Service was friendly, rate a 5. They recommended their limited time holiday special drinks so I ordered the almond one. Served in cute mug. The drink was a 5. Ambiance is cozy and cute, 5 stars. They had macarons assembled as a Xmas tree. The cream was too sweet and macaron were hard, unfortunately..

I'm a huge coffee girl. So, when I found this adorable shop right by my daughter's daycare with a Friday off, I'm so in! Parking lot can be tight and it's an awkward location just before a traffic light off Witchduck but, no biggie. Signs posted that they're very strict about parking in the nearby lot so, just don't. They also have free WiFi. Very cute inside with a small amount of tables and a ton of macaroons and baked goods. Fresh, rotating scone flavors and croissants and a ton of seasonal coffee flavors that they make in-house. I chose a marshmallow macaroon for Easter and an iced oat latte. Coffee flavor was SO good. Just what I'm looking for with my lattes (no syrup). Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Great first impression. I'll be back!

This cafe is tres cute! There's so many options when it comes to breakfast delights and espresso drinks along with the macaron flavor variety being extensive! Visiting from out of town and tried the fall themed coffee menu - boogeyman because I'm a sucker for pumpkin and of course the pumpkin spice macaron. Their display of foods and sweets is so enticing and the aroma fills the air with buttery croissant goodness. I got the pistachio croissant to which had a yummy filling with a crunchy toasted nut top. The crew worked extra hard to churn out food and drinks while taking order requests. The staff worked well together to keep the flow steady so kudos to their teamwork!

Another advertisement from Instagram that made me wanna go. Valentine's Day you can always expect places to be busy with that in mind. I figured this might be the right spot because it's small. I figured not too many people would go there but boy was I wrong because their bakery case was slim pickings the one thing that I look forward to is getting some fresh macaroons and guess what there was none available so I was a little upset, of course because there was none available. They were offering live music and apparently some appetizers. I did not see any of that available. I did see live music. I decided to order a bowl of French onion soup. The French onion soup did have good flavor. If I can critique it I would definitely say they need to sauté the onions a lot longer . The bread and the cheese on the French onion that was baked on the top was hands-down the best part. Would I go back? Of course, I'll go back because I love their macaroons.

The turn from the road was kind of hard to see, but luckily I found it. Walking into this place, it's like a little cottage--super cozy! It's moderately spacious but limited seating. The croissant was delicious and freshly made. The coffee had a bold flavoring but was not overwhelming (which I love). My only critique here was the staff. Not necessarily rude, however just seemed a little rushed and low energy. I will cut them a break and say that maybe it was due to me coming in towards closing. Overall, this is a cute place and Definitely wanna check out that tea time!

Cute little place. Heard it used to be an antique store. My husband just stopped by for a snack. We both got a bottled drink le Village. I got the Lemon Mint, and he got Blood Orange. We got pastries. I got the Almond Pistachio Croissant and he got the Pain au Chocolat. We didn't stay. We will have to come back for the full experience another time.

Very cute, quaint little Parisian coffee shop. The staff is very friendly, just a bit of a wait for our drinks with us being the only ones there. But it was well worth the wait. The iced caramel macchiato and iced white mocha were delicious! The coffee/espresso was very smooth tasting and didn't give that bitter taste you sometimes get. We will be back for more coffee and to try their pastries!

Iced honey pistachio latte at their one outdoor table, super relaxing! More outdoor seating to come!

Decided to pop in on a Friday afternoon, and I honestly fell in love with how charming the place is! The shop is sidled off the side of a busy road, but there is a sign for the cafe that makes them easy to find. They have their own little parking lot which is very nice, but it might get a little cramped in their busier times! Upon walking in, I immediately noticed how tastefully and charming the cafe is decorated- they are situated in one of the oldest houses in the area and they really set up the decor to work nicely with the house. They have a main seating area, back area, and one table outside for now but soon to be more. To get to the back room from the counter, you have to walk by their open kitchen, which I really like as it makes the cafe feel super homey! As for menu items, they seemed to have a decent selection of drinks and pastries. I decided to just have their honey pistachio latte that day, and it was not bad! I personally like my lattes a bit sweeter, so I would recommend asking for extra honey, but I really appreciated that you can see actual bits of pistachio in the drink! They do not skimp out on ingredient quality here. All in all a lovely little cafe to have a meetup or some R&R for yourself, definitely can't wait to come back!

Bonjour, mes amis! Cafe Genevieve (CG) has truly grown up! From farmers markets to their first retail location in Selden Market in 2022 (?), they recently opened their second location in Virginia Beach in the Historic Caraway House. It's the oldest structure in Virginia Beach, dating back to 1734. The building had been occupied by another coffee shop previously, but they unfortunately didn't last very long. The team at CG has done an amazing job at renovating and decorating the home, while preserving its charm and have completely transformed the space, combining beautiful colors and old and modern furniture. I had their La vie en rose latte that is made of strawberry and rose syrups and a chocolate crème brûlée that was torched to order. Both the latte and crème brûlée were delightful. Things to note: - they have their own parking lot - they have more menu items (soups, sandwiches, pastries) as compared to Selden Market - FYI, the syrups are made in house by one of the owners - they serve Rich Port coffee, their own customized blend - they have wifi and although there is very limited seating, it's the perfect spot to meet up with a friend or a mini date with your SO. Go and experience our little piece of Paris in Virginia Beach! Enjoy, mes amis, and never stop exploring!

Everything looked lovely, it was hard to decide on what to get. She had also just made some fresh pastries. I decided on some ube pendesal, and as I'm a sucker for tiramisu I also asked for that. She offered the fresh pendesal as well, which I couldn't say no to, so I got that as well. She was overall very nice. I saw the empanadas in the corner, and I know I'm already gonna have to come back to try more. She told me how to keep the pendesal fresh, and I thanked her and went to my car to try the breads. The fresh pandesal was amazing. Fluffy, light, warm, soft, a little sweet, just so good. The ube one was a little heavier, and had a halaya and cream cheese filling, which I just loved. It would've been better warm, but I was hungry and wanted to try things. I waited til I got home to try to tiramisu, and oh my god that is some of the best tiramisu I've had in the area. I tried one at the farmers market by an Italian lady, and I think this one is better. It has good ratios of everything. It's not drowning in coffee, the cream is nice and sweet, and it isn't too mushy. This will now be my go-to spot for tiramisu for sure. I can't wait to come back and try more!

Hidden Gem for Sweet Tooths & Pup Parents!…read more We visited House of Marmalade as part of the Hampton Roads Passport Series, and I am so glad we did -- I don't think I would've discovered this little gem otherwise! The shop is small and cozy with no indoor seating, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and incredible sweets. The bakery case was absolutely stunning -- full of beautifully made cookies, macarons, and more. We tried three macarons (espresso, almond, and salted caramel), and every single one was perfection -- fresh, flavorful, and just the right size and sweetness. We also grabbed a shortbread cookie, which was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And let's not forget our pup! Lexi got a pumpkin cupcake with peanut butter icing, topped with a tiny bone-shaped treat -- not only adorable, but she devoured it. Definitely pup-approved! The staff was fantastic -- super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You can tell they care about their craft and their customers. Whether you're doing the Passport Tour or just looking for a place to grab something sweet, House of Marmalade is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back!
