sausage, ham, (and Taylor Ham if you're from Jersey like me) are the standard breakfast sandwich meats, but try the pastrami! I know a lot of Southerners don't care for the greatness of a bagel, they prefer their biscuits and that's all well and good. She gave me the run down on the stuffed French toast, so I just had to have it. It was seriously delicious! It might just be up there with the Empire State for me. Their Pastrami is just that good. As for the Fire Island, it's perfect for you if you like a kick. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Everything worked well on the sandwich, it can just be a much for breakfast sometimes. Though, you are allowed to make you needed modifications. Maybe a different bagel would lighten things a bit. Overall, this is a much try for Chesapeake. I ordered the Williamsburg Bagel, which consisted of lox, plain cream cheese, tomato, capers, and red onion. I originally wanted it on an Everything bagel, but since they were out, I went with a Garlic bagel instead. Even though it was a tad bit crowded, my sandwich was ready in about 5 mins. I've had the Williamsburg Bagel before so I was excited to enjoy it again but I wasn't a big fan of the thick-cut red onions they added on there, and I actually love onions! Unfortunately, I ended up taking most of them off. I also wish it had more cream cheese, the thin layer on the bottom just wasn't enough for me. That said, the bagel itself was fresh and overall, the sandwich tasted good. At almost $20, it did feel a little pricey for a bagel sandwich, but I enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back to try other options. The interior is full of Brooklyn pictures, which I love! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

My husband and a friend came here on a Thursday morning to order 6 items and they were gone for almost an hour (it was a 10 minute drive from where we stayed). They come back with a bag of "bagels" (if that's what you want to call them) drenched in ketchup. Our orders were extremely simple: BEC w/PK on a plain bagel Egg and cheese on a croissant BEC w/PK on an asiago bagel Taylored Ham, egg & cheese on a bagel Toasted everything bagel with lox & cream cheese Here is everything that went wrong: 1. The bagel store didn't offer BACON, so we ended up substituting for sausage. The sausage patty was probably the size of my kid's palm- that's how small it was. The eggs were overcooked and had no taste, but don't worry, they'll make sure to smother the entire bagel with ketchup to make up for it. 2. TOASTED bagel with lox & cream cheese- bagel was not toasted, and there wasn't any lox available. 3. Egg & cheese on a croissant- the place didn't have any croissants... so had to substitute this for a roll 4. It was the chef's second day in the kitchen. Bagels alone wasn't great quality..it was edible enough, but extremely chewy and stiff, especially after taking so long to prepare the orders and with two people working in a place that is seemingly popular with the Yelp Community, the amount of time it took this order to be ready was a little ridiculous. I ordered the same thing back home the following day and it took less time to make here in NJ than it did here on a non-busy day with just my husband and friend as their sole customer at the time.

I already knew this was my destination as I had been following them since they opened in VB. Upon our arrival we found the Cafe about a 1/4th of the way full so I had hopes for breakfast in a quiet setting. Even though there was a steady flow of traffic, we were able to dine in a relaxed setting without feeling rushed. I mention this because with it being a holiday weekend full of Jeepers, I fully expected them to be packed. The wait to order was too long as it left me staring at the pastry window so long I almost ordered one of everything however; I refrained from doing so but still bought 4 pastries, French toast & seasoned potatoes. Yes yes, alot of food for 1 person but I still had 2 days left in my visit and well, I have a thing for pastries. The pastries were: mango & passion fruit eclair, a pineapple muffin, lemon raspberry cake & profiteroles. I loved everything with the exception of the eclair. It wasn't anything against the eclair, it's just the mango/passionfruit mixture was just too passionate for my tastes. The muffin reminded me of my own homemade upside pineapple cake without all the brown sugar. It was light and buttery. The Lemon raspberry slice was delightful & not the least bit tart or too sweet. A mixture of both flavors without either one overpowering the other. The cake was super moist, perfect. The profiteroles were my favorite. They reminded me of that feeling I had the 1st time I tasted them while living in Italy. The choux perfectly baked and so delightfully light. The French toast was good enough without the side of syrup. The star for me of the breakfast items were the potatoes. I LOVED them. They were served HOT, seasoned just right with their insides softer that a baby bottom. I coulda just ordered 2 servings of those & bypassed the toast. All in all, well worth the wait. The folks were friendly, the Cafe clean and the seating plentiful and comfortable. I would recommend this place for both pastries & French toast & spuds.
